This is so darn true. I worked for about 2 months at a booth in front of different businesses every day taking donations for child su*c*de and bullying and I can say without a doubt that the people who gave the most and the most often are those that I connected with about some pop culture thing or complimented the piece of their outfit they were most proud of that day. I got so many "I can't give today, but you're doing great work" and "Here's $20 man, what's the organization called again?" You need the doom and gloom and people do need to be informed because otherwise con men can trick you into giving to them instead of causes that actually need it, but people don't give because you have "the best cause", they give because you make them happy.

This video was one of my favorites of this series, but unfortunately also fully sent me over the empath edge. Tell me why I am crying in my living room simply because I am so thankful that Hank gets to eat a giant cookie. He looked so happy biting into it. I'm so glad he gets to continue to enjoy things.

As someone who's struggled with chronic illness and the constant looming of dying, this was amazing. I agree with Hank. It's terrifying, but curiosity is so important. I've spent so many days doing research into the treatments and medications I take and are available to me. All the procedures they suggest I dive deep into statistics and the effects. It gives you a sense of control in a situation where everything seems so unpredictable. You never know what's going to happen or how something is going to effect your life, but gathering information and making decisions for yourself is so important.
