The look in Josh Pecks’s eyes when he realized Josh could relate to his struggles with weight and food really warmed my heart
“give them the dignity of their own experience” is genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever heard in terms of raising kids
I appreciate how vulnerable josh is in this. I know talking about topics such as weight can be hard or triggering but I appreciate how he is willing to answer these questions

my favorite part about this is the fact that josh #2 is just munchin the whole time. normally on shows like this it feels like the celebritys are scared or uninterested in the food which takes away from the whole point. but you can tell josh #2 is genuinely enjoying his food which is nice to see.

And then the documentary released...
Damn this was a good conversation. I was a chubby teen and peaked at about 250lbs but I developed anorexia after getting picked on and dropped to 134lbs at me lowest (I'm 6'2). I'm now 35, keep between 160 and 170 but the eating disorder never goes away. Constant struggle. It is manageable, though. Kind of came to the conclusion that I'll never like how I look to myself regardless of how I actually look to others. Sometimes if I see a pic or catch a peek at a CCTV at a store I see that, damn, I am pretty slim. Might wanna put on a few lbs. Then I look in the mirror and think I'm overweight. Lovely times. Thanks for bringing light to these kinds of issues. Especially relating to men. Guys don't talk about this stuff enough.

@@Ashley-db7eu So my brother had passed away from a heart attack not long before and we had just gone into the first lockdown. So I reached a point where I decided I had to do something about my condition. At first, I went on a diet plan which was 1200 calories a day just to get an idea of what the amount of food I should be eating was (I realise that calorie reduction for my size then was extreme) and with that the only exercise I did for the first 6-12 months was walking. I started by aiming for 6000 steps a day and gradually increased it when that became easy. After about 12 months I had lost so much weight id gone from a 5xl shirt down to just L. Now I am a bit of a gym rat and am even applying for a job in the armed services. Honestly, if anyone is struggling please do reach out and contact me as I would love to help. This isn't the whole story, I've glossed over identifying emotional hunger from actual hunger, plus transitioning from weight loss to maintenance but yeah.

As a fellow chubby caterpillar turned beautiful butterfly named Josh, I approve of this message
“I’ll smell the flowers but flowers are stupid.” Is definitely a great way to live your life. 😂
I know this show is supposed to be about learning about guests and contemplating life/food but the absolute raw honesty and openness of this episode gets me. Im so glad that both of them are confident enough now to talk about the things they did in this episode.
This was the best interview yet. The chemistry and lightheartedness while still talking Abt heavy topics was everything. I really enjoy this series and I'm looking forward to more in the future.

I grew up in the early 2000’s being overweight with separated parents and being socially awkward due to not being comfortable with myself and being outcasted and made fun of due to my weight.
