Watching this in the theater. I was thinking Hangman is coming and it was as cool as i expected.

I like to think the last Su-57 pilot is the same MiG-28 pilot Mav flipped off all those years ago.

I Know It's Supposed To Be A Really Cool Surprise Not Knowing Hangman Actually Going Out And Saving Them But It Would've Been Even Cooler To Know If He Was Allowed To Leave Or Said F'-It To Go Save His Brother's And Have Him Communicating With The Ship Not Knowing If He'd Make It....Then We See Him Thinking He Doesn't Have Enough Time To Make It Then It Cuts To Them Fighting And Then We Don't See Hangman Again Until He Saves Them We'd Still Have That Surprise And It'd Be More Intense In My Opinion 🤷‍♂️

I am good. I'm *very* good. Goddamn I love this film.

Thinking the same thing, didn't he get a missile lock warning? Unless the radar on an Su-57 isn't that good on the back... But that extension on the back tail beyond the engines IS a sensor pod, he should've heard it coming.

@@Kinglore2000 Its a movie but in RL, that SU-57 would have had the same counter-intel planes, satellites, and comms as the Americans in the film. So no, it wouldnt have gotten shot by 1 missile cause they were going after an older 1970s fighter craft that was was underclassed to begin with lol..

The plane is not the issue. The pilot is the problem. It was so focused on the F-14 trying to escape that they likely didn't pay attention to the Hornet

I wonder why the A10 is only for air force , it will be great if their is a navy version , i feel sometimes that this aircraft meant to be naval not air

The A10 was designed for close air support for ground troops, not for air to air combat or precision target strikes.

The A-10 is a little too old and dated now for such a project, but yeah, had back in the 70s and 80s, if they had a version with wings that folded, and a tailhook, it probably would have been a great plane to have for attacking enemy shipping and giving CAS to the Marines on the ground, in retrospect. Now would have been practical going after a Soviet Battlecruiser, with all it's air defenses? Probably not, but it would have had a field day with coastal patrol craft, barges, and all the support vessels that are vital for military operations but don't get the glory of them.

The world of filmmaking: "Don't ruin a classic with some mediocre sequel." Top Gun 2: "Hold my f*cking lever!"
