HANGING GATES ON MASSIVE 24 FOOT PIPE ENTRANCE - ALONE WITH HOMEMADE TOOLS (PART 10)

It’s finally time to hang gates on the 8” Pipe Entrance Project. This is video ten in this series. I’ll be hanging both custom pipe gates I built a few videos ago in my shop here on-site by myself with the help of my gate jack and welding rig gin pole. It’s so great to have these homemade tools that allow me to do bigger projects like this myself and with minimal equipment.
We have at least one more video in this series coming next week so make sure to subscribe if you want to be notified. You can find links to the rest of the series below as well as links to the store. You can buy digital prints and material list to build your own gin pole and gate jacks from my shop.

Just a nood from another Old Okie Shidler. Like what your doing encourage all the young blood. I used to cut with oxygen now I wear it, Ha Learned to cut and weld form grandad and dad they were both pipe fitters. I went the way of an Ironworker wanted to put them up. Worked me last 3 years with the pipe fitters on a hanger crew at a power plant. Good wages and benefits . Keep up all your good videos.

That entry is a credit to you. Looks great now those very effective gates are hung. It can be hard to get a start especially in a rural area where they tend to go on word of mouth. Giving a bit either way and a bit of horse trading does help. A mate of mine shall we say dealt in commodities rather than cash for years as a way of living off grid. It was a way of life for him at the time. So many now chase the money but usually pay out the big money too. Each to their own.

Hey"A" man. Its a nice job, well done. Looks like you know what your doing, lol. I enjoyed the series, thanks for taking us through. Im not trying to judge, however its been my experience that when someone else doesn't like the price, you will often "jip" yourself out of getting paid. Hood down lights on.
