THIS STORY:
Coming from a large family who lived in Devon England, little Emmanuel Dannan's parents passed away and he was left an orphan. He was ultimately adopted by a family in America named Norton.
But his father would set upon him in a horrible way, because he would not tell a lie.
THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Wait!? Did you say this guy tied the 8 year olds hands together and then hung him from the rafters and beat on him for 2 hours till he died and he was charged with a misdemeanor!?? Iam speechless, with anger. Thanks for telling his story Ron. I don’t think justice served him, but you brought him back to life for us. He was a good honest boy. So sad. 😞

What a heartbreaking story, on so many levels. The poor kid's life was just FILLED with one tragedy after another. He loses both of his parents, and then the uncle who was caring for him and his siblings, and then finally he gets separated from his other siblings and winds up with abusive adoptive parents, who end up killing him. It's sad how orphaned children in that era were practically considered disposable, and treated like dirt if they didn't have a caring adult to advocate for them. I wonder what exactly Elsie was doing, to make her get so enraged about being found out -- maybe something super scandalous like cheating on her husband? I also wonder about Emmanuel's adopted sister, and what happened to her after Emmanuel's death. Did she stay with the adoptive parents, or was she taken from them and placed in another (and hopefully better) home? And I'm sure that if Emmanuel's biological siblings found out what happened to him, they were devastated! Poor kid, to die the way he did. . .but at least he's in Heaven now, where nobody will ever hurt him again!

Poor little Emmanuel.😢 Five years was not long enough of a sentence for them, they should have gotten way more time than that. Even if they did get 10 years, that wasn't long enough either. Talking about the Amish community, they are hard working people and they have lots of children, (usually 9-12 children) so the children can help out on their farms. My family is friends with an Amish family, they are good people. When ever we went to visit them, they always treated us like family and invited us to eat supper with them, they make really good bread. If you ever see any of the Amish in public, they will speak to each other in their Amish language which is German & Swedish mixed together. They speak that way for their own privacy. Keep yourself safe out there Ron.🙂💟

So very sad and a terrible ending for little Emanuel. Not taking anything from his awful death but even in the 1960s/70s I was orphaned and ‘farmed’ out to work on the land as a child and it was indeed back breaking and never ending. However, comparing the lives of some youngsters today, who have parents with no common sense and who pander to their offsprings every whim or push their own twisted agenda on them, I am grateful for the honest hard work I did. It sure makes one develop a backbone and enables them to see the insane from the good people. It may have been a tough beginning but it made me the strong, independent, perceptive person I am today. The way things are going in this world we may well all be looking to the likes of the Amish to survive in years to come. RIP Emanuel.

What a sad story with a tragic end, of a little boy who lost all those who loved and protected him, only to end up with two monsters who took his life, for telling the Truth! Hopefully he has reunited with those who truly loved and cared for him. Rest in Peace little Emmanuel Dannan. 💙❤💛

Very sad story. These 2 evil people who were involved in this boy's death have not escaped God's judgement. They should've been strung up high and sent to hell alot sooner. 5-10 years is nothing for what that poor boy had endured the last few hours of his life. Happy Labor Day Ron.

There's a special place in hell for people who abuse children, poor kid never stood a chance against his disgusting foster parents, but incredibly brave to stand up to them in his last moments. RIP Emmanuel you are in an much better place, may you forever be at peace and the monsters that are supposed to take care of you, forever be tormented in their special place of hell.☹🙏

Great video Ron, sad tale. I loved the end, very creative with ending. Loved the old woman's dress blowing in the wind. Very soulful. God Bless and take care.

They can try and run away and not stay in an area but The Devil 👿 was waiting for them! And Hell certainly won't be empty for people as evil as them! 😡... Poor little boy! 😢

I'm from PA Dutch Country, and I'm still amazed at how they continue to cling to the old ways. My best friend when I was little was a Mennonite boy who lived next door to me in Shady Grove PA
