I remember the Virtual Boy showing up sometimes in Tomodachi Life, that's about it. Not releasing VB games on the 3DS was such a missed opportunity.

The positive coverage I saw for the amicon ended as soon as the streamer learned the price. Every single time.

@@xxnoxx-xp5bl …I was moving on from my SEGA Genesis when EWJ came out…playing Tempest 2000 & Alien vs. Predator & Iron Soldier & DOOM & Rayman on my ATARI Jaguar. I mean…how was Sonic ever going to be topped on SEGA’s system? Well…Sonic The Hedgehog wasn’t topped or close to being topped. I’ve recently been playing Earthworm Jim a little bit on Antstream Arcade and I’m finding out that the game is just an okay/decent game…nothing more & nothing less.

Nintendo missed the boat with releasing a virtual boy collection... it would’ve been a perfect fit to see it on the 3DS. Think about it: the stereoscopic 3D would’ve been in line with the goal of the system as well as it being actually portable

I agree a huge missed opportunity on Nintendo part. I don't think they realize how many fans of the system missed out on buying one and cannot afford inflated prices of the original system. Maybe some day they will wake up and smell the coffee.

Yeah prices for entertainment media is outrageous now and sellers are pricing some people out of the gaming hobby. Im waiting for prices on some games to come down. I bought most of the retro games and systems i need a few years ago. Any retro re-releases i buy digital for the most part now.

There was a sequel a few years ago, Jesus 64: The Second Coming. Not as good as the first, but it was ok.

Being a student athlete is hard. If you feel that free world class health care, room & board, education, coaching and being a celebrity which comes with a myriad of perks is not enough compensation then don't play in college. I could see schools using the fact that they have to pay athletes as yet another reason to continue to raise tuition costs. I do agree that schools should not be pocketing all of that profit. Perhaps money made off the athletes should go towards making tuition somewhat more reasonably priced for the rest of the students.

Nintendo has acknowledged the Virtual Boy quite a few times off the top of my head, most of which were on the 3DS. -Super Smash Bros.: Melee: It’s on the entertainment center when you look at your trophy collection. -StreetPass: It’s one of the wearable hats for your Mii. -Nintendo Badge Arcade: Some of the badges -Tomodachi Life: One of many in-game items that can be purchased, gifted, and (I shit you not) worshipped by your Miis in a dream sequence. I’m sure there are others, again, those are just off the top of my head.

@@ozmond not complaining I just bought it during the livestream then realized you have to buy the 9.99 one for the podcast, which is more then Netflix btw and the same as Spotify where you can get 10s of thousands of podcasts.I don't mind supporting creators I like to watch but it just feels a bit steep, and diesel is more then gas where I live btw.

I'd honestly be more excited if Tommy was trying to sell a new famiclone with a fresh looking plastic shell.

99 bananas almost did me and a few others in once.

It was stupid of Nintendo to not even release any Virtual Boy games on 3DS.

The Amico will be the Quibi of consoles.

Ian, hope you read this comment. I picked up Mario and Rabbids and I'm hooked. Such a cool game and something outside my norm. Thanks for the recommendation and glad I got the sale.

There was some cool stuff with Legos back in the day. I took an ESP (expanded studies program ) class in which we had the Lego Technics kits with an interface with an Apple IIe. It was really cool actually. That was in 94...and now I feel old and sad.

I’ve long advocated for a virtual boy collection on 3DS, as far as acknowledgement I know that in the street pass games on 3DS I had picked up a virtual boy that worked as a hat but it was just magically stuck to my Mii’s face. Also I think they’ve displayed it at the Nintendo World Store

There is, in New Leaf for 3DS as one of the Nintendo items you get from fortune cookies. There's also several items in the game that are toys made by Nintendo back from 1960s-1980 like the Love Tester and Ultra Hand, the game's really cool like that compared to New Horizons

That Megaman coding tool looks great. For anyone with kids who don't want to spend so much, there's a free online tool called Scratch. It looks the same in terms of the simple building block workflow. But of course don't get to use a glove to control. Thats great for kids to learn coding with, and free

Sardines are fantastic - and there are many options for how to eat and varieties of sardines. Skinless/boneless out of the can is an easy and mild way. Smoked sprats are dynamite with some antipasto. Grilled fresh sardines are also awesome.

Pat. You should watch retro gaming explained. He explains they made the screen bigger than the old tvs screens to hide the game putting in things. That's why smb3 has that color thing on the sides. That's why in certain scroll levels turn a bush into a brick.

Oh God 99 Bananas... I think that's a Buffalo kid thing. A friend of mine completely wrecked his shed by throwing up 99 Bananas in it. It smelled like dead bananas soaked in gasoline for months.

I absolutely agree with you on “Midnight Club” (specifically, I want something closer to 3, I couldn’t even get into LA), but besides manpower, there’s the licensing hurdle. That’s what killed “Car Town”, a game I used to play on Facebook. Licensing all of those real-world automotive brands isn’t cheap. They’d make it back pretty quickly if the game was good. You know that, and I know that, but convincing Rockstar’s top brass of it is another matter entirely. Could they just go generic with it? Sure, but then it wouldn’t be as fun. I know you and other early PS2 adopters might still play it if they did, but for a lot of us, the third game IS “Midnight Club”.

The Amico fanboys are using the stock photo issue as "proof" that all these sites are just haters out to get Tommy. "Everybody uses stock photos! That's what they're for!" Really? This was E3. This is where people obsess about whether any video shown was "actual gameplay" versus "in-engine footage" versus "pre-rendered footage". If the final game looks *different* (not even necessarily worse) than what was shown at E3, it's a scandal. Remember "Puddlegate"? That's where people obsessed that in Insomniac's Spiderman game the E3 footage had puddles in different locations than the final game. People had to do analysis that there weren't fewer puddles or worse looking puddles, they had just moved around in the final game. Or how about Aliens Colonial Marines where Sega had to settle a Class Action lawsuit because the E3 footage was so wildly different from the final game? So now imagine if this situation happened with Microsoft. Microsoft is four months from launching their new console (after already being eight months late) and takes images of families using Playstation controllers and Photoshops (badly) in their new Xbox controllers. They would be crucified by the gaming press, social media, and every single gamer watching the E3 streams. The bigger question was, why even have those photos in there? One of the many excuses for the poor reception to the Amico's showing was "well he only had 15 minutes, so he couldn't show a lot of stuff". Then cut out the unrelated "AM I COol, or what?" opening, the inaccurate and out-of-date CG renders, and the filler shots of kids not actually playing the Amico that's pasted over top of a pizza. Put in more, longer shots of actual gameplay. Heck put in *different* shots than we've seen over the last year and a half so we can tell actual progress has been made. Heck, if they'd removed all those stock photos, they'd have had room for that EWJ4 "demo" they showed last year rather than just say "Trust us, there's an Earthworm Jim game being worked on". But I guess Tommy wanted to get the full $12 value (that's literally how much each one of those stock photos costs) by using them as space filler in Amico's coming out party.

Hey, do you remember Killzone 2 for the Ps3. Or the huge controversy over Watchdogs. People at E3 was calling those properties shady and sketchy and they were from well known game companies. So why should we believe a company like amico that has never launched anything.

Showing stock photos is ok at the very very beginning. 4 months before launch. Plus CGI renders of the console, at this stage shows lazyness and incompetence. He has been working on this console for over 3 years. He can't show the Real console or Real photos. He can't even show the release date or the cost of the console. And wonders why we call him a shady shyster Mike Kennedy 2.0 type.

You're not even allowed to use CG renders at the START of a Kickstarter project any more. Yet here TT is four months from the next Amico launch date (yeah, right!) pretending that it's totally not unusual for a legitimate console maker to do that. Tommy still keeps saying "Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft are affected by the pandemic too!" yet those guys launched their consoles and they've shipped MILLIONS this last year. Demand is outstripping supply for them, but they still are making and selling units. Tommy hasn't even started production. Tommy hasn't even shown he's passed certification that would allow him to start production. This is in contrast to Playdate (which Tommy constantly whines about getting good press while "haters" attack him) that has proven they can start production at any time. So even people who aren't "the big boys" are able to work around the pandemic better than Tommy and his "600 years of experience".

@@MrTBoneSF You are on the money. Tommy also mocked the VCS for the last 3 years. But they were able to have a soft launch during the pandemic. And another company tommy's whines about Blaze. Blaze not only launch the Evercade (during a pandemic) but are so confident the announced a brand new console, The Vs. Blaze showed Real photos of the Evercade months before launch. Also, why is tommy not telling people about the delay. There is no way in hell he can get parts, test those parts, pass certs, and ship in less than 4 months. Why keep investors and people that preordered in the dark. Why hide the cost of the console at E3. Why is he at E3 if E3 is a hardcore gamer event. Nothing he does makes sense.

This is pretty much how I feel. I had an Intellivision growing up and I still love the classic system today. And with the original announcement of the Amiico, I was pretty excited by the concept and seeing remade versions of old favorite games like Night Stalker was really appealing to me. But since then, it's been a downhill spiral, and after two delays and seeing nothing but a bunch of shovelware and no new developments. I had a founder's edition preordered and decided to cancel it (to be fair, they refunded my $100 deposit no questions asked) The E3 presser (which they emailed me about since I'm on their mailing list) basically felt like a brand new announcement of something that had never been heard of before, which depressed me because the original announcement was like 2 years ago at this point and the thing has been delayed twice (both of these facts were conveniently not mentioned in the E3 presser)

I’m not Italian or in my nineties, but I like sardines. Maybe it’s the Devonian in me? I just wish they’d pack them in water instead of oil, like they do with tuna now. Anchovies are great, too. Sometimes I throw a whole can of anchovies on a frozen supreme pizza. I rinse them thoroughly first, of course, they put WAY too much salt on them. That’s why I have to do it with a frozen pizza at home, most pizza places just throw them on there.

@@a-volpe9091 I realize that they use fresher stuff and have smaller portions in Italy, but even assuming one has a more authentic pizzeria nearby (which I really do not), it’s bread with cheese and a shitload of olive oil on it (about three tablespoons of the latter just on one personal Margherita) wherever you go. It’s not a health food by any stretch.
