The swatches are STUNNING. Honestly you have been a huge contributing factor to me falling back in love with knitting - I adore your videos!

I second that, her videos are so fun and informative!
Okay okay hear me out. The tan one: iced latte The green/navy one: midnight forest They're beautiful and such a vibe
I was thinking « Birch bark » and « Monet’s pond ». Both of those are absolutely dreamy.
I have looked at a bunch of yarn dyeing videos and I appreciate yours the most. You used thoughtful equipment/supplies yet still kept it accessible for the home dyer. I would like to try this myself. Btw, love your colors!
oh my gosh the yarn turned out so cool !!!! ive been thinking about trying to dye my own yarn for forever seeing your swatches might push me to finally do it
Wow, soooo pretty! Love, love, love the colors! I am happy to witness your journey into fiber arts......from the humble acrylic knitting beginnings (watching you knit that cloud sweater - my first intro to your yt channel) to this awesome yarn dyeing video. BTW, loved your mom's cameo appearance - peering through the glass door......hilarious!
I’m obsessed with both of these!! They were cute in the hanks (especially the brown one!!) but the swatches r gorgeoussss
As a fellow biochemistry major, I appreciate the full PPE when dyeing 😂
OMG they look amazing, especially love the brown one! So cute! The color really reminds me of coffee, so maybe call it the coffee corner?
The swatches are stunning 😍😍 Especially the greenish/blue one!! I don't usually go for green but I think the dark blue really makes it so unique and pretty!!
I love hand dyeing yarn. They came out fantastic! Also, when dyeing mohair the colors will always be more diffused because of the long fibers.
Oh wow!! The tones are so pretty! She made it look super easy too! 💕 I'm mind blown.
the brown/tan one reminds me of all the colours you get in an iced coffee. I LOVEEE it
Absolutely LOVE the colorways!! Definitely add to the shop! 👏
So cool! The color combos turned out gorgeous.
omg they came out so pretty!!! Im obsessed with the spotting from the brown!!
I love the colors so much! ❤️
Wow! Turned out so nice! Love the cafe color and blue green too.
This makes me wanna dye my own yarn wow those colours are gorgeous!
Both turned out really well!
i would love to see you dye more yarn and talk about the process and stuff
The tan one is stunning ❤
Now I want to dye my own yarn too🙈 they turned out sooooo well ❤️ love those colour variations
Thanks for this video. I was gonna dye some yarn myself
Alright when i saw the skeins I have to admit I thought both of them looked very ugly. But the swatches 👁👄👁 omg the swatches have fully convinced me I need to get some white yarn and dye it too 'cuz damn they turned out so pretty!!! I've always been afraid of getting yarn that had been dyed 2 different colors, I just personally don't like the look of the skeins so I always go for flat colors. I had no idea they turned out this pretty once you knitted them 😍 as always, you've made my knit world so much more wide 🥰
LMAO i laughed when your mom was peeping in the back
Beautiful yarn/colors
I love ur video!
AmaZing now I want to dye yarn
My lordy they are GORGEOUS take my money plzzzz
the brown and tan should definitely be named something like iced coffee or bubble tea, and maybe it's because i'm always thinking of Him , but the blue and green really reminded me of Hozier's album Wateland, Baby
Absolutely ExQuisite!!🤗💞❤💕☺
I'm 73. I stopped knitting at the age of 17. Last 3 months, I knitted 8 sweaters. However, I noticed knitting started to bother my eyes and I will see double! To avoid eye stress, I will knit only one hour before going to sleep but never during the day. It does work. Let me know if any of you are running into the same problems, I've encountered, unfortunately.

Do only one in a month. At leisure and enjoy the process. 3 in one month is to much effort on the arm n strain on the eye. Keep knitting n be healthy at the same time.

@@bmwvintageprincess I close my eyes when I knit and listen to books in various languages. It works. Thanks for your response. I believe I was getting overboard with knitting.
So cute I just love them both they would make cute socks you should name the brown and tan one s’mores
Wait a minute.. I usually go for funky 'unnatural' colors and I always hated brown and tan.. But I kinda fell in love with those colors now... 😍
She’s serving chemist today!
The brown reminds me of a tortoise shell Calico! :D I love it! I want to start dyeing my own yarns, how much about were all of your supplies? Also how often do you find yourself dyeing this many months later?
hi i wanna ask if u do the cook on the yarn or juz pouring hot water over ?
Hi there i wanna ask did you “cook” the yarn? As i saw most of the video they did it. I am juz wondering
The brown n cream cafelatte
Brown ones remind me of pouring cream into coffee and the navy green one of the the ocean or he light in the sky which I forgot what they are called.
i think you should call them northern lights and s'mores!
Where did you get your yarn to dye?
Borealis (like aurora borealis) for the blue and green and Latte for the beige and tan one
Have you seen the Vulcan sweater by Inga Semmigsen? It's intended for scrap yarn and I'm not sure i actually have enough 😂 I bet you might though!
Blue dreams and sand man.

OMG I LOVE IT
How much vinegar do you use? And when do you use the vinegar? I would love to know!
result are amazing! that mom in doors:D:D:D was hilarious!!! do you want try natural diy? I am collecting avocado peels, hope to finde pation and time for this:) (only it breaks my heart like oatmeal milk are wasted in this project:D)
I feel so inspired!! My wallet is going to kill me
First! You don’t know how fast I clicked on this vid THIS IS SOOO COOL
Looks like chocolate chip cookie dough and ocean front property
name the brown one chai
One small correction: you said you're using acid dye for "natural fibers" when more specifically it's "protein-based fibers" (wool, silk, mohair, etc) that take up acid dyes. Certain natural fibers like cotton, linen, and bamboo would use fiber-reactive dyes (which I think Rit also works as), but you don't use vinegar to set the color, you use salt. I'm really not sure what the overlap is so the distinction can get confusing. It's just something to keep in mind if you wanted to try dyeing cotton sometime.
Oh no, never any lab coat ironing if it ever was in a lab before! You could really contaminate your whole wardrobe with chemicals. They warned us in uni.

@@typicalbliss depends on what you got on it before ... What substances did you work with in the coat? I am a Chem student at uni, and I usually get a new one after every two student labs I do because I don't trust other people and usually get at least something on there and we get them super chaep at uni. If you know you and the people around you did not work with any dangerous things it is probably fine. I would not worry, but also maybe dont do it again. Also would recommend wiping down the iron. Then you should be all good :) My uni/workplace is really strict with avoiding contamination, we are supposed to put our street clothes (like jackets and pants) into a different locker then the labcoat and lab notes. We get two lockers each for that. But we work with pretty advanced sometimes dangerous stuff. If you don't, it will be fine.

Basically, what happens is that the heat of the iron can make tiny traced of substances melt, then they get on the iron, recrystallize and get settled in there, and when you iron something else, they re-melt and spread on the other item. The traces can be so small you cant see them, but if the substance is dangerous you still don't want them all over your clothes.
Love the tutorial wish you could speak a little slower
