You're not alone. I refused to look at it back in middle school because it was getting so much attention that it had the same effect as an overplayed song on the radio. I really wish I did look at it though, I'm a few years too late to see the og cast :/

Frrrr I would die to see this live

After three years of entering the HAMILTON ticket lottery in several cities, and never being selected, I finally purchased tickets and got to be in the "room" where it happened! An absolutely amazing and memorable experience... HAMILTON is music, history, drama, comedy, murder, adultery, politics, deception, narrative, and dance delivered with energy and funk!! The nuanced and blatant "shade" that undergirds the stories, the characters, the times, and the Revolution give the story such saucy edginess!! As an educator, I wish all students in America could be in the audience where it happens! Thank you Lin-Manuel Miranda for your genius and for creating this cultural phenomenon!

FRR! This literally JUST happened to me during Stay Alive (Reprise). It was like Philip: Mom, I'm so sorry for forgetting- Ad: It's not just a carpet. Not even lying this was the worst timing ever.

Do I like politics? No. Have I ever had a care for history before watching this musical last july? No. Have I ever watched a musical before this one? No. Can I sing all of this by myself in one sitting and do I know every single lyric by heart? Yes.

All of these songs are just amazing. However, they set the tone with the first one. The first song always sets the tone for the rest of the play. And they killed it.

I was fortunate enough to see it in Broadway and man was that an experience!

Honestly I hadn't listened to Hamilton in a WHILE. Coming back to it feels so good tbh!! especially using it as background audio for my assignments now that I'm in my career instead of being a middle schooler like I was when this came out, man time sure is crazy

I first listened to a song ( I am not throwing away my shot) from this at my brothers 3rd grade concert.. 5 yrs later,i came across it again from my fourth grade classmate who was talking about seeing this musical live, and my teacher told us about this and how it was on Disney. Later that day, i was watching that with my brother and we both fell in love with it. A year later, my brother and I were total geeks about this, and for my birthday, my parents got us tickets to see it live on broadway. This musical got me through the hard times. It has all the emotions. Happiness, betrayal, anger, and sadness. I LOVE Hamilton!❤😊

I saw this in London last week. Believe me, seeing it in the flesh is a million times better than listening to it. My eyes and ears were overwhelmed. So much emotion that you could cut it with a knife, every type of emotion that you can imagine. At times there was a wall of sound, with superb harmonies, that was overwhelming. Well done the fantastic cast.

So agree. Saw it in London too last week. As you say....what a cast!! So pleased it's going on tour to get to the cities where more people can see it.

Feels like Hamilton talks while the others sing, granted I'm thinking about this in You Obedient Servant when Burr's singing goes off the deep end

I kinda wish someone would animate the whole musical in a style like schoolhouse rock. I just think that'd be neat

what a wonderful show. I was not expecting to love this musical as much as I did. I think my favourites are Alexander Hamilton, My Shot, Satisfied, Wait For It, and Stay Alive. Just magnificently crafted lyrics too. Lin-Manuel Miranda is a musical genius.

I haven't even seen the musical but listening to the soundtrack is really nice even though I'm missing much of the context

Although I appreciate your appreciation for the music itself it's clear that you have no appreciation for the theatrics of Broadway. If you've never seen a live Broadway show I would incline you to do so. The visuals are indescribable. There is nothing like it in the world, literally

​@@goldenviperthehivewingYou mean Lin manuel Miranda? He has done many things : His first musical "In the Heights" in 2007 and the film adaptation was released in 2021. He also wrote songs for the Disney Moana and Encanto. Miranda created 21 Chump street, a short musical (15mn) available on KZread. In 2021, he directed the movie Tick tick boom (with Andrew Garfield), and they're Hamilton Easter eggs in the movie.

Lin-Manuel Miranda doesn't just deserve an Oscar, he deserves every good musician title.

I watched Hamilton bc my friends asked (forced) me to. Even if your not a big fan of musicals, Hamilton is IT. Happy I did watch it! I love the songs so much.

But imagine how Eliza felt she found out that her husband was cheating, her son died, then her husband died.:(

As an English project we had to write a book, sew it, make the title page, everything. I chose to make a book about Burr, about his life and how he shouldnt have been villain in Hamiltons life. I wanted to give him a spotlight instead of Hamilton. Ngl he deserves way more then the hate he got. 🙂

This definitely isn't a phase... I have been listening to Hamilton for 7 years, man. It's not going as strong as when I first discovered it, but there will be times during the day where I just burst out into "LEE, DO YOU YIELD!? SHOT HIM IN THE SIDE, YES HE YIELDS!" All of the You'll Be Back variations are involved in every shower I take, the Hamilton company's appliances are a reminder whenever I go to a store, and like other songs, hearing random things people say can bring the song right back into my head, words, sentences... "I'll be back," "I'm satisfied," "1776"
