Have you seen the French and Italian MRE’s? Some even come with wine😂. I can’t believe I ended up with MRE’s as a hobby. My best friend I would always camp/hunt/fish with, when he was finally discharged he brought MRE’s on our first camping trip after he got home. We never went to a campground. We just drove up into the mountains and straight up a fire rd then would set up camp. Often times we had to cut down dead trees to make a site (it’s illegal here to chop down live trees for that purpose). It was pouring rain and we got there at 12am. Once we had our tents up, he revealed a golden item I had never seen (this was 2005)….an MRE! Because there was NO WAY we were building a fire. Usually we would keep a fire going all weekend and cook fish and rabbit and so on. That night. As a civilian. I grew to love the mre. He gave me the beef stew. I’ve never been more full. More comfy and more ready for bed after setting up camp in a downpour after eating that mre. This is when my curiosity started lol. What a magical item. Forget the constipation after! Lol. It just literally made my night. Thank you for your service and sacrifice to keep us all safe. Much respect.

My father is a Vietnam veteran. Still was on rations not MRE’s. When I finished college and my friends were all coming back (well not all, RIP buddy), from Iraq. Many brought MRE’s home. When my dad saw it, you would think I was a kid again and set the house on fire he was so mad 😂. Because the MRE’s were so good to him 😂. He literally told my buddy who did two tours that he hasn’t experienced a “real” war zone😂. All because of the MRE lol. Just proves food is key to morale. Ps. All my buddies are marines. I’ve had a great privilege of being able to, as a civilian, visit the commandants back yard (yes, where the cannon is). A tour of the oldest marine corps barracks, located in DC. Got to see where the body bearers train (one of my friends was a body bearer). Not to mention all the time I spent across the country at Pendleton. So THANK YOU MARINES! You all are the wall between civilians and danger. I can’t thank you all for your service and sacrifice enough!

Anthony, first of all, thank you for the kind and heartfelt words for veterans. Secondly, I love the story of your dad telling another Marine he wasn't in a 'real' war zone. I have to admire your bravery in actually trying that mre, i think i would have been out as soon as saw the state of the mac and cheese 😂 Great video as always :)
Thanks for all of the new videos!
I've always wanted to try a MRE! love your videos keep doing you and thank you for your service. much love

Thank you so much for this review! It was a joy to watch.
Gosh, I love these videos
Ive got one from saudi still have it same color as yours , I enjoy your channel takes me back to the days , thanks for taking the effort

You are right, food is a key to morale. I know the feeling about thinking he was a kid again. There is something about military food of all varieties that brings back good times for me, too. TFW!
I really enjoy these videos and story's my grandfather brother departed canada in June 1942 disembarked in Liverpool and served in England 1943 they served in Italy until passing away due to wounds received in action. Keep the stories going I feel like your my dad telling me stories I love it mann❤️🙏🏼
I joined in 2005 and remember this MRE. I would always trade one of the breads.
I was one of the joe's that loved the mac n cheese! i always traded the bbq sauce and got regular cheese and jalapeno cheese. I would add the bacon and jalapeno cheese and the burger patty in the heater to get it really hot then add to the mac n cheese. then I would use the regular cheese or peanut butter if I couldnt get cheese to put on the bread. Thanks for the video's brother and thank you for your service from a soldier circa 2005-2014
Great! Thanks! Have a nice Sunday!

This is my first video of yours I am watching. Thank you for including prayer into your video. God bless from a fellow brother in Christ. (and I do believe the reason your military has been so successful is because of all the praying servicemen, despite some of the bad leaders you have had during the years. Love from Norway)

As a non-marine or serviceman, I really have to compliment you for trying anything more than the beef patty, pretzels, and tea. The gum, I think would be the most safe and satisfying item even if it wasn't stored properly.

That was from 2005! Had many in Iraq in 2004-2005! Actually, 21 years ago today I got to Parris Island to begin My U.S.M.C. journey! Pay entry base date. The Mac and cheese was subpar back in the day also. Keep up the great work, Marine!

Cool, Scott. Thank you for clarifying the date. I was starting to think it might even be from '95. I began my journey as a Marine on July 15, 1980. One of the hottest summers on record to date. Only had heat stroke once. TFW and Semper Fi!

Very cool. I did my army basic in 1983 and they gave us C-Rations when we were in the field. I still keep a P-38 on my keychain, lol. That was when the transition to MREs was taking place, so I bet they were just trying to use up the C-Rats. Yea, the old, big brown bag, MREs didn't have heaters.

had that exact same one several times after Katrina wiped us out back in 2005 , the national gaurd distributed cases of mre's and ice out to civilians.
God bless this man and his family.
That is so good. I miss it.
This makes for a perfect Sunday. Very cool pictures as usual. I’m sorry but I giggled when you got to the Mac and cheese because I saw that outcome coming a mile away 🤣. I bet these were popular when fresh being the components offer a bit of flexibility. You can go the bacon cheeseburger route or burger patty with BBQ sauce and cheesy bread. 👍

I was really feeling cautious about the mac and cheese before you tried it, just because of the cocoa drink, from the earlier video. Just like you said, LOL! It must've really been bad, the way you were trying to get that rancid taste out of your mouth. I tip my hat to you, for having the courage to give these old MRE's a try. The burger reminded me of how those old salisbury steak frozen dinners used to look. I really enjoy your stories from your service days, and looking forward to more videos. God bless.
Have to say love your stories

Makes sense, Steven. I'll try to remember that if I come across it with another meal. TFW!
Chicken Ala King was the MRE people would grab first. I learned to eat the scrambled eggs with Tabasco and continue to do that today. We lived on these things while flying in and out of Somalia from Kenya. C-130 aircrew. Long days but a great buffet menu each night back at our Kenya hotel.
Im from Wisconsin you should make more vids here there's beautiful places here.
You should always knead or squeeze unopened packages of cheese, bbq sauce, etc.

I'm surprised they didn't include the "pain bun". 😄 You were in USMC 1980-84? I was USN 1980-86. Being a technical rate, we had to commit for six years.

Good afternoon from the Great State of Texas. I enjoy your video's. I iwill ask, how come you did not try heating the bread/buns?
We use to just turn the bag inside out about 1/2 way to make a bowl and dump everything in it and stir with a little water. Sturdy meal.

Heating the cheese makes the oils separate. It’s best to just kneed it in your hand before opening.
