Dr. Choi is a man of action he doesnt lack empathy but thats his deal, hes a military man and when your in war there very little room for empathy its mostly taking action cause saving lives was the priority no matter the cost, its just part of his training.

but he works in a hospital now. The mentality needs to change. You can't go into healthcare and lack empathy or disregard a patient's wishes if they have capacity to give or decline consent

@@cookiebootzz Again he doesnt lack empathy he values the life of his patients a lot more than you think, its part of his training he makes the fast decisions based on what is easiers and safer to heal he doesnt take risks cause he doesnt like to gamble with a patients life, cause hes already seen soldiers die in the battlefield, that kind of mentality is not easy to change you don't see a soldier saying "please let me die" they'll say "i wanna go home" or "i dont wanna die" and for any patient who has these kind of wishes i see why Dr. Choi would disregard them, either way it not somthing he likes to hear, besides its not like he didnt disregard this patients wishes he did give Wills method a try but was ready jump into action if things go haywire, has you can see when her presion started to go low, Choi just need to trust that some risks can be good but it wont be easy for him to accept.

@@Benimaru-DestructionKing doesn't like to take risks? Being a doctor is all about taking a risk, at least a REAL doctor and not these fake tv doctors that you see. After all, the medical accuracy is not that praiseworthy.

I'm tired of this petty war they got going on Will needs to get over the fact that he's not chief and Choi needs to trust the doctors under him and stop being so controlling

Both Will and Ethan irritate me. Will doesn’t like to follow the rules and doesn’t understand when people get pissed at him for it. Ethan’s a control freak who has to have everything his way or no way at all. Both of them need to check their egos at the door.

Dr Choi is a awesome person

I think they should get robin back because she is a epidemiologist ( a doctor who works with viruses and epidemics) to help with the pandemic since med could use any help they can get and it turns out her and Connor have been working in the same hospital the whole time so they both decide to come back to Chicago to help med with the pandemic and there they reunite with dr Charles and meet Anna for the first time and help Anna go through her parents divorce and everything because if there is anyone to help anna it’s Connor and robin since they both come from messed up family backgrounds and know how it feels especially robin since anna is going through exactly what she went through and maybe Connor could reunite with Latham, will and Ethan.

Dr. Choi literally never listens to patients wishes. It's kind of a ridiculous plot point, because he'd have either learned his lesson, or been fired for malpractice by this point.

For context, from what I can remember, this episode and the season it's from had a plotline revolving around a new trial drug that helped with severe heart issues that Will was helping test and implement. That's what was being used here and is why Dr. Choi is so apprehensive.

That Dr. Sabeena gave Will encouragement to do the procedure, knowing damn well you're not following the order from control freak Choi. At least Choi let Will zap her before. It didn't work. Ethan didn't probably want another high risk procedure. That last scene Ethan seemed annoyed by something else.

The patient recovers but the nurse who refused to follow Choi's orders is fired. Those arrogant, ruffled feelings must be soothed with a sacrifice, and that means the lowest employee on the totem pole is out of a job.

If the patient does not want to be treated, the doctor cannot do anything since doing something without the patient's authorization means suing the hospital.

If this actually happened in real life Max will be kicked out of the room and fired for not following the doctors orders.

Not really, since the patient did not authorize being treated, if the patient does not authorize it, the doctor should not do anything since not listening to what the patient says and treating him without authorization is a requirement of the hospital.

Can’t stand dr Choi his character is such a control freak and it’s just gotten so bad the last few seasons

I like his character. He's a little bit of control freak but at least he's trying to follow rules. It's hard to be in charge when nobody is following the rules. And the responsibility is huge

Ethan was just doing what was required of them to do first. There are protocols that doctors has to follow when seeing a patient. They try the regular ways first, then if things don't improve then they are allowed to make a judgement call if they think another way may work. Eventually Ethan did go Will's way but as we saw they were not sure it would have worked also. But as usual Will always gets the win with his reckless decisions. I am waiting for the day when he doesn't listen, goes behind his colleagues back, does something reckless or unethical, and actually has to face some serious consequences. But who am I kidding? We all know that will never happen to Will. He does everything so left sided, yet he always comes out the hero. Writers this storyline about Will is getting very stale and boring. You are sending some very bad vibes concerning doctors, which is you only win when you are reckless or unethical

Why does KZread show more Chicago Fire, Chicago Police and New Amsterdam? Remember when more Chicago Med Scenes were shown than they are now?
