I've been listening to Halsey since Ghost released until now. Honestly, I think her music is good. Her lyrics are written like poems. But seriously, I have no problem with her at all lol. Probably because I only paid attention to her music than her privacy. I wish people would care more about someone's talent/work/creation more than someone's personality. In my opinion, “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is the only pop sounding album she has ever released. “Room 93” and “Badlands” were more alternative pop, and her new album “Manic” literally cannot be categorized because every song on the album is a different genre. Yes, she’s been featured on “pop” songs but also recently she’s released a pop rock song “Nightmare” and released “Experiment on me” for the birds of prey soundtrack album where she literally screams her lungs out. Wow, a lot has changed in 4 years. You were right in a way, I think Halsey had to fully embrace being pop instead of distancing herself from it. She doesn't really have the strong fanbase presence that many other artists of her caliber have, so she needs to rely on catering to whatever sound the general public wants at that moment. She adjusted very well in doing that. Literally a year after this video, she jumped on the collab "Boy with Luv" and a song doesn't get more bubblegum pop then that. Had she stuck to the Badlands indie/alternative sound I don't think her career would've gotten as far as it's gotten. Not to mention, it helps that she isn't as outspoken as she was before. She was incredibly unlikeable back then lol.

she just doesn't have the range. she's not lana, she's not marina, she's not lorde, she's not charli xcx. she's not even hayley kiyoko sksksksk . she will never be an icon. the gays don't claim her, black people don't claim her. her space is in pop and it's ironic that thats what she's fleeing from. she's not a part of the fringes of society or the counter culture. she will never be a contrversial cult artist like she wants. she wants to be grimes or fka twigs but she's just far too boring.

Personally I don't like her because of BTS, but I appreciate all the effort she put in this collab. Like she sang a few lines in korean she even learned the choreography of the MV beforehand. She was really nervous to meet them, she couldn't even look them in the eyes lmao. She really felt genuine, and not like she was only doing this for clout like everyone says. I like Halsey's music, but you're so right to call her out here. Especially on the hypocrisy of how she handles her sexuality. She is no different to Demi Lovato. At all. Based on her music, I feel like Halsey dated (or maybe even just *almost* dated) one girl experimentally in her youth, and she does a Katy Perry and makes out with girls at parties, and that's the true extent of her bisexuality. To all the people saying "you don't know her privately!!" yeah, that's the point. I'm judging based on what she tells us in her music, just as she implies people should. And the impression I walk away with from that music is that she only seems to seriously date men. And it's just so obvious she considers her relationships with men more serious, passionate, and "real" than her ones with women. Just compare the way she depicts them in her music videos. The girls are always shown as this delicate, sensual, cuddles in soft lighting, one night stand type of thing. But with the men, they're all her grand true loves and end games. Or their personalities are so intense Halsey can't help falling in love with them. It's hard to describe what seems so fake about her bisexuality, but I think the Tumblr description says a lot. Tumblr is FULL of straight-with-a-twist girls like this who don't treat their own same-sex attraction equal to their opposite one, but won't shut up about how "gay" they are. Because in their minds that means they're open-minded and "good people" and earns them clout. It's so inorganic. But there is an army of girls just like Halsey who will defend her to the death. Even when she goes full "not like other girls" and announces herself as non binary. (Because that's not sexist to other women AT ALL. 🙄) Halsey is basically the music world's Jameela Jamil.

The same people who are trying to preach that "she's changed" or "ya'll are just trying to find something problematic about her" dont care about the people who were fans when she was doing and saying these things and how they felt....As a person who was her fan I dont care if she's "changed" or "she went through a lot in her life" (please stop using that as an excuse for people's behavior). If you love her and still want to be her fan cool good for you but stop making it seem like people who dont like her are just hater or people who dont know her cause some of these same people use to be fans of hers

Dank Potato chainsmokers were good until they where pushed to release an album and not masterpiece singles like they did before. The album was shit as a whole.

Sparkly Star I thought their album was great to be honest, tons of catchy songs and good dance production. I mean if you are looking for deep meaningful music then yeah you won't like it but it was a solid dance album and I like The Chainsmokers newer songs like Sick Boy and Everybody Hates Me

Cahan McLaughlin some of them where good but you can tell they were rushed and pressured to release multiple songs at once which wasn't their original style of composing. Yeah dance songs, sure, but if you take all their past singles and compile them into an "album"/playlist it's so much superior than their first real album. You take a famous painter who gets famous only because he takes his time with each piece to create a true masterpiece and flood them with commissions or a an offer for gallery showing with the condition of creating 12 new pieces in 6 months you're going to get an overall reduction of quality work. It's normal. But they forced them to make an album which took away some of their genius.

I think Halsey tries really hard to be different and unique but instead comes off as obnoxiously pretentious

I don’t care what this video says Halsey is one of my favourite singers

I liked her older music but I agree she is kinda unlikeable. But then again, I like artists for their music not their personality lol

I love her visuals, but I'm not a huge fan of her as a person

LRLArch tbh... Yeah. The thing about celebs is that you can only see the show. We don't know what goes on for Halsey as a person. Her job is to entertain and continually appeal to a certain group of people. She doesn't have to be humble or kind because it's really not her job. Whatever her morals are like as a person/ whoever she truly is can not be known by us, unless you or I really got to know her. That hasn't happened. All we do is speculate based on teeny bits of what we see.

She recently give bts piercing and they still on contact together . Jimin always praise her vocals and in 2019 she talked about how bts deserve a nomination for their album persona and she tweeted about it on twitter . She wrote amazing article about them in time magazine and they did the same in 2020 I'm an army and I love her so much those armies who hate her don't know anything about her or her friendship with bts
