My father passed away this year, I remember when I was a kid we played Halo together and he bought every game, At dinner we would talk about how the Autumn's captain, Jacob Keyes, had sacrificed so much. And how brave Sgt. Avery Johnson was. My father would ask me which way to go whenever he couldn't find his way, and I would often have to tell him that this was the way we came. Now that I think about it, he probably did it on purpose so we could enjoy the game together. We played Halo over and over again without getting bored. I think that was my happiest time. I'm really missing him.

2024 and I literally just sat in my room shedding tears while this played, I’ve never felt nostalgia like this before. This game was a different breed. This theme song was crafted so perfectly and was right in tune with the game as well. I can speak forever about it… I’d do anything to get those times back but I know just like myself and most of you, we are in our 30s now. Life is tougher and responsibilities are plenty but this right here was a privelage to hear.

I don't know about other Europe but, unfortunately, Halo was never cult classic here, like Call of Duty, for example. Hell, i only started this series last month and having a blast, and I knew zero things about it (aside from main character, of course), despite being a hardcore player.

This year for Christmas, my cousins and I played through Halo Reach Campaign on Legendary. We had so much fun, we're gonna do our best keeping it an annual tradition. That being said, halfway through we stopped to eat dinner. Afterwards, we chatted with the family on some of the latest drama with some extended relatives. I bring all this up, because we left on Halo on the title screen in the other room, so you can hear this theme faintly, while we were chatting. When everyone was silent, I commented, "Damn, the Family Lore hits different with the Halo Theme in the background". I'm pretty sure everyone was in tears after that comment. Easily one of my best Christmases ever!

All these comments saying "KZread didn't suggest it, you searched for it." That's literally what happened, I was rewatching Vikings, and I felt the need to find and listen to this. 😂😂🤘🤘

It’s been 23 years since this masterpiece came out and the original Halo servers for Xbox are being shut down. I remember playing this game when I was five years-old. I was forbidden by my Mom because of its violence but I’d always find a way to sneak in some gaming. This series was a huge part of my childhood and I’m forever grateful for all the Spartans I’ve met along the way. It has been an honor serving with you all. We’ve made lots of memories together throughout the years and I’ll never forget killing off those alien bastards. The 2000’s were the best days to be a kid and I’d give anything to go back.

It is, ive recently got really into halo, I last properly played it like 8 years ago and I finished Halo CE(The first halo) today and I've started Halo 2. Everything makes sense, like how the hud is just built into the armour and so many things that is explained by the armour, the people who made it thought about everything and the point of Master chief is that he is the luckiest spartan, not the strongest or fastest, but the Luckiest which essentially explains why he's the main character and explains the plot armour that all main characters have.

You won't regret it. Halo and Gears of War are some of the best shooters I've played as someone who grew up with Xbox. Battlefield however will remain my all time favorite shooter
