Yeah I was thinking MC1st was made for cutscenes and that was why it has such a limited hitbox

actually like the alpha chief. Having him the earth missions would've been nice then you get a more repaired one from the ark onward.

Shame we never got the red Brute Captain. That armor looked so cool. All we got was several shades of blue and cyan with one green Brute Captain.

Yeah same, at least canonically Tartarus was wearing that armor. Even a purple Captain who tortured Ackerson

If I’m not mistaken, I think one of those master chief prototypes was the one used in the original Xbox 360, halo three, blade theme. Because it has slight differences to the release model.

Anyone notice the the retail released chieftains have dark grey hands/paws and feets but the head is tan? I wonder if their original heads were these Delta models.

Do any of the chief models have his face like in the beta?

Some comparisons to the Halo 2 and Halo 3 versions would be nice

Seeing these prototypes are nice. What I don't understand other than gameplay is why the brute armor breaks off when they take enough damage

my guess is before the elites had energy shields, they had power armor like the brutes do. Since the elites co-founded the covenant, they get the best in terms of equipment. I dont think brutes even had the privilege to use shields before the Great Schism. Energy shields were never made for brutes, so they had to start back at square one.

Probably only to balance the berserk mode when they get their shields drained. Although that ended up being pretty easy to deal with. Would have been a bit more intimidating if their shields could recharge while going berserk lol

If I'm not mistaken, the Delta build Elites and Brutes were the ones used for renders in the Halo 3 strategy guide. Also, Masterchief First seems to be rhe model from the Halo 3 announcement trailer, which is why he doesn't react properly; he's made for a cutscene, not gameplay.

I always thought chief got the bumps on his armor from the slide at the end of the halo 2 trailer with the ghost as a kid

I need better attention to detail because a lot of these it's hard for me to see the difference. But the Master Chief and Fist of Rukt I can see the changes and it's cool :)

First Master Chief was the E306 model and my personal favorite. Much better than the plastic chief we ended up with

Thats cool and all but I wish you would back to the old style videos. There is still a lot of stuff in games that you need to do. Everything now is all PC mods. Half the audience will probably never play PC mods.
