Ойындар
On the mission Crows Nest in Halo 3, there are A LOT of locked doors all around the map that you normally can't open. Turns out there's a lot of secret unused rooms behind these doors. Let's take a look at all of them!

Wouldn’t mind a “behind the doors” series to be honest. It’d be cool to see what’s on the ark, Sierra 117, etc.

Yes! New series ideas like that would also help to keep this channel from stagnating as Halo ages and we all learn more and more until there's nothing new left to learn. Arguably, and heart breakingly, that's kinda where we're at now. So new ideas would be really fun. Even like ghost cam around the general area, in adjacent rooms and other sides of outdoors levels during cutscenes would be fun to see too imo

Halo 1 has a lot of missions with locked doors, 343 guilty spark would be a great one.
5:20 man idk why but I am absolutely obsessed with this room. I'd love to see it as maybe a multi-player map mod. I really enjoy these Generalkidd please keep it up

One of the Halo 3 campaign overhaul mods has this area opened up and filled with enemies. Unfortunately I can't remember which particular mod but I do remember fighting in this area.

Looks like a good place to practice grifball. I'll just leave the idea here for anyone to pick it up

That's called the rec room. There's a tutorial somewhere on how to get into it without mods somewhere

@@jx995 If you want I can join you. Im super familiar with Halo glitches
Feels like this map could be modded to be played similarly to new Alexandria with its side missions: a set of randomly chosen objectives to complete, and doors opening in a specific way (or almost randomly to make the path easier or harder to pass) Btw the doors at 2:11 are (also) used to spawn the marines that will ride the pelican after you clear up the place
You should do a video like this on the missions 343 guilty spark and Two Betrayals, both those missions have small handful of locked doors, Assault on the control room would be the same- if u can excess the pulse generators
“The Prophet of Truth’s call, it’s coming from inside the facility!”
Never run out of ideas for Halo content
Now I want to see a glitch speedrun where someone gets through those connected shortcut doors.
@ChouRaiyuki
Жыл бұрын
It's almost certainly not used for speedruns due to triggers being a factor in runs (many if not most levels require you to hit certain triggers to the hit more triggers to eventually hit an end level trigger or whatever event to finish the level). Clipping through doors via DC launching is a thing in runs on MCC due to its higher tickrate. Of the two such clips used in the run one goes through a door you would normally go through anyway (where the drones come out) and the other is later done in the same room and doesn't involve a door (people just punt themselves through one of the rocky ledges to just before the hanger). Might be something to it for coop tho; who knows
I think theres also locked doors at the end of Sierra 117, beginning of Tsavo Highway, plethora in the Storm and Floodgate, a few on the Ark, and some on Cortana and Halo.
I assumed we take the long way around to the hanger because we needed to clear the base out
LMAO I was waiting for you to cover this😂

He gets to the one piece of cut Contant I want to hear about, and he’s like, probably shouldn’t mention the name of it in this video -_-
The Red vs Blue door was originally going to lead to an armoury. Also there would have been a second hangar where the player would have to shoot down banshees
Good work man, iv always watched your videos since the beginning, and man, iv learned so much from you
Great video! There's just so many doors. But that door that just cuts straight to the hanger really aggravates me. Why couldn't they just unlock the door and let us go through it to get to the hanger a lot faster?
hi generalkidd you should investigate on why the brute chieftain's biped in halo 3 and ODST deflects grenades and needler rounds. why is that?

They still catch on fire when you toss the fire grenade on them... which I just figured out last night after so many years.
Keep up the good work, I’ll be expecting many more videos 😊
Awesome video Your channel is awesome!
What happen if you press the switch of the final elevator at the begining of the level?
Dude I loved the video but if you do a similar thing for other campaign maps plz slow down as you’re showing us stuff felt like I was getting dizzy trying to look at everything. Other than that I love your vids
thanks dude!
I don't see a lot of 360 gen games lately, despite having a series x and hundreds of games from all Xbox generations, and even N64 games on Xbox, and honestly, graphics haven't really evolved all that much since Halo 3, especially world visuals, and this game has aged a lot better than Halo 2 or SNES era games which is sad and pleasantly surprising.
The recreational area in the barracks is used, as scenery. You can actually see into that area through the windows going between it and the rest of the barracks.
More videos like this pleaseee
Very interesting thanks!
Thank you so much.
At 2:22, does the background look the same as on the map Standoff?

Is the background form this mission, when you get to the hangar with the pelican you can go and see it in full glory

What a coincidence, I just played crows nest the other day!
Hey if anyone cares about reach or preserving reach campaign the way it should be could some of you guys create bug reports for reach long night of solace mission, the start facility part is missing anti-air and seraphs firing at the base, along with respawning dropship drops it seems anything infinite respawning is completely broken from the latest update.
@2:23 never knew that there is landscape in this map.

That's the landscape you can see from the hangar where the Pelican takes off
8:12 Gräfenberg spot, named after German gynecologist Ernst Gräfenberg.
I dunno if it would be a good idea, but I'm wondering what it would looks like to have multiplayer games in Crows Nest map...
Nice revelation.
Hey wait wait wait one second. Please read this general kid, regarding the RVB Easter egg door, doesn't the player character have to be there to spawn any NPCs? There won't be anything there using ghost cam but if you have the PC there and during a run through the level as intended, won't that trigger the whole event and possibly also any hidden characters behind the door? Cause there wouldn't be anything there at all when the player is half a mile away in the spawn room, right? Wouldn't it be worth redoing the whole video but drag chief around with you just to see any possible differences?
Imagine if they had took the time and not worry about hardware limitations with that map (and other campaigns).
Yay
Cool big room likley on the cutting board
Given how the map is connected like this, are we expected to believe that this is how Crow's Nest is actually laid out for real or just that the map designers made the map feel bigger than it is? Without this demonstration, we'd never know that some doors lead to other familiar parts of the map and would otherwise assume it's an unused section unrelated to anything else and unimportant to our mission.
My theory is almost all those empty rooms were trigger rooms and or dialogue rooms.
Someone should port the whole base to multiplayer open doors n all for one bomb modes
What's that cutscene flag you couldn't mention? I'm curious
That’s funny how I was wondering what was up on that hanger bay in the first part
Idk if you've already done a video like this, but can you do a vid on the differences between Halo 3 original release before any patch updates? Because i remember back when Halo 3 came out, people were talking about how an update slightly changed the way melee works. If two enemies meleed each other, the one who meleed first by a millisecond would get the kill instead of them both dying, or something along those lines.
@Mote.

I remember not knowing what they were talking about because i couldn't tell the difference personally

Or maybe it had to do with health and not timing. I'm not certain
Of course some doors lead to other parts of the mission. Old Bungie knew what they wrought.
Doors!!
Ooh
We need crows nest secret creepypasta doors

You should script your videos, my friend. It would markedly increase the quality of your narration.
So it is safe to say that the New Mombasa incident was... an inside job ? (•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)
