Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) Filming Locations Then and Now - Horror's Hallowed Grounds
Ойын-сауық
Horror's Hallowed Grounds: Episode 5 - Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982). To hear the back story on how episode 5 came about I'd suggest reading the description I posted with episode 4 since we shot these two episodes concurrently. Also I'd hope you had watched episode 4 before episode 5. Even though they came out on different releases we had running gags that wouldn't make much sense unless you had watched them in order. It's great to see others actually love this movie. It's nostalgic.
Love the creepy atmosphere of Halloween 3. Oh and of course Tom Atkins is the man.

I think its funny how tom adkins was in a "Halloween" movie and also slept with jamie lee curtis in another role in another movie 😂
This was my first Halloween movie I ever owned. My parents bought it for me for my 14th birthday ❤️
Such a classic. The vibes from this film just hit differently. Must have been amazing seeing these places.
The music is great in H3.
This is becoming my favorite horror movie period. I have seen them all being an 80's baby and for me this movie does it on all cylinders.

I'm not much of a Michael Meyer's guy but Halloween 3 I absolutely love this Film it's in my all time Top 10 Horror movie it's probably around 7th for me 👍 👍
This movie has aged very very well.
I’m down to see the deleted scenes where Sean fights against some meth-heads, Tommy Lee as the referee, etc

Sean: “Hey I got these really cool Halloween masks you should try on.” Tommy turns on television in one of the nearby hotel rooms. The next thing we see is a couple of meth heads with bugs and snakes all around them lying in the ground. Sean: “You know Tommy if we could figure out a way to hand these out to every meth head we’d be modern day hero’s.” Tommy: “I don’t think I have enough latex and molds for all of them though.”

Thanks Sean for highlighting my comment. Have a safe trip back from your shoot for Shaun Of The Dead. Happy Halloween bro! 🎃
RIP Debra Hill 🙏🏻
I knew this film was genius in 1982. Atmosphere, suspense, and Tommy Wallace at the helm. Thanks.
I'm so happy that you make these videos free
I met Sean and Tommy in New Jersey in March 2011. Awesome guys. -I love how Sean goes to the source already armed with intelligent questions that come from the heart. Keep doing what you are doing sir. Matt Grant
I actually really like this movie, it just should have been called Season of the Witch... Calling it Halloween without Michael Myers was a mistake..

Agree! It would be much better regarded these days if it would have been a stand alone movie and not a sequel.

In some ways, yes but the movie does feature the holiday season extensively even discussing samhain and showing masks being made

The season of the witch is a favorite one for me and i love the theme sound it gives me a scary creepy vibe ♡♡ This is what i miss from movies from the 80's and 90's they had a very different vibe!
You're the man, Sean! I actually saw you a few years back at a Walker Stalker con in Atlanta just walking amongst the crowd. I love Halloween 3, one of my favorite horror movies! So glad to see that within the last few years, it's gotten the respect that it deserves. This was cool to watch and the bonus, of course, was the cameo appearance of Tommy Lee Wallace!! Take care and be safe during these crazy times, man! ✌️
Thank you for posting all of these eps Sean. Love em and look forward to seeing the upcoming ones.
OK this is my new favorite KZread channel. Can't believe I am just discovering it. Terrific stuff guys!
I had hoped from the moment I found this channel that I’d find Halloween 3 and here it is!! Great channel, fantastic job Sean! A lot of us really appreciate your passion, please keep it going!
Very interesting to see the filming locations, I think this is the second best Halloween, after the original. It has great atmosphere and music.
This is an unbelievable video. Don't know how you don't have tons of subs and views. Amazing that you have TLW in it. One of my favorite movies of all time. Now getting the love that it deserved all along. One of best movie scores (along with H2018 and Prince of Darkness).
I'm so thankful for the work you do! It means so much to me to see these videos. These movies are my childhood memories and I am still a big kid. This is awesome. Thank you so much !
Love the channel! Thank goodness for this being on my HIII blu ray! Glad I can see the other episodes!
I never understood why so many people don’t like this movie. I watched this as a kid and have loved it ever since. I watch it a couple times a year. I was lucky enough to visit the town in Loleta where it was filmed. It’s exactly like the movie. Very isolated and everyone knows you’re there. It’s almost creepy but a great visit.

Love it too. Many expected the extension of the Myers story so it upset them. But if you look at it as a standalone movie it is amazing.

Awesome job on this which I first saw on the DVD extras. I must check out all of your vids and I love the Silver Shamrock shirt!! Sean Clark you're the man!!
I have to go visit these places one day soon. I love this movie. Great video Sean and Tommy.
Thanks for this Sean! And bringing Tommy Lee Wallace along! H3 is a awesome dope ass movie! It doesn’t get a lot of credit it deserves and it’s one of my favorite Halloween films! I wish they would bring Atkins back for another sequel! Sean you rock! I’m a big horror fan geek and hopefully you do Scream!

Loved seeing Atkins in the My Bloody Valentine remake from a few years back. Hands down one of the coolest people I've ever met at a horror con to this day.
Love all of your content Sean. I’ve always thought you were both funny and informative, as is Mr. Wallace. Please keep putting these out, would love some for H20, Resurrection, RZH1 and 2 as well as 2018’s film.
Hey Sean! It was a pleasure meeting you at the Houston Horror Film Fest last week! Thanks for doing these videos and be careful!
Incredible, archaelogical job for cinephiles from all over the planet, Sean!! Loved the gues appearances by Rob Rusler and you revisiting ´Santa Mira´ with the very underrared Tommy Lee Wallace.
Tommy Lee Wallace is just Awesome He has made some of the Best films ever Halloween III: Season of the Witch has got to be my favorite film in the series Thank you for this video and Mr Wallace for your tour.
Best episode. I made the trip from Ireland last year for the rocky, exorcist and jaws locations....I'm hoping to do the east coast one day...Halloween,elm street, the fog....expect a facebook stalk message sean
Awesome video! This has always been one of my favorites of the Franchise. Has such a cool feel. Great work. Take care.
That was epic. Awesome job Sean!! Love Halloween 🎃🎃🎃
Great work again. And love the returning bitter Elm Street 2 guy. 📼📺☎️
This is one of my favorite Halloween movies. It has grown on me over the years. This episode is also great. I’m interested in visiting these locations. Hopefully some day soon.
I can't believe I now found out about your videos and I love your videos buddy keep up the great work my friend
"there's only three channels" love you to bits Shaun 😂
Love these! I'm seeing 2 private videos in the HHH playlist thought. Video 10 and 11
I always liked how they went in a different direction on Halloween III. Interesting if Friday the 13th had done the same thing with their second installment.

@LiveOkie Not really. Halloween 3 has a pretty good fanbase now who gave the movie a chance since its original release. It's classic John Carpenter all the way. I'm seriously hoping that once Halloween Ends finishes off the Myers story the whole anthology angle can be explored again for future films.
You really deserve more subscribers and views.

Haha amazing sean! love it and so want to visit
I just rewatched the movie, probably since 2008 I'd forgotten some parts like the robots but I always remembered Stonehenge because I live in the area.

The funny thing is , for those who moaned Michael Myers wasn’t in it , he kind of was - one of the killer robots was Dick Warlock , who played Michael in ‘Ween 2
Halloween Season Of The Witch is in my top 20 Favorite movies list. Cool video Kiddo. Nice seeing the "MAN" Tommy Lee Wallace got involved in your production. How does a freak like you get to hook up with the coolest of the cool? HOW?
Robert Rustler is F'ING hysterical!! Dude shows up in every episode trying to peddle Nightmare 2. Haha JUST DO IT, Sean!!! Granted....If you did the first one, it's the same house.
brilliant & with Tommy too.. love from the UK
Awesome job! One of my fav flicks🎃🎃🎃
great video, sean. 🙂👍
This was awesome
The Buccaneer moved to it’s present location in 1984. H3 was filmed at what is now a wine shop/liquor store a couple doors down in 1982. Here’s how I found out… Saw the Halloween pinball machine on your channel here and wanted to see where I can play one as you know they’re all sold out. A Korean barbecue joint in Van Nuys has one of two Halloween public pinball machines in So Cal. So weekend party trip planned. Head up from Diego with the wife, and we’ll pick up our daughter along the way. Daughter says she wants to see the Myers’ house and other locales, as she’s recently back into the franchise after seeing Halloween Kills. Hell yeah I’m in, so I dig up info I had from visiting the Halloween movie locations from 2004 and we cruise up just this past weekend. Have a blast seeing a bunch of locations from Halloween, two, and three and the Fog church. Was cool to go back through the alley of part 2, where I had stumbled upon that X on the telephone pole in 2004, knowing I had found the right spot like a treasure map where X marks the spot. The cemetery down the road from the Buccaneer looked same as always of course, with the Sinclair headstone prominent as ever. We moseyed on into The Buccaneer for a round and I found myself not convinced the place was the same as in the movie. Yeah, the paintings match up, but looking closer at the huge one behind the bar, I realized it was hung up and not painted on the wall. Anyway, I was able to talk with the owner who was selling merch out front, and she told me all about it. The history, filming, the artwork, etc. The business has been in her family forever. Drinks are still cheap and strong with good vibes. Highly recommend!
🍀 Definitely a underrated film in the franchise. Great job man! This makes me wanna take a road trip and check out what's left up there. Minus the tweakers at the hotel. 🤜💥
Awesome stuff again man!...I’m a fan of this film regardless of what some critics say. I will visit these locations one day.
I noticed with Bar that with the pictures reversed, there was that tacky 70’s & 80’s wooden paneling! The dude who was in Weird Science looks nothing like he did in Nightmare on Elm Street 2,he must be in his 60’s.I enjoyed like sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many with the tour of locations with the director of Halloween 3! It was pretty exciting. Thanks!
That's cool that even Tommy Lee realized some new things
Just watched latest TWTH w/ Tommy Lee Wallace. Great watch or listen, Sean. Must watch after this episode. 🤘
Nice comparisons and editing 🤘
I love season of the witch ...it took till i was older to appreciate it
So great you found the mask shop on the spot as you were filming. Those posts definitely seem to be definitive proof.
Great movie! Great Soundtrack!!
not all heros wear capes. Thank you for these videos
another great episode - that crack head was something else.
Sweet video
Rob Rusler is the man dude,he is in 3 of my favorite flicks.Sometimes they come back..Just transferred in from Milford..Gangsta
I visited the bar which moved a few doors down... Super cool experience
Lolita, CA is known for Halloween by the locals, Its is also next to Ferndale CA that was in movies like Salem's Lot, and Outbreak. If you drive a few miles into the hills from Ferndale you can reach a redwood Grove where Return of the Jedi Speeder bike chase, was filmed. If you are ever up here, check in with the Humboldt Film Commission, and they will give you a list of all the movies filmed out here.
Halloween 3 has the BEST horror movie score imho.
Great film!
MAN... how cool is this
This is awesome👍😎
Wow...this is the second video of yours i actually got see inside an iconic building from a movie. The gas station in texas chainsaw massacre and now this one..yeah i like to see inside of buildings that were in movies a long time ago and see what they look like now
This is incredible! Thanks for the video! #teamsilvershamrock
I watch every Halloween 🎃 love the music and story . It’s a classic. Of course as a kid we all wanted to see Michael myers back but this film and soundtrack has embedded in me after all these years. ☘️
That Sean dude strikes me as anything but a Poser. Seems like him & his crew lives this shit. Goes out of his way to give detailed walkthroughs of locations that I never thought I'd see.

@@RandyReviews1990 Like I kinda get it I mean there are some really annoying KZreadrs out there in the public all the time with their carny like loud over the top personalities recording themselves as onlookers are watching but Sean is mild mannered & quiet when presenting locations and super respectful as respectful as you can get. But the guy had zero right to flaunt his bullshit at Sean. Dude was totally out of line. Some folk feel the need to straight up judge off of one look. I've passed that spot on Sierra hwy so many times, had no clue. Love that movie, always thought I was in the minority with that.
You're a legend 🙌
Hell yeah. Tommy Lee is the MAN!
Hadn't watched this one. Sweet. 🎃🍀
Nice video. Must be amazing to get to do things like this for a living
Thank you for showing me this. As a teen, I loved Halloween III so much, I needed to see it every week with a little jack'o'lantern on the tv. This movie deserves the title Halloween because of the great atmosphere and the roots it has with the holiday. Thank you from a Belgian fan. And thank you Tommy for making this movie.
My favorite Halloween movie.
Rewatching this while watching the movie….Right at this exact part is where the video and movie met lol… A🙌ES🎃ME
I cant tell yall how bummed out I am the factory is getting torn down as we speak... I never got a chance to see it in person to at least grab a brick. It hurts my heart to know that part of movie history is about to be gone... Halloween III is one of my all time favorite movies.
“You little bastards better takes those masks off”…….😂 classic
Great Movie ! I love the Director joining you for the tour and the drugged out trailer trash for additional commentary ! 🤾♂️
I remember watching this video on the Halloween 3 blu ray whenever I had the 10 Halloween blu ray movie set
R man so good thanks
This video you did is a classic. I love it personally. I haven't been a movie muncher since about 2017. I'm tired of it, but that's why these videos are great dude: they're fresh. You can only see certain movies 100 times before you get sick of looking for things you haven't seen before. It's tired. We're tired. I'm old, and the new movies today frankly, suck.
I love your videos. I could so have a beer with you some day as your into the stuff I like.
So Halloween and The Fog share a universe, got it.
Very under rated halloween film and the criticism was unjustified...This was a brilliant halloween film in it's own right and the atmospheric quality of the film was top notch...good job by tommy lee wallace.
Classic movie 😉👍
Better movie than any of the Myers sequels. Too bad the anthology idea didnt stick..we'd have a slew of original Halloween stories rather than a bunch of hacky slashers with crap plots and mostly weak masks (except h6 was badass mask). Thanks for making these videos, Sean
I wish they would do a remake of this movie. The idea of making a Halloween anthology series was a great idea and somebody should pick the ball up again and run with it. I just watched Halloween three season of the witch for the first time in 2016 and I love it. I’m not sure exactly how old Tom Adkins is now in 2021, but I’m sure these great writers and filmmakers could figure something out that all of us horror fans would enjoy.
