I disagree. I initially liked the fact that all of Laurie's over bearing and training had lasting impact on Karen and made her shut down in the final show down. Like a message to Laurie that what she did to her kid was actually wrong and didn't even work.

@@Tw0Dots YES! Finally someone else says it! I think Michael gets most of his strength and durability literally from being crazy/mentally ill. There are actual real cases of this too, there was this mentally ill women who needed atleast three male caretakers to hold her down every time she needed to take her medicine. The thing is she was basically like 110 pounds yet somehow she kept overpowering her caretakers. Now imagine what a 6'2 210+ pounds Michael Myers can do.

I always saw it as Karen disassociating the memories with as little emotion as possible because of how painful both the trauma and her childhood were for her. It’s common with PTSD and bipolar depression, and I’ve done it multiple times going from emotional to completely flat and almost like I’m talking from a script

My takeaway: the smartest person in this movie was Julian (who cleared TF out and never came back) and the dumbest were the thirsty podcasters (especially Aaron).

there's definitely quite a few awesome shots in this movie. one of my favs is the shot of the camera panning up at Michael when he's in Laurie's house in the dark with the hand missing some fingers and the music that kicks in. gives me chills everytime

Personally for me I love the shot of Michael standing over his doctor bathed in the red light from the car moments before he stomps on his head. The movie has plenty of idiotic moments and bad dialogue here and there but the style and atmosphere was on point

This just shows Micheal and Laurie are crazy in their own ways

I love this horror movie so much. I can watch for hours and never get bored.

Your joke about jaimes character being deaf after shooting a double barrel off by her head rings true. One pretty famous example, the scene in die hard where Bruce shoots the robber through the table they actually used blanks. It also gave willis permanent deafness in one ear, there's a decent amount of roles he did after where you can see him try to tilt his head to hear

I will be patiently waiting for the "Halloween Kills" Kill count cause that movie is definitely worth covering whenever it is available to cover
