Not only odd, but also very suspicious, he practically said that he and his group were forced to open their eyes, so without a doubt he saw the monsters. This flaw in the script was so unrealistic.

I was so pissed off that Douglas died. He was the smartest character in the movie, but the good samaritans had to go and let in someone whose entire backstory reeked of bullshit, while also dwindling their already short supplies. It's the fucking apocalypse, but apparently they still wanted to feel like good people.

I'm just providing simple answers that could have happened just as easily in a dumb movie. You're incredibly aggressive for no reason. I don't think it was smart to let anyone in, especially not the rat man but there is still a risk with her too. What if she had a weapon? And she may be weak from pregnancy but so is the main character who she is bigger than like I previously stated. And an old woman who probably has little strength as is vs a random lonely pregnant woman who could also have been psychotic doesn't bode well. You said yourself she is weaker so how the hell did she survive so long unarmed and not blindfolded in the Armageddon type shit outside, without being a crazy demon whisperer person.

1:00 The reason it got so popular is: 1. Covid locking people indoors and leaving us to scour steaming services for anything remotely watchable. 2. The self inflicted deaths along with the plot were eerie and interesting enough to keep people tuned in until the end (along with the memes making us see what the hype was about) 3. The lack of jump scares made this a very entry-level movie into the horror genre that most people would be able to watch without being too creeped out to continue.

Huh? This movie was incredibly popular in the winter of 2018/2019 when it was released. That was more than a full year before Covid lockdowns began. I would say you're both either over analyzing or incorrectly analyzing on that point. Something like Tiger King definitely reached its peak of public popularity during lockdowns however.

I love this movie, the concept was good with the suicidal thingys, but the crazy people that want to show you the things are amazing, overall this movie was great in many ways and I believe the sene were Gary kills everyone in the house was godly and also Lydia just climbing in to the burning car

I know Malorie was trying not to get attached to the kids so the monsters can’t use them as a weapon against herself but she could have at least given them names. If your parents distance themselves from you (either purposely or accidentally) and then just decide to try bond with you, it is really awkward. It takes years to build up a decent level of trust with a parent who isn’t around a lot. But maybe it might be different because the kids are rather young when she starts to actually try to be a decent parent.

I tried to watch this movie with my parents when I was 14, and the scene where they're driving to the grocery store with the blocked out windows disturbed me so much I made them turn it off. The sound design and the bump of the car felt so visceral and real to me that I started getting really upset; no joke, I actually started crying. I don't know what it was about that moment but it still sticks with me to this day. My parents 100% thought I was being a huge baby though ;-;

I never thought I would like this movie but it a awesome original idea that no one ever thought of doing. Which make it unique to watch. A lot like A Quiet Place. Its also a idea that I never thought of but is just as unique as Bird Box.

Seeing people in Bird Box: *Screams,Pushes people,Sees people die, Sees creature, Commits suicide* Blind people in Bird Box: *Sips Starbucks, Listens to TV, Lives life, Take a walk, Gets bored, Goes shopping, sleep, repeat.*
