The HOF2 by TC Electronic is already a feature heavy reverb, but plug it into the Tone Print Editor and things get bananas.

    Nice video. This will probably be my first pedal simply because of the software that you can manipulate the pedal for any sound you want. You can get the "surf" drip on the spring setting with a lot of decay which takes out the dry signal. I've heard this pedal do Ventures with heavy drip.

    I have yet to put in the time for the editor, one could just spend all of it on the editor if you have more than one toneprint pedal, my only wish is that the editor was accessible through mobile. Great demo of using the software, thanks!

    I got a " shaker" to fill an empy spot, and i needed a vibrato for my studio pedalboard. Within 6 hours of messing with tone print i ordered a flashback 2 and a hof2. Got the shaker to do vibrato, chorus and a decent univibe. Im working on the flashback to make a " rewind" that only engages with the mash button, and the same idea but on the hof2 im going to make an ehx " freeze" type effect.

    I'm guessing that combining the 3rd default toneprint with the shimmer won't be a problem when set via the editor? Meaning that the mash would control both the tone of shimmer as well as the overall output volume?

    Hello, if you can help me understand TC pedals, I would really appreciate it. So from my understanding TonePrints are not presets, but adjusted parameters set by the artist. Does that override the knobs or could they still be adjusted? When loading a TonePrint how do the knob settings affect the TonePrint( for example, if I had every knob maxed out...could I only adjust the knobs backwards?) Do we still have to adjust the knobs to find the sweet spot or do we get the artist's intended sound at 12 o clock?

    FINALLY! A tone print video that is useful! Good stuff man! but I’m a tad lost within the sorta not so user friendly TonePrint editor... in your video you mention the mash controls. I use the flashback delay pedal by TC but the editor is the same. My problem is I cannot figure out how to set a certain delay (for you reverb) but yet set the mash to be a different mash sound. I can’t figure out which drop-down menu full of selections is the one that affects what the mash does. Like let’s say you wanted to use spring reverb but with room mash effect...pleaseeeee help me!!

    Is it possible to put a high-pass filter on the wet signal? I'm using it on my bass, and the reverberating bass muddies the sound. I tried the Polara, and it doesn't muddy the bass but I don't think the signal processing is high enough quality because I can hear high-pitched ringing sounds when I play my B-string. I think I'm going to try the Boss next. Edit: I just assigned "LoColor" to the tone knob, so I'll see if that will do the trick, but that means only my preset will have that. The rest of the settings will still have reverberating bass. They should have added a setting that affects all the reverb types like how Source Audio has a slider for a high-pass frequency on the wet signal.

    That's a much better user interface than the current version. They got a lot more controls on the screen at once, in the version shown here. The list of templates was better like that too. When I try to scroll the list in the current version, I keep missing some out, and have to go back. There's only a few shown at once, which makes it really fiddly to look through them all.

    I do wish folks that do these reviews had the opportunity to study these programs in greater detail before they post these videos. I understand that it's very elaborate, but a little more experience with the device on your end might help us all make more educated decisions about the usefulness of the product. No disrespect intended. It's still a pretty good video and a great pedal.

    @Jesse-sz6fp

    I feel you bro. The plate setting on the supernatural is the best I've ever heard. And to answer your question, I'd say no. Reverb algorithms are complex, unique, and proprietary to each company. The chances that the plate on this pedal will sound like the supernatural is small, even with toneprint capabilities.

    +Mr.Mundee Are you working with a TC bass amp? I don't think a TC bass amp will read ALL Toneprints, just ones designated for the amp. This HOF2 pedal will have both software and hardware specific to just itself. Namely, the amp won't likely have the hardware to permit the shimmer effect. I may be wrong, but that's my understanding currently.

    This is an awful pedal that doesn't deserve to have the TC Electronic name on it (well the new TC Electronic maybe which is sad). I build pedals, guitars, and do mod and repairs on amps. Im not saying i know everything but i do know one thing for sure. This is not a good pedal at all. Go look at how many people are selling theirs and how many forums have swaths of post about how bad this pedal is. You can screw around with the editor all you want but the reverb is still going to sound fake and completely cold. It doesn't blend naturally at all. This i promise you. If you get this pedal you will think its neat for a couple months at the most then you slowly start to realize how terrible it is. The first sign will be the fact you never use it. The next sign will be the fact that you've had it long enough that if it could be made to sound good it would sound good by now lol. Just dont waste your time. TC doesn't deserve your money if they are happy putting out garbage like this. And i didn't even mention the quality control issues people have with the switches and units going dead early on etc. TC isnt half what it used to be. Id happily buy their old stuff but their new stuff is disposable planned obsolescence garbage. This pedal was designed to hold your attention long enough until they release the next one with new features that makes the old one undesirable not designed to last a lifetime and be a staple of your sound. If you're a beginner who wants something only a beginner would buy then look no further, if not then you only have yourself to blame if you buy this pedal after reading this book I've just written lol.

    @@nomandad2000 Sound good enough that im inspired to use it. I only need ONE good setting not 10 DSP/Algorithms that sound lifeless and dont react to dynamics realistically. Im building my own reverb pedal as we speak. Ive already started it and ill probably finish it this weekend, im just waiting on a few more components and the enclosure. Its based off the DeadAstronaut Chasm but i made a few modifications and added a few things. Its still technically a digital reverb since it uses a BTDR 2H belton brick but since belton bricks are primarily just 3 PT2399 delay chips i find there tone to be much more musical and organic. The Hall Of Fame one and two is just a lifeless DSP reverb that is a cash grab for a company no longer in its glory days sadly. If i were an outlier that would be one thing but many many many people share that sentiment.
