Halibut fishing SF Bay caught three

Спорт

My second time Fishing in search of Halibut in San Francisco Bay this year and we arent even at the end of March 2020 yet. Expectations are hopefully catch one, I was not expecting to catch three big halibut! I was drifting with live smelt in the Berkeley flats area near Angel Island and Treasure Island. I bought the smelt from Keith Frazier of Loch Lomond Bait Shop In San Rafael. The Halibut have arrived to the bay! How to fish for halibut in San Francisco Bay? Check out this video.

nicely done - you were careful on the reeling and the landing -- I like how you are super conservative on the estimates, being careful of the tail. Good clean commentary too. The bay was flat as a lake when you were out there!

Hi Keith, I appreciate your kind comment. Yeah it was so much fun. Being on any water with no wind is always a great time. When your catching halibut and the GG bridge is behind you doesnt get better. Thanks for checking out the video and making a comment!

Nothing better than fresh halibut. Hit enter twice on your fish finder when you hook fish. It will show as way points. I do it all the time in lakes and on the Columbia river. So youll have the slug trail and where you hooked fish.
