@@zapdosmtr4961 Why do you play with the fps locked tho? With the fps unlocked you'll have much less input lag and a much smoother experience, there's no point in playing with the fps locked at 60 in 2024 even if you have a 60hz monitor.

I'm sorry if this comment comes across as rude, but like the others have mentioned, this video is truly superfluous. When us, the viewers, saw the video title of "half life 2 with rtx 4060" we were expecting to see of how many FPS it can **maximally reach**. Uncapped. For reference, any GPUs that were made in the recent years, even if it's a very budget one, it would still be able to reach 60FPS. That's because this game came out 2 decades ago. That means your video is no different from, say, half-life 2 benchmark using the GT710, because it is capped at 60fps, the RTX 4060 is able to crunch waaaaay more numbers than that. Sure, your monitor might be limited to 60Hz, but you can uncap it and get more frames, which will result in less input lag (the higher the FPS is, regardless of the monitor's refresh rate, the less the input lag is).

I played Half Life 2 with a 1440p CRT monitor recently, i never used anti-aliasing.

@@zapdosmtr4961 It will though because the frame that the monitor receives will be more up to date. Higher fps will make it feel smoother, despite you only having a 60hz refresh rate. Higher fps ALSO means that your inputs won't lag as much. This is very basic information.
