@@odemata87 people will judge no matter what, unfortunately. You'll always have people that need to poke at someone else in order to not feel as insecure in themselves. However, I've read some pretty awesome things about Japan. Like apparently there's koi living in their drainage systems,??? And the air is noticably cleaner there. And the homeless population is in the double digits. I think it'd probably be a decent place to live. I'd love to visit Japan sometime

It’s also a fake voice she puts on.. it’s this weird infatuation in Japan with girls wanting to look like children sound like minors and act like children because that’s what a lot of Japanese men are attracted too from what I understand.

@@tothewildworld If what you thought was relevant in any way that would be nice. However, in reality, the educated are aware of things like the NWMP (RCMP), the 60s scoop, treaties, drinking water crisis, lack of opportunity etc. I was taken as a baby, during the 60s scoop, directly after birth from my mother. I wasn't told anything about it until 16 years later when my obscenely abusive government appointed adoptive family decided that I was "ready" for it. What I have had to endure is terrible. I wasn't brought to a doctor when I was sick, I wasn't provided the basic kindness and consideration the rest of my adoptive family provided each other. Still, what I endured is kind of a joke compared to most of my people. FYI the 60s scoop lasted decades. Thanks for saying how great we have it, though!

@@tothewildworld Indigenous peoples were never treated with respect here. I've lived in the Canadian Prairies my whole life and it's really bad here. I'm not even Indigenous and people have given me a rough time because they initially thought I was Indigenous (I'm part Chinese and French). I've had people literally tell me "sorry for being like that, I thought you were native". Like that excuses them for treating someone poorly. A mask is definitely put on to try and make it seem like this country is attempting to reconcile with Indigenous communities while at the same time, citizens and even immigrants are told to fear and avoid Indigenous people.

What's interesting to me is that she considers herself Japanese, which is perfectly fine and in her right but considering the history between the Okinawans and Japanese... Okinawa was an independent country, but were invaded in the 1600s and have been treated poorly by the Japanese even up to this day. They became a part of Japan in 1975 after that long period. They have a lot of struggles akin to native peoples in other places. I also wonder if she speaks the Okinawan language as well as Japanese and English

NOT America. And the comment about 'typical Asian traits' ...??! What is that supposed to mean? I take offense to that. I wonder why or where you would get that idea? It's just more proof how Americans know so little about other cultures around the world. Worse, most Americans have a twisted belief that the only way is the American way. This country is an infant compared to most other countries. Americans know almost nothing about the world and hide behind their blind arrogance. It's sad and makes me a bit annoyed how Americans are so clueless and couldn't be bothered to actually learn about other beautiful cultures around the world. Maybe more Americans should open their eyes and hearts and see the beauty of what the world offers.

Racism rules America it’s been like this since day one. I mean Europeans, white people….enslaved, raped, and stole the land of the native people so yes it’s been racism since day one of this countries existence. They also committed mass genocide and forced natives out of their homes. Then enslaved Africans and stole them from their homes….how could people be so heinous.

Racism Edit: if the bullying was about her physical appearance, I guarantee it was because the people bullying her thought she looks weird. And what they as children think is weird is what’s different, she doesn’t look completely black so black kids could bully her. She doesn’t look stereotypically Asian and her skin would be considered dark in Japan so they would bully her. White kids could bully her for both of those things. If you can’t understand this, go fight someone else. I didn’t make this comment for an argument. If you don’t like my comment, scroll on and leave me alone because you’re not changing my mind. @@Callen157 Nah, kids are kids, I was bullied as a kid, by my classmates, and I mean I was the only one in class who didn't speak Swedish at the time, and there were foreigners in the class, and here's the kicker, I'm not a foreigner in Sweden at all, I just spoke another one of the unrecognized minority languages in Sweden. The Albanian kid who spoke with a foreign accent wasn't bullied at all. Kids will always perceive what's different as strange, and often there's no ill will behind how they treat you, and the same is true for people in general, they'll treat you differently because of your looks, your speech, your actions, your wear, etc. It's fully normal, because humans are incredibly tribal by nature. Poor people will be looked down upon by the rich people, the poor will look down upon the rich people, there's countless differences to treat others differently by. Race is hardly the first priority of anyone... It's just Americans who think of Racism for everything.

@@livedandletdie you proved my point “humans are tribal by nature” that means if you look different(race) you are a target for bullying. I’m not American I’m Australian. I was also bullied as a kid and am still outcasted now as an adult. Being different or not ‘normal’ gets you bullied. In Japan if you’re black for example you will be bullied. In America you will be bullied for being black if it’s in a racist area. In Australia I can’t say I ever noticed outright bullying of black people in school. I’m primary school there wasn’t many black kids at that school, maybe one or two. No one really bullied them to my knowledge but they kept to themselves. In high school if anything being black or aboriginal/islander made you more ‘cool’
