    @@mikecinema7443 Yes it was! I was young, but I remember the optimism for the new millennium. Everyone was so excited for the future, it seemed limitless. If only we knew what 21st century was going to bring, I'm sure we would have preferred to stay in the 90s forever!

    I’m 40 now. I remember doing my high school homework on the dining room table while my dad watched TV. He passed 2 years ago and it seems silly, but these commercials make me feel nostalgic and make me miss being 15 years old hanging out with my parents.

    Wow, I was 8 years old when all these tv shows and ads debuted. Nice keeping track of all this footage thanks to recorders, tapes and DvD players.

    Man I was only a baby back then I wouldn't remember any of these,But I would say 1999 is one the greatest timelines ever! The Matrix came out and my favorite Pixar film Toy Story 2! 1999 was a great year for Entertainment!

    @Sunroom 1708 Pot was very taboo at the time. It was considered countercultural to take part in it. Fox would've seemingly taken issue with this based on their largely religious viewer demographic

    Not as bright and as peppy as the 80s commercials, 90s-2000s more full of monochromatic dark themes and negativity when pop music isn't involved

    It looks like '99 is before the music industry tried to destroy Britney Spears (she's 17 here), before the internet took over the world and before Kevin Spacey was revealed as a predator. A lot of things started rapidly changing for the worst in the late 90's!
