I lived next to a girl in college that had connections to Haiti through her Catholic church. The Haitians would just come up here and be like, "I'm outside." Her mom eventually passed away there, car went off a cliff. She told me so much stuff about that place. And then to know how much many wanted my hair type for their voo doo and that they were always like, around. I ended up living with her, then her mom passed and she moved home. Now she likes other ladies. We are no longer friends, she wants me unalived according to her. Her mother is now a Catholic saint, registered and official. lol

I have an Australian shepherd. I don't know if he would bite someone. He's friendly if I invite you in, but he sounds like the most aggressive, violent dog I've ever heard when someone is at the door, even friends and family. I've had to put him outside before my wife's uncle would even come in, and then once in, my dog was all over him with kisses. Anyway, I make sure that my dog is at the door when they're pulling up for this exact reason.

Ben's right on the retirement age, kind of. When retirement was instituted at 65 the average life expectancy was like 63 years old. Entitlements were never meant to support people for decades of no work. But perhaps we should rethink retirement age based on industry. Physically demanding jobs would likely be eligible for an early retirement, etc. This is another reason Vivek would be a better president than Trump. He actually had a plan to fix some of that crap.

I don't think this bill is how we should ban tik-tok, BUT it should be banned. Algorithms can be used to manipulate opinion and behavior. While I don't think for a moment that any company has our best interests at heart, I know for certain the CPC views us as an enemy and will harm us in any way possible. There is no difference between ByteDance and the CPC as all companies in China owe allegiance to the Party above all else.

Oh my gosh I’ve been doing that mouth closed talking since I taught myself to do it when I was bored in middle school. I’ve never seen anyone else do it the exact same way! I’m unduly excited. 😆

I would roll my eyes a bit at Fleccas when he'd go with the "Chinese Data Stealing App" narrative in the past. I uninstalled TikTok after 3 weeks because it's really addicting and you can waste 3 hours straight on it easily multiple times a week. I was also worried about getting stuck in my own echo chamber too much as a result of the algo. But it really is an app where patriots were communicating freely with each other and out of the ADL's reach, so it's clearly "a threat to our democracy." That's why it needs policing or to be shut down by our commie overlords.
