    I think it’s because color going over silver hair doesn’t look natural because it’s missing red tones and ends up looking unnatural yellow/green and dingy, which has an aging effect. Dry hair also has an aging effect, so adding a gloss probably helped a lot with that, too. Not a hairdresser, so I’m just guessing

  • @TwoBs

    @TwoBs

    7 ай бұрын

    @@torisleaper7911 Most likely from Schwarzkopf as she used their BlondMe line for the bleaching powder and 20vol. They make some lovely toners (the whole line is phenomenal), but getting your hands on 100% officially direct-from-company products can be questionable as they cater mostly to professionals (for a good reason), but I’ve seen it slip through the cracks and make its way to consumers via a middleman type of situation (someone that has a license buys it, then sells it online). Be careful buying that stuff online through certain sites, though, especially when sellers pretend to be the company and list it. You’ve no idea how long it’s sat in a warehouse somewhere among lord knows what … just be thorough with reading. It’s not like your typical Sally’s brand of products and I’ve seen way too many people get their hands on it and not know how to apply basic techniques or understand color theory that will turn and blame the product.

And as I get more silvers in I don't know whether to leave it all to mix naturally or whether to color the whole thing. And once you're fully silver, do your options in cuts and colors change? I'm under 30 but I have quite a bit of silver in the front of my hair. Since my other hair is dark I decided to just embrace it. I didn't want to become self conscious about having to upkeep at the time. I recently started using Keracolor purple color + clenditioner just for fun. I use it from my hairline to the crown of my head to turn some of my silver hair on top a medium shade of violet. You just use it in the shower like regular conditioner so it doesn't add time to my routine but it's still a fun way to add a little pop of color. (The only other color I've ever used in my hair is Manic Panic semi-permanent. It turns my medium brown hair a deep purple that is mostly noticeable in natural light. Sometimes I do it on the front of my hair for fun but it only lasts a few washes)

    I'm currently in cosmetology school and one of my main reason with why I want to do hair is from watching you Brad! I felt like it was just so much fun to do and I'm also a creative person so I'm excited with that aspect of it too! But as of recently, I've been thinking that I might be getting way to far ahead of myself 😭 I know one step at a time but man, it's just so complex learning this stuff. I've got about 8 more weeks left of the paper part before I'm officially on the floor and it's safe to say that I am so nervous and excited at the same time but I really don't wanna fuck up anybody's hair. I keep telling myself that I'm still new to this and that I'm still learning new things but HOLY SHIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTT 😨

    Any good colourists can make you silver. It was a big trend for a few years so all of them have experience. I had my hairdresser do it a few years ago and it turned out great. If you do it, don't go back for pro toning, it will lighten and damage the new growth..Celeste in Venice on youtube has a warning vid on this. Just let your natural grey come in and use purple shampoo and/or conditioners. Won't be perfect but your hair will thank you. I had lots of fun with manic panic purple mixed with conditioner. And before you know it, you'll be in the silver fox club! I've never had so many compliments! :)
