Hi Helen, hope all is well with you! I purchased this shampoo based on your review here. I do not love the smell but I don’t think it’s that bad. My other styling products totally mask whatever scent is left after I rinse it out. The first day I used it I felt like my hair was stiff and dry. However, my husband commented how good my hair looked that day. I have slightly curly hair and it did not straighten the curls at all. Like you I found that this really holds the style even the next day after sleeping on it. I cannot use this every time I shampoo because I feel that it gets a bit dry. This last time I used a conditioner on my ends in the shower and then used a leave in conditioner before I blew dry my hair and that too care of it. I did purchase a full size bottle and I will definitely be re-purchasing unless something better comes along!

I use this line with the colour fanatic only just started using it today. Also my hair seems more frizzy but in a good way I’m going to alter this with the olaplex shampoo and conditioner. Also I have to say I think you would really like the ouai leave in conditioner as you’re hair type is the same as mine. It makes you’re hair so soft and shiny x

Do you only use shampoo and no conditioner?

Try paring it with purologey hydra soft hair mask I feel like the 2 would be an excellent combo so you get strength and moisture

What about the hydrate line??

My hair has become to thin and I’m balding on the sides of my hair from when I have my hair continuously in a ponytail. I’m tempted to cut my hair short to get rid of all the dead ends. Feel like I’ve used everything! I’ve tried Waterman’s products before #products #advice

I love the scent I do not like the scent of the hydrating one I am just now trying the strength cure Made my hair more shinny than normal.. great for high porosity hair to help fill in the holes .

Would be interested on your thoughts on Kerastase shampoo and conditioner in the extensioniste range

Currently deciding between the Pureology Strength Cure shampoo & conditioner, the Pureology Hydrate shampoo & conditioner, and the Olaplex Bond Maintenance shampoo and conditioner. I have semi-damaged (not terrible, but it has been bleached and heat styled and whatnot), fine and dry hair. Idk which would be best for me...help!

I’m sure you already made a decision since it’s been 3 months since you made this comment but coming from someone who has used Olaplex Bond Maintenance shampoo and conditioner AND Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner, I can definitely say Pureology gave me visibility healthier and softer hair unlike Olaplex. Olaplex made my hair greasy at times and really stiff and hard to brush through which in the end caused breakage. I recommend Pureology with the treatment masks!! Nothing makes your hair softer and shinier then a good mask. Pureology and Olaplex both smell nice and not overpowering but Pureology also takes the cake when it comes to smell in my opinion! Also the conditioner is soo minty is clears my sinuses in the shower. I have fine, dry, medium thick, wavy hair. Not bleached but definitely heat styled a lot!

Pureology strength cure is the way to go for me lol works better than Olaplex but smells better than the hydrate line

i know it works different for everyone but i’ve tried olaplex products and they never seem to do anything with my hair i never see no major difference :( i wanted to love it too. i just bought the $74 bottle of strength cure Pureology shampoo and going to see how it works i’m coming back with updates lol i’ve watched a lot of reviews and i’m going to see if this works

I'd say go for the Hydrate version, which comes in a purple bottle but otherwise looks like this.

I don’t do oil as you mention, but I’m not against them! Not sure any ingredients in them (biotin) are very effective but let me know if you try it and like it!

I did not like the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. I just used the Purology strength care. I hope it will do fine. My hair felt like straw wth shampoo. 🤦‍♀️. I shell se if worth me using again since I purchased large bottles.

@@HelenAvery Yes it is worth purchasing. Once I rinse out shampoo and applied the conditioner...hair was major soft and manageable. It was good for me .

I don’t care for protein in my masks or conditioners. My hair just doesn’t do well with them depending on what else is in them. I don’t care if protein is in shampoos. The only shampoos I like are Olaplex and Dreamlenghts. I feel you do need to take a break from Olaplex now and then. I use the whole line so it can build up. But 8$ for that little bottle! I hope the conditioner or leave in are bigger cause I would need two of those bottles! Good review! I might check it out🙂

The little bottle price is crazy! But the "normal" bottles are a proper, normal size. I hear you, I can't really do protein usually--it makes my hair look bad, but this one was ok! Olaplex does need a break, I totally agree, it can build up. Let us know if you try this one, or any others from Pureology!

Did you try it? I’m honestly currently using herbal essence rose hips shampoo and conditioner And dandruff shampoo as needed. I ran out of my Kerastase but I have some redken all soft shampoo

I bought the Hydrate Sleek to try out & the shampoo I think is worth the money because of how little you need to get crazy lather. The conditioner felt good but I felt like I needed more than I do with some of my cheaper conditioners so I don't know about it yet. My husband said it dried his hair out so he went back to using my cheap Sun Bum stuff, lol.

My favorite has been Dove coconut and lime shampoo and conditioner. But I recently used some shampoo and conditioner from Best Western called LaCoupe replenish and OMG my hair felt brand new! It’s sad though it’s only made for best western hotels.

I love dove intensive conditioner but couldn't stand the shampoos..I'd like to try hotel brand..they do have amazing products..

I know this is late, but I actually just bought pureology shampoo and conditioner... and the conditioner is okay, but the shampoo smells like baby powder which is one of my least favorite smells.
