The reason you might not have found it to be like a spooky forest is because the trees are young and in like 5-10 years it will look more like the forbidden forest. Edit: 190 likes! That's the most I've ever gotten 😁😁

I work at Unviersal, yes the trees are real and they are going to grow over the years because they did just plant them. The trees over the years are supposed to make the track hidden. That is the over all intention.

I got the very back the first time and then the very front the second time I went. The front you definitely feel the speed and you get the benefit of being at the highest point when you “lose power” (which should have been higher imo). In the back you really feel the g forces on the turns and especially when you start moving backwards...

Though, the line even on the best days of overcast weather and off-season will always be way longer for a coaster meant to be in universal not a wild mouse family coaster at SFNE, and it'll still be sub-par and ok in comparison to two epic B&M inverts. Harry Potter ruined universal, they are so lazy now and don't build anything that original or good anymore. Jason Bourne? Who cares, outdated already, terminator 2 3d battle accross time was literally timeless.

Been following Coaster Studios for a while and it's lovely to see where your sound has come as a result of having such a great coaster channel - you're not like some of these other dudes / dudettes? (usually screaming but worth a mention) with their either simple edits, or quick edits with pops and clicks.. your changes are as seamless as the elements on Fury 325. ;) Oh yeahhh sound engineering and roller coasters. Really great in-depth review! I have yet to ride it , last year when I was at islands of adventure it wasn’t open yet. As like your self I do have a very strong bond with departed dueling dragons. I rode it as a kid with my high school girlfriend at night with the fire works going off. True rainbow road feel at such a fun time in my life on that coaster. This coaster is high on my list but the likely good of me riding it anytime soon is very slim considering I live 5 minutes away from Universal Hollywood and they would never build a coaster like that unless it was screen based. I have also never been on a drop track coaster which I would love. Great review as always . Keep up the great content

Great review - I wouldn’t say it’s a perfect 10 but it does a lot of tings right and for a family coaster it was definitely more thrilling than I expected. I was there yesterday and finally got to ride. The last 4 times I went to the park I wasn’t able to ride it for one reason or another. Yesterday the line was only 60 minutes, and I only waited about 45. I was single rider and the single rider line was closed, but when I got to the final loading room they skipped me ahead and I walked right on. Also, previously the line closed at 3-4 - this time I got in line at 5:30 and the park closed at 6, so I got a dusk ride - not completely dark, but definitely added to the ambience. Glad to see they finally got the kinks out and they are actually keeping the ride open with park hours.

It was also my first motorbike coaster, and I never thought I’d get airtime. Luckily I didn’t get stapled (unintentional btw) and it was a pretty crazy experience for a mild coaster. Launches were actually better than I was expecting as well. Not fantastic, especially in a park with Velocicoaster and even hulk, but they hold their ground. I rode the mummy not knowing the fire was gonna be real and didn’t know about the fakeout ride lady so thag was fun. Went back recently, rode it completely alone due to covid causing the studio side to have 0 people outside of diagon. My first real coaster was the hulk which I rode not knowing about the launch. First ride of the day, went in single rider which was super short so I didn’t see any train launch and got put the front row. Screamed my head off. Universal Orlando is the only place where the rides consistently scare me.

Back in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 ages I used to have a Harry Potter themed park with a very similar idea of a ride. It was called "Aragogue", located at the forbidden woods and it was B&M floorless coaster.

I know it's a family ride but one mild inversion a la cheetah hunt would take this thing to the next level. Even just a twist in the track as you go up the half hill before going backwards would be insane (like wicked twister)

I waited in line for about 2 and a half hours for this ride, got a middle seat. I went on it twice in total. The biggest disappointment for me is that the ride ops staple you every time. However, i think i actually prefer it to the dragons overall (minus the wait times). It's a spectacular coaster in terms of theming and of course the actual rollercoaster. The last launch is surprisingly intense as well. My love for this ride might come from the fact that i'm from the UK, and we don't have any LSM coasters outside of Icon (which I haven't been on) that are like this. It's an amazing fit for the park but i think that the biggest benefit in my opinion, is that it teaches the parks that building rollercoasters, particularly heavily themed ones, can be profitable. This ride had people trying to get on like they were trying to save their lives. Overall, it's definitely a great coaster, but I wish that the ride ops wouldn't staple you.

Just rode, was pleasantly surprised! I figured ride itself would be fine and it was more about the experience...but the ride was actually quite fun!! Obviously not fast or crazy but it does just enough and I kinda liked all the launches and more unique elements.

I rode the ride twice. The wait times are insane, however I do believe that the ride makes the wait completely worth it. I got a chance to ride on the bike on the second row and sidecar on the last row. I would say the I loved the second row much more, because riding the back row, you get absolutely no loss of weight on the spike. The only big thing they need to work on is fixing the break down issue.

Hey Coaster Studios! When I rode this opening week, we were stopped twice during the ride and eventually had to be evacuated (apparently the first time they ever did that, so cool story I can tell now since it didn't end in a sad manner). That was during the day. We, thank God, got to ride it when it reopened late at night, and I agree that the ride is not the same at night than day. Being in the last cart on that big drop was intense. Everything about this ride was amazing, except one thing was kind of awkward: the queue. I get the theming and all, and as a Harry Potter fan I found it pretty cool, but when you're stuck in a slow line in tight caves and small rooms, it can feel rather uncomfortable (the overhead bikes section was cool, but does get kind of obnoxious after a bit). I absolutely agree though, 10/10, go ride this ride...!

I agree with you on the fact that the front row bike seat is the best seat on this ride. It literally makes you feel like you are riding a motorcycle. I might think about getting a motorcycle license after that experience. 😁😁😁

As someone who isn't much of a coaster fan, but a serious HP fan, should I get on this? My concerns are the first exhilarated hill, the straight up and back hill, and the drop section. I do, however, ride mine train at Magic Kingdom and Everest at Animal Kingdom, but am kind of scared during the hill/black trail part on Gringotts bank. Would someone who has rode Hangrids magical creatures before please let me know if you'd recommend I ride this ride or pass? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I ask because i love HP and just dont want to ride the ride and then have a bad experience. I'd rather skip the ride if yall dont see me liking it.
