Having 2 pressing events back to back. It was inevitable looking at his training too. Hafthor 2025 will be a beast!

His pressing is still behind due to the pec tear, he mentioned it yesterday.

This is understandable. The man tore his pec less than a year ago. He was so close at the first attempt and not too far on the last attempt of that first stone. He slayed everyone on the deadlift easily and could have gone heavier but was smart to spare energy for the rest of the events. Did surprisingly well both on the frame carry and dinnie stones. 2 reps on the appolo wheel was good for him considering having tore his pec less than a year ago. When he gets his pressing back he will dominate every show hes signed up for.

He's back on Deadlift, but tore his peck of the bone last year so this will take more time to come back. That being said....MOOPER THE BEST! LHBK!

Oh for sure, you got prime Hooper against a Thor who took 4 years off and coming off a pec tear. By Shaw or Rogue he should be closer to 100% With that said, Hooper is in a class of his own right now. I genuinely wonder, can anyone beat him this year? (In the big 4 competitions)

@@nolan564 If thor had picked up this stone, (and assuming he will will get the second one too) he would have been close to mitch no? Actually sorry I forgot about the axel as well. Just if thor recovered his pressing strength in general

@SZ-wb1qb Close isn't enough though. There's a reason why his last 5 major shows, he's won 4. It'll be interesting to see if he can win the Shaw this year. If Thor goes, I think he can win it. I do think 8 heavy events in 2 days could be the one thing to stop a "smaller" athlete like Mitch. But idk...just thinking out loud.

Being that he was a marathon runner and the few years between then and now where he got strong and not fat for fat sake, fitness must be what sets him apart from the rest, less time to recover and all that.

@@seanpittaway5341 Agreed. Reality is Mooper has noting you could consider a real weakness, but I think static strength is the best chance to beat him. Fitness: Best of any Strongman. Athleticism: Best of any Strongman. Static Strength: Top 3. Though, if Mooper gets his 475 kg deadlift back without losing other elements I think it makes him unbeatable. *Baring a big mistake...which we've haven't seen yet.

Same as with the axle. You can see it's the side with the injured pec that's problematic still. More time and training is needed to challenge others in overhead events.

Yeah it sucks that Thor couldn't win the contest after a epic, dominating performance on the first day. But he's still human and it's only his first contest back, the fact that he smashed the first two events after coming back from an injury shows that he can win next year for sure. His body just needs a year to get back to his peak and beyond 💪. And Mitch is a freak 🤯😄, the guy doesn't even do hot and cold and he is winning all these shows without injury. Idk if he realizes that no one else on the planet can do that lol. Even Thor needs hot and cold therapy everyday. If I didn't do hot and cold therapy I would tear myself to shreds training hard in the gym, lol. For me proper hot and cold therapy removes virtually all inflammation, pain and makes me feel incredible and healthy. Works way better than any PED for recovery. Mitch must have some freaky serum and genetics to heal so fast and not get so inflammed from training heavy all the time.
