I think it was made in 1972.
This is almost identical to his Recorder Sonata in F Major, HWV 369... Now the question is, which is the imitation of the other?

Outdated. There are many better interpretations now.
Thank the gods we have moved on from these heavy, insensitive performances of the 1960 - 1970s. This is more Bruckner than Haendel!!

Nonsense. HIP is often flat, without emotion, expression-less as that's considered a 'Romantic' trait. Harnoncourt being the exception
