a lot of people have been complaining about the looks, but I love it. The bulky front end makes it looks badass. Awesome review 👍🏻

This bike is getting tremendous reviews. For the price it's a great value Hyper naked. People are having so much fun riding this beast. I'm not a big fan of the front end styling but hell I want one, preferably with the green frame. Cheers.

the green-frame version has shiny/metallic paint instead of the matte black that's on the red-frame version... I prefer the green too but very afraid the shiny black paint will scratch or stain easily

I stated the fuel tank was 17l / 5 gal, the gallons is correct but my conversion to liters was wrong, it's 19l not 17l.

This very video made me like the zh2 and it also made me pick the red one. I'm picking her up tomorrow 👍🏽

I saw the bike in the flesh today, it looks pretty darn good! I know the front end looks questionable in photos but in person it looks beastly. Not ultra pretty but a purposeful looking brute.

After test riding so many bikes since last summer, I finally found this bike, suiting all my expectations - head an haert equally. Test rided in on friday, singed the purchase contract on saturday... On point...I think, you forgot to mention the surprisingly good wind protection in comparison to other naked Bikes. IMHO. Thx for sharing us this test!

Thank you for your honest and awesome reviews. I'm wondering why this bike doesn't come with a steering damper? Every other bike in hyper naked class come with one from the factory.

Been waiting for this. Been looking for something to replace my 14 sdr.

That bike seems perfect it has enough weight to tour on I didnt even know that bike even existed until now they need to add some things like bluetooth connectivity it would be the ultimate go straight after Ducati

Hi Scott, another very nice review! Thankyou. Mate can you please add a little more detail around the ‘flickability’ for on road spirited riding and for that, on road, is the weight then moticible?? As you may recall, I have been looking at her the BMW S1000R and Tuono but they are both out of the price range. How Would this compare for Handling? Cheers mate.

@@jamesmelendez4549 yep, I'd also like a ZH2+ or something like that: Brembo Stylema, electronic suspension... a decat system with shorty exhaust, proper ECU mapping, SuperCorsa tyres, steel-braided lines, forged alu or carbon BST wheels... but then I'd have to physically violate my piggy bank ;)

God I love this black and red. Needs some red wheels like the new z900 as well

If ide change anything about this bike. I wish they had matched the wheels with the frame. My 21 z900 has the red frame but with matching wheels. Works so well 👍

Thank you Zach, I think I'd take the MT-10SP over this but not the normal MT-10, then I'd take the ZH2.

Exciting bike. Deserves a more singular look. As is, it could be mistaken for a Suzuki or Yamaha or any one of many transformer style naked bikes.

Yes, but it has about double the power 😁

I like the Kawasaki H2. Testrode it a couple off days ago. What a wheelie monster and thats coming from one that has had the MT10. Only negative was the QS wich was not smooth at all. Ive Heard its almost as thirsty as the MT10 also wich is wery limiting. In Sweden they have just raised the price in May to 191.900 sek. Thats what a Aprilia Tuono Factory costs. I rather go Aprilia.

Another great review Scott. I just watched this and your Super Duke R review. If you had to pick one for street riding (no track days). Which one would be more fun? And which is more comfortable for longer legs? (I'm the same height as you.) This or the SDR 3.0? Cheers!

Thank you, The SDR is more fun and is and feels a lot lighter. The ZH2 feels more solid at speed and would be more comfortable on long rides and has a little more wind protection. Ergo's wise, they feel about the same. If I needed one bike to do everything I might go with the H2 but if it's just a fun bike, then the SDR. 👍

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Ducati V4, but I have a feeling based on what I've seen so far, it's more of a track bike. Interested to hear how you think it fairs as a road bike and where it sits in relation to the SDR and Z H2. Stay safe.

I love your channel.... have you tested the FJR 1300 es. Id love to hear your opinion. Also the way you set up close camera views with your tripod etc. When you walk around the various bikes at your country setup. Thanks for all your efforts and reviews well done from Canada👍

Best swingarm design for the straight line go fast riders is a double sided swingarm. Even Brock from Brock's Performance agrees with that statement.

a 100-200 would be better. from 0-100 there is not that much difference between the higher hp/torque bikes

Duc SFV4S, Tuono Factory, ZH2 and SDR doing a 1/4, 1/2 and 1 mile drag race... then a few 100-200 runs (either in an agreed gear or just at will); and ending up with some 100-0 and 200-0 braking tests; I'm sure some people could have a very fun day doing all that and I'd have a fun time watching ;)

What a thing of beauty :) I'd hate to see what the insurance costs are on it....lol

Since it's NOT a "sportbike" with all the fairing pieces and such to replace if it goes down, and it's considered a "standard" or "naked" bike, insurance is cheaper than I thought.

Insurance is real cheap l pay £165 a year!!!

Is the suspension soft? My hayabusa has a soft suspension which eats up potholes and bumps amazingly. My s1000r has a high end 'sport' suspension but it's way too stiff and kills my back on bad roads. Hoping this zh2 is soft. No way to test ride them here, please let me know. Thanks

What mode are you riding your s1000r In ? , I have a 2019 s1000 r sport & ride backroads here in Ireland & the suspension Is perfect in road mode !!

I've purchased nothing but big bores Kawasaki's since the 80s,my first new street bike Kawasaki H1500. I got my ZX-14 turbocharged, as my touring missle. I would purchase this bike , but at 186cm 113 kg it's just to small, I need good with all the electronics package street fighter either this, or 2020 1290 Super Duke R? So many good bikes today, no dog.

Can you review the Ninja1000sx?

Well, it depends on two things really, price and what it's designed to do. Price: MT-10 is about 4-5k less than the ZH2, here in Europe, now that's a significant chunk of change. Performance: MT-10 is the do all (standard) Supernaked, good power, good suspension, good weight, good at everything as is the case with most of the other "supernakeds". The ZH2 is a lot heavier (30kg/60lbs), does not corner even close to what a supernaked does and is really only good at drag racing and high speeds. Kind of like a naked version of the Hayabusa. Even though it is officially in the Supernaked group, according to Kawasaki, many moto mags don't classify it as a supernaked because of these reasons. I'd take the MT10 over this with out hesitation, unless I wanted a naked Hayabusa 😁 take care, Scott

Great headlights of which both sides illuminate at the same time and aggressive in your face styling not soon to be ignored or forgotten. Not another "cookie cutter" bike for sure.

@@NothingToProve Thank you. I really want to get a naked bike and now it's between the KTM 1290 R and the MT10. Is the extra speed and lighter weight worth the extra $5k? I've also read KTM isn't as reliable. I know Yamaha seems to be reliable. I'm a pretty big dude, 6'2, 265 so I'm also worried about the MT10 suspension as I've heard it's not too good

So many wonderful bikes out there ... thanks for sharing and though I am pleased you don't have a music score, if you did, it would be Jazz (pronounced jaaaaaazzzzzzzz). I have noticed your consistent approach is developing quite nicely, making comparison easier. You mention position this time and for many of us 'oldies', it is the big differentiator with knackered backs and hips etc. We have 'chatted' before regarding sports tourers and your wonderful new bike and my cheap as chips Tracer 900GT. Every bike i test and want (F800, S1000XR, Ninja 1000SX), I find that the position is just not quite right (too cramped in the leg department and/or slight forward lean) and then I get back on Freya (sad I know) and feel at one. For most of us, most things are a compromise, and if i was only blasting about on Sunday morning for a couple of hours, I might even buy this H2, but I ride everywhere, commute, IAM, all day journeys and therefore comfort becomes a priority. Sorry waffling there, thanks again Scott.

I like your review style and pattern. ZH2 has got thumbs up in all the reviews I’ve watched so far, especially wrt its Value for Money.. It has also become quite infamous for its looks.. Somehow this red one doesn’t look as bad as the green one to my eyes.. Quite a scenic neighborhood and route.. Curious to know which place is this !

I'm planning on doing a review of the Zero SRF that they just put a demo plate on this week (if they got it running yet) and the Aprilia Tuono too. I didn't know that they had a Dragster there too? I love the looks of that bike! I'll stop by there tomorrow (Friday) take a look and talk to David/Dirk.

Like the looks, love the performance... but IMO it's badass Sport Touring... too big and heavy to be considered a supernaked.

Sport touring??!! You must be thinking of the Ninja H2SX series. 527 lbs too big and heavy?Check the weight of the Kawasaki Concours, Yamaha FJR 1300, Honda ST1100, or the H2SX bikes ACTUAL SPORT TOURERS. Even GT bikes like the Ninja ZX-14R , Honda CBR1100XX and Hayabusa weigh considerably more.

@@stevesmith6236 It's not the most obese ST out there (it's really what I think an ST SHOULD be) but it's closer to them than to the up to hundred pound lighter supernaked's. There are also a whole class of relatively lightweight (sub 500lb st's like the Tracer900) ST's on the market - the ZH2 fits between those and the big guys like the Concours (another great bike). I think manufacturers like to call bikes supernaked's for market access but it often doesn't fit. IMO the traditional definition is that a SN should be based on a superbike platform, be lightweight and capable of creditable track performance. Even a bike like the KTM Super Duke is pretty sketchy to call a supernaked (more like a 'hypermoto' if that's a thing), but it's a closer fit than the ZH2.

‘BMV’, looks like a bit of the German pronunciation is sneaking in. The bike looks crazy nice, and a substantial machine, at 6’3” it looks like it might be a better fit than the BMV S1000R 😜

For how many years motor manufacturers come up with these insect-like designs? 10 years, 15 years? I'm still very surprised that people still spent their money on bikes that have the look of an angry ant. Once in a while they come up with something really beautiful, like that Z900 RS. Round, sensual forms. But those bikes you seldom see on the road. Am I missing something..?

Very sexy looking bike with massive power and great handling. What I don't like is that the motor sounds soulless and the weight is too high. This bike is good for high speed long distance touring and not good for spirited rides in the twisties.

Still can't understand the concept of a "soul", and especially not when pertaining to any mechanical device, especially vehicles. Add a nice slip-on muffler (can) and that combined with the supercharger "chirp" should satisfy anyone's sound expectations. Handles just fine at 7/10ths in the twisties, which is something I'm ok with. Take it up to 150+ mph and you'll surely be impressed and entertained.

Chuck Dyer I agree about the sound but it hasn’t turned me away from liking this bike at all because with an aftermarket exhaust (when more become available) I’m sure it’ll sound completely different. I have a 2019 zx6r and after I put my Austin Racing exhaust on it’s been a night and day difference. It’s all those pesky noise/emissions regulations the manufacturers have to deal with in stock form.

KTM has 0 top end

It costs 22k euro in NL, that's exactly what Ducati Streetfighter V4S costs. If I had 22k sitting in my pocket, I'd buy Streetfighter V4 for 17k euro.
