The technology shown here is amazing. Leveling the site, setting stone, main beam, cutting timber to fit the stone, cutting many joints, the thatching, and everything in between. I don't know how to express beyond awe.

The sophistication, systematic approach, collective work and absolute eye for detail of Japanese old building techniques are unrivaled. I work in construction in Australia were houses in general are quite poorly and dumbly build. It is fascinating to see that some of these techniques and construction procedures are way better than modern ones in terms of sustainability, durability and aesthetic value. This is such a fascinating learning material.

合唱造りは現地にある雪で根っこの部分が曲がった木が必要なんですよね。それが無いと屋根を支えられない仕組みになってる。スイスの幻影と呼ばれた。

消火に対しても「結」=人々の結束があり、村人全員が消防士になります。 その上、現在は火事を素早く消し止めるよう村のあちこちに消火栓が驚くほどあります。

Sou do Brasil, não conheço a língua japonesa, ao ligar o vídeo , sem saber o que se trata, só ouvindo , pensei que fosse alguma cerimônia , sons e cantoria de algum povo tradicional americano , ou seja indígena. Talvez mostrando a origem primitivo destes com o homem asiático.

形は違いますが、ブラジルの原住民もこんな風に助け合って家を建てていたのだと思います。 日本の安全性・泥棒が少ないことは、この助け合いが根底にあるのではないかと思います。

地震の多い日本で金物を使わずに造られたこのようにしなやかな家は素晴らしく丈夫だと思います。 釘や金物を一切使わない寺院や塔は1,000年以上経て健在です。 自然に抗うコンクリートや鉄への信仰が日本人を駄目にしている。
