• UNBOX AND FLY IN 15 MI...
The V2 Moonbeam McSwine is a great little warbird and now with the included ORX gyro, it's, even more, rock-solid. The perfect grab and go model of the iconic P-51 is available now, with full parts support in all warehouses:

The H-King P-51D Mustang “Moonbeam McSwine” is based on a P51D built in 1944 and flown by Capt. William T Whisner. Whisner joined the 487th Fighter Squadron which was part of the 352nd Fighter group based in Bodney, England, this group became affectionately known as the "Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney". Capt. Whisner was credited with 15 1/2 aerial victories during World War 11 which made him a triple ace, an outstanding achievement. The Mustang was one of the iconic US fighters from this era, it was economical to build, had long-range, was fast, maneuverable, and would take a lot of punishment.
There is little to build with the H-King P51D, it comes 97% pre-built with the motor, ESC, and servos pre-installed. All you need to do is fit the main wing, tail assembly, and plug in the main landing gear. To complete the model you require your own transmitter, receiver, and flight battery, after that everything else is included.
It has the power to do all the maneuvers required for a WWII fighter and looks fantastic in the air. The stabilization system makes it very smooth and easy to fly and because of its size, it is perfect for local parks, large indoor areas, or the local flying patch.

Thanks for featuring 'Essential RC' on the HobbyKing Live channel guys and thanks for letting us get our hands on this cracking little P-51. A small model with that big plane feel. Brilliant. Cheers - Dom (Essential RC)

Awesome man! Capt. Whisner was my great uncle. He was “Uncle Billy” to me. One of my childhood heroes.

How well does the flight stabilizer actually stabilize it. Is it like the volantex p51 750mm?

Apart form the colours it seems to be the same as the FMS 800mm Mustang..from about 2 years ago - but I do not think the FMS had Staberlisation

Hello, Thanks for your nice review :-) I would like to buy one of these HK P51 but I will be flying hand launching and belly landing (the wheels will stay in the box). In winter, it can be on raisonnable soft grass, but in summer, it will be more hard dry ground. Then, I need to think about props replacement but there is no stock at the HK shop and it will be not in stock before end of the year 2020. Two questions : 1. I read that we can fly this model in 2S with only 2 blades (then removing 2 on the 4) with only advantages (lighter plane, less drag and less risk for the prop). What do you think about that ? 2. Can we exchange these props by other ones ? Preferably with 2 blades. It would be even clever for me to use some folding propellers if it's possible. If you are thinking it would be possible to use others props, which ones ? Thanks to share your experience.

Looks great but my worry is the 4 bladed prop on 3 cell with only a 20 amp ESC. I think I will wait to hear from other buyers before purchasing this.
