It's infuriating to me that none of the doctors who performed the unnecessary surgeries on Gypsy Rose have been indicted. They were as complicit in the abuse as her mother.

Her husband is the one I'm keeping and eye on. Time will tell i don't trust them at all. I don't want to be the one that said i told you.

Doctor swapping, A doctor sometimes just listens to the parents without any medical evidence “she has epilepsy” that doctor writes it down, she uses that as a diagnosis for the next doctor. If any doctors push back at all the mother would go elsewhere Also she’d use medications to cause symptoms. Like numbing gum gel to get her to drool so much they gave her surgery.

Medicaid Fraud is a common practice....Deedee was a Fraudster. Many doctors pad their bank accounts when they are lucky enough to meet parents like Deedee. Deedee committed charity fraud, passed bad checks and stole from her own family. She was also a child abuser. So it's been proven Deedee was a criminal. However, Deedee was NEVER diagnosed with Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy. Deedee does not present like the typical mother with that psychiatric condition. Children who's mother's have this condition.....are not still being medically abused PAST 20 years of age!!! SO...for any PROFESSIONAL journalist or interviewer, on a major news network, to assert Deedee was suffering from a psychiatric disorder, which she had NEVER been diagnosed with, could ALSO be termed as FRAUDULENT. This is just sensationalism, bad journalism, and more people making MORE money off Gypsy's pain, in a VERY similar way in which Deedee did. Look away...nothing ethical to see here.

@@Anonymous-io9vp you can still be fluent and eloquent even if you have stunted growth. It's not a one size fits all phenomenon. There are several other factors that come in to play like trauma, abuse, neglect and missing out on developmental milestones and opportunities which can delay a person's development obviously which was caused by her mother. It doesn't necessarily affect your intelligence or how you articulate yourself. She probably did a lot of reading and educated herself in prison. But as far as milestone life experiences she was pretty much robbed of that. It's pretty sad. I'm just glad she's getting a new beginning and she's not letting it stop her from living. Correct. She was a victim of abuse, and she is also a calculating and pathological woman who sought out a young man who was disturbed - but who also was deprived as oxygen as a baby, is autistic and has a low to average IQ - to assist in planning the murder of her mother. She also provided the knife, gloves & rejected Nick’s suggestions of just running away together instead…. I’m old enough to remember when the story broke and the “hunt” was on Gypsy and Nick. Look at the two interrogation videos. This is not a person to make an “influencer” nor an “advocate”.

Trust me, if you have a parent like DeeDee you learn how to be EXTREMELY sneaky. My dad didn’t have MBP but he was extremely strict, so much so he would put trackers in my phone, car, etc. I knew how to remove them and leave them in certain spots of town where he knew I’d frequent and do things I wanted to do, like hang out with friends, see family, without his knowledge… because he was extremely abusive. Normally, I would agree. But this case is a unique circumstance where I have to disagree. Gypsy was raised in such a bizarre and manipulative environment that I don't believe she was capable of really acknowledging the severity or consequences of her actions. I think the sentence she received was enough.
