the guy posting this is the idiot. this video was mistitled. these clips are interesting, and some of ‘em funny, but i watched 3 mins and didn’t see any idiots. the idiots missing from this video are the crossfit “authority” thinking those tarded pull ups are a good idea

@@letsprogress4124, most of the time, you simply don't HAVE five people around you in training as you would have at a Powerlifting Convention... So yes, in training, if you are serious about powerlifting, you WILL fall on your butt every now and then when trying a new PR, and that's perfectly normal. I actually don't have any training partner, so I can't even get support when a bench press PR goes wrong. Hence you learn how to be safe in that situation BEFORE getting into it. ;)

Using proper weight, form is passable, got safety bars, I agree. Pretty good for someone his age.
0:28 What makes him an idiot? What makes this a fail? Guy's got a strong back. The fact that you can see the definition under his fat makes it all the more impressive. If he lost 15-20lbs of fat he'd look deadly.

Scrawny/beginners don't need to do isolation exercises. Needs to work on compound exercises.

@@resistantzero66 Nah, no rules. Just makes more sense. Even someone who has worked out for decades, as I can attest to, after a long enough layoff, starting back up, can do just one good set with a compound exercise per muscle group and be sore for days.

My guess is whoever made this video doesn’t understand powerlifting or fitness beyond being a casual gym goer because there’s a lot of stuff in here that isn’t a “fail” it’s just something you wouldn’t see at a commercial gym

Half squats may be but that was at best a quarter squat. If you can't squat to 90 degrees then you have too much weight on the bar.

@@sgt803 never squat to 90°! Only deeper or a bit higher. At 90° the force on youre patella tendor is the highest and you risk getting an injury.

You both need to do your homework because thats a legit lift a legit move, granted his form is not perfect but hes obviously a beginner, but the point is that its a legit move so before you try outing others online on KZread make sure you are sure about what your posting.

The first one wasn’t a fail he just got lightheaded and that happens more often than people that DONT lift think.😂
2:40 isn't a fail. He's doing an overload to prime his muscles and make the rest of his workout more effective. He just got lightheaded which is why he had a spotter.
That shallow squat with heavy weight is actually a real exercise.
I feel like some of these aren't exactly fails. Ego lifters and people doing dumb shit, sure. But newbies in the gym, doing legitimate exercises with poor form, cmon, who honestly squatted or executed a deadlift perfectly in their first few sessions?

No it's definitely an upper chest movement. Dips, decline bench and straight cable push downs would be lower chest. And yes his form is horrible lol.
I wouldn’t consider the deadlift pass outs fails; at a certain weight that happens naturally.
