To be fair, if we could potentially control it but we need to undergo specific things to create a connection with it in our brain (which is roughly how Hof describes it), it'd just mean that the name we have for it is outdated. You don't NEED to control it for it to work, after all. Hof just wants people to learn to influence it or something, I'm not entirely clear on what the process is, but that's at least what he's allegedly doing.

Before that it was pretty chill i was looking at still images on my buddys rotating screen saver and what i can remember was watching a knight standing on a pile of skulls witha two handed sword, id seen this many times before and knew it was a still image but i could see him tensing and breathing and swaying from side to side. and he also had me watch the movie the Labyrinth, that shit was fucking terrifying the fucking hands saying "she chose down" made me lose my shit. when my ex showed up the leaves on the ground started to turn black and curl up like ashes and my kid wanted nothing to do with me i bent down to give her a hug and she just gave me this insanely scared look , really hit me in the soul no idea why, maybe cause my pupils were like fucking ginormous

Co-sign. 7C is certainly cold but it’s not insane by any stretch. I have surfed in 4C with a 5 mm wetsuit. People regularly go in water colder than that for therapeutic reasons.
