GWater2 Early Access is out!
Thanks for watching!
Unlike my previous beta releases, this one will be paid. I've put roughly 200+ hours of my own time into this project, so I figured given that, and the amount of student debt I'm currently in (thanks, college) it was only fair :)
But do not fret! The final/full release will be open source, free, and on the official gmod workshop. The only downside is it will probably take a long time to develop (likely releasing in 2025)
So... Yeah! If you decide that this addon is worth downloading, check out the patreon, and have fun!
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE DOWNLOADING:
1. If you have an old GPU (more than 13 years old) and are not sure if you meet the minimum requirements, download and run the Nvidia FleX demo. If this demo works, then you can run gwater2.

Oh Wow I had no idea the performance had INCREASED from the first version! That's mighty impressive judging by the fact it's miles better than the first one! Loved playing that one and looking forward for this new 'fancy pants' version haha

I miss the old mods when you used to make random add-ons on Garry's Mod like "Seamless Portals" That jelly block and many more,they were so cool and creative. I hope the old ideas and Add-ons come back I know they are expensive to make but they were fun ngl.

Yeah.. the reason its gonna take a while is because i'll only be able to work on gwater during breaks. I'll really try my best and get a final release during summer, but there's no guarantee I can add everything in that time

altough the early acess is paid, its worth it, dude spent over a heckin year coding, downloading, testing the addon and perfecting it, man cant wait for the full release, this is so good!
The day of the full release you should make a low quality trailer like Gwater 1's

I feel like this is already perfect, so adding even more content will make this the gmod addon of 2025 or something, idk. And one question, maybe you should ask valve a one-off to allow other download options for the addon so that its all downloadable from the workshop.

Fruitiger Aero was the peak of digital design. UIs have only gotten harder to read since we lost skeuomorphism.

Thanks! I was the one who actually made the logo! And I absolutely LOVE this kind of logo style as well! It just felt right since Source 1 is old and GWater is new, it shows the advancements in technology between two different times.

A GTX 970? Will stronger graphics cards like 16/20/30 series be able to handle more particles at a time? If I can remember, there was a capped limit to how much you could spawn from previous videos. Honestly, if that's not the case, I don't really care anyways, this is awesome!

Yeah they can do more particles. Someone with an RTX 4080 ran 1 million particles at 20-30 fps
A suggestion would be to add water footsteps when wading through a liquid.
