@@electrobob992 Gels were never in ichuns mod and lasers were planned but never got in. Regardless of that, propulsion gel seemed to be in the trailer for a bit, and lasers would be really cool! Would be so awesome to see gel fully implemented l!

@@galvinvoltagIn the version for 1.7.10 (i went back to play it X3) they're in the options menu but inaccessible in game. I wouldn't be surprised if they were disabled though; I haven't been able to place the emancipation grills since version of the mod for minecraft beta lol

I played with it in 1.7.10, but of all of iChun's mods, I think my favorite one was General Layman's Aesthetic Spying Screen (G.L.A.S.S.). I wish there was a port to newer versions...

This is going to be great. I can't wait to do science in the sandbox world of Minecraft.

again... iChun has been gone way too long, and portalgun mod hasn't been at its peak since 1.2.5. Glad to see a new challenger in the ring, as much as I stand by the original.

I REALLY hope this mod adds panels to the game. It would be insane to be able to be able to manipulate floors and walls in Minecraft, maybe with redstone or something?

Could always tie it in with the create mod and use that to move the panels at angles just how the mod will inteact with panels at an angle is the main issue.

The implications of this mod and what it can do is very exciting. Would love to see it someday integrate with Create and/or CC:Tweaked to automate and program Test Chambers, ones that can react and maneuver

Finally. It's been so long since iChun's portals was updated.

just a little suggestion, purely as a bonus thing: you could add in the cube designs from portal 1 separately from the portal 2 designs, as those are actually technically separate from the portal 2 ones in-universe, or, at least, the companion cube that shows up at the end of portal 2 uses the original design. Idk if there's anyfhing else like that, where there's something from portal 1 that gets redesigned while also still having the original in-universe, but i think the cube variants would be neat at least. I could also bring up some other more obscure stuff like the contraption cubes from the education edition of portal 2, or the skull cubes that i think were cut from portal 1, but mostly i just think it'd be neat to have the cube designs from the first game as an option just for fun. also, for anyone who didn't notice it, yeah, it's not only the original cube design, but it also being covered in burn marks implies it's the very same one from the first game, meaning it was actually being kept all that time. i didn't catch that when i firat played the game around a decade ago.

As A Huge Portal and Minecraft fan I see this as an absolute win

Welp, now I feel old, and missing Ichun... Seeing the Portal Gun returning to Minecraft justs reminds me how much was left behind, the gravity gun... Sync... Ichun was the greatest modder in Minecraft history...

It's always been difficult to make portal-esque things in minecraft with the current mods (very little AND limited) and it's in an old version of minecraft. This is recent and appears to be a lot more easy and more out-of-the-box useful. Great mod, and I cannot wait for the release.

Doing so would both look amazing and be incredibly impressive considering how shaders tend to completely break the instant a mod does anything related to rendering at all

I remember working on a map with the 1.2.5 portal gun mod, only to be disappointed with the mod when it finally updated to newer versions, which has kinda left a sour taste in my mouth since. This mod though, omg this looks like the dreams of my 10 year old self coming true. Very very keen to check this out when it releases

Great map, I remember about 10 years ago I tried to make Portal 1 with the Portal mod and Redstone and I made the first 11 maps of Portal 1. Great times

The best thing about this is that you can see through the portals.
