@@tinaseide4626 Yes, it is sickening! Gill nets like that are worldwide, the worst for killing the most amount of animals. Check out Ocean Conservation Namibia, where they rescue Cape Fur Seals, for more information on just how bad it is.

Saving a bird from netting is quite a task. Well done.

I love Woodpeckers, they're the punk rockers of the bird world. That crying was sad, I didn't know they made that sound.

This Wiley Woodpecker was caught on a line until these men released her!! She thought they were going to harm her but they was there to help!! Thank You for everything that you did for this beautiful Woodpecker!!❤😊

"Remains calm" they say, while the woodpecker is still visibly struggling and off and on calls in distress. 😂 Regardless, thanks to the two nice guys for rescuing the bird. Keystone species.

A woodpecker has the impact of a jackhammer when using its beak. I'd definitely say that he was calm with only a little squirming. You should see my crazy domesticated bird at the slightest inconvenience 😂

She's not being patient, I disagree on that. She's dealing with the situation as best she can what with the shock, pain, etc. I'm very glad such good people came to her rescue!

No it can hurt the bird he did it so he didn’t get bite from The bird so I’m assuming he never had experiences with birds…I always have them land on me in Seattle while I smoke weed 💨 ❤

Sometimes we hear a read stories about people who leave animals behind when they move because they can't take them to a new place. We hear about people who leave their animals behind because they pass away or for whatever reason and the animal is left to roam the streets and it's a horrible life. Sad and everything that goes along with living alone on the streets feeling rejected just like a human would. But then we see these stories of compassion of care of people helping a little bird. A little woodpecker to be free out of a net. Bless these people.❤❤😂❤
