This piece fascinates me. It's in a major scale (I think?) and *almost* sounds happy. However, it's used during a fairly dangerous and intense part of the game. The drums give it this sort of driving urgency but the appregiated chords on top almost tiredly convey a notion of "you got this, this is far from the end, you can make it out of here". I like odd contrasts, and when things seem or sound just a bit out of place or unusual. Crafting a sort of generic "danger" theme while clickers chase you down is would have been so obvious. Having this be the background music to your daring escape feels novel and alters the tone of the section, adding to why it's so memorable.

Very gold explanation man, this track is awesome

This piece speaks incredibly loud enough to feel the desperation in this scene. The drums The tremolo guitar The major chords use in order to create a sense of hope and perseverance I love it

This and the short piece in the scene where Joel is explaining football rules while they ride the horse onto the university campus are my favorites.

0:56 I swear I knew this game was gonna go down in the books

When I was pushing that truck and @1:02 started playing, the hairs stood up on the back of my neck. I got so flustered, I accidentally threw a bottle at the truck instead of continuing to push it :P Great moment!!

When I played this part for the first time I swear I was on the edge of my seat. The music really set the tone. Great moment!

I don't know why the actual song doesn't play like this in the soundtrack :( Thank you so much for uploading this. When the guitar strums those 3 times.. Oh God, just thank you.

That guitar always gave me chills...For when i was watching my older brother play TLoU or when i first got to that moment, always had the same feelings to it. Tension and Hope. God i love this game.

When I first played this, I immediately tuned into the music and fell in love with it. Like it's just so emotional now, all I can do is think of tlou. This is my fav song of the whole soundtrack 💙

Thanks for uploading this. This is probably one of the coolest "battle" themes I've heard, and I was looking everywhere for it.

This is just perfect for that moment, hope I could return to the old times, and play this again just like the first time

There’s just something about this track that stood out so much from the others in the game 😍 The instrumental conveys the feeling so well, I’m in love with it!

When I 1st played this part of the Game I was Really excited about this part and the music. Because it just sets the Mood of Either Surviving Or Die Trying ...Just Awesome

This music really captures the urgency but also the second hand awkward feeling of bill finding out about Frank

This was one of the best parts of the game! Music really does set the tone well. The music kind of reminds of The National actually.

This is one of my favourite songs of the soundtrack

This son has so much room to escalate and become grande or bombastic. But it remains subtle and lets the emotions roll. I think its partly because of the circumstances, I don’t think anyone thought there would be major stakes going into pushing the truck. You will make it. You will survive. It won't be the easiest thing in the world but you will do it. You will escape. I think this does a good job of putting you in the headspace of Bill. He just seen the body of his friend and is ready to leave, probably mad at the zombies but more mad at the lack of closure with his relationship. Bill will survive but he will return to the town.

Also, if you're using iTunes you can edit the song's start time to about 1:00 minute in to cut out the somber intro. Not overly familiar with other music software, so can't really help you if you're not using iTunes.

I love this game it wasn't just a job with ellie it was a bond :).

This track sounds like it's saying "yeah we're all possibly about to die gruesome fucked up deaths but c'mon admit it, we're having fun right? 😏"

Goddamn it, if only they didn't make the music sound as like half as high as the rest of the sounds. I had to put music at 100% and all the others at like 60%. I almost had a tear drop hearing this one on the console, and i find it weird. Thank you for uploading. Would you mind me using it for Left 4 Dead 2?
