Hi! My name is Leonie and I am a 22 year old girl who loves talking about books! From YA to non-fiction to classics, I read it all (although fantasy will always be my fave). I live in the Netherlands and go to university, but make booktube videos in my spare time :)

Finally a booktuber who doesn't read about 100 books per year, it's nice to have someone we can identify with

@Gustavo Andrew what the hell is wrong with you?! Trust your gf, cause if you can't then that relationship is not going anywhere, so you might as well break up
*doing her best but also struggling to explain the awesomeness of the rebel series without giving spoilers* 'also the covers are really pretty' XD
I really liked The Gilded Wolves! I admit the magic system is hard to understand, but the characters carried the story for me! And yesss, Zofia and Enrique are my favourites from this book too!
I love how energetic you are about all these books. It makes me want to read all of them more.

I read Crooked Kingdom this year, too, and it’s one of my favorite books ever, but I agree about the plot.

Brave New World is actually a dystopia. And yet it perfectly describes present society. My god what a man, what foresight.

By the way if you want to see a debate arguing which book ( Brave New World or 1984) better predicted present society, you should watch this video. There are even scenes from each book occasionally acted out by real actors. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZWV3xcWloajPito.html
I love you videos! I enjoy seeing stats etc, especially in comparison with previous years! My favourites were Daisy Jones and the Six, City of Girls, The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna, The Chestnut Man, The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and Ask Again, Yes!
I absolutely adore your lil dances and your humor
I read crooked kingdoms in 2019 too! It’s been my favorite book ever for over a year now
I've heard that the gilded wolves revolve around diverse characters, one of them coming from the Philippines. I just want to say that it's so great that you loved that book! I'm Dutch too but from the Philippines hahaha. Love lots! ❤️
LOVE that you have stats!
Brave New World is one of my favorites books of 2019 too. Loved.
I love your energy, great video!
You make me do the unfeasible, Make me wanna read again 😎
You were super energized while filming! Fireworks !! A Clockwork Orange is one of my all time favorite books :D & one of top books from 2019 was Tell The Machine Goodnight by Katie Williams
I was going to sleep when the video appeared, where I live is almost 4 am. But it's always worth watching your videos. Arrive here looking for videos of people speaking Dutch and end up delighted with your videos. I have already read some and I have my list for this new year.

that's so great to hear! also yes i can relate to late night youtube watching haha
the gilded wolves looooove 💖💖
Your thoughts on Crooked Kingdom, I still hope I will enjoy it (knowing I lean towards how the story is synthesized). I bought Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom and I have not read them yet. 👑😅 Wow 40 books is a lot. 👍👌When you said a lot of folks felt disappointed about the next book that you will talk about, I knew you will say Gilded Wolves. I am excited to read Aru Shah series. 👍
6:19 reading a clockwork orange in an orange sweater....hmmm... coincidence i think not haha. Anyways loved the vid hope to see more soon!!!
I *kinda* stopped reading around 2017-2019 as well and it went real downhill for me. I remember ending 2017 unsatisfactorily only having read 6 books and I hated myself because I usually wrap the year up with 30-40 books. But right before 2019 ended I fell back into reading and things have sudddenly been better since. Massive reading slumps are such a downer aren't they? 🙄
Loved this video ❣️❣️
I forgot what was with the ending of The Children of Blood and Bone that made me rage, but there was something she did to turn the story into a series which I hated. It was good though, I gave it 3 stars. I actually enjoyed Inaan a lot in the first half, before that romantic arc.
I loved the Gilded Wolves and it was one of my favorite reads of 2019 as well! I thought the characters were wonderful. The diversity wasn't just thrown in for the sake of diversity. It felt relevant to each of the character's personalities. I am so sad that Silvered Serpents isn't coming out until September! By the end of the book I actually really started to like Severin. He has so much room for character development so I'm intrigued.
You may have single handedly convinced me to read the gilded wolves when I've heard nothing but negative things about it 😯
I can’t imagine what reading a clockwork orange would be like to someone who doesn’t know any slavic languages. Proud of you for powering through it.

Can you recommend more Dutch books, nonfictional or not? The one you mentioned sounds pretty interesting. Also , who’s the greatest Dutch writer ever in your opinion? :)
i only found out you had posted a new video now and im really upset that youtube didn't notified me... i love your energy when you are talking about books! you make me want to read them instantly. loved your video!
Loved this video and you should make more videos in dutch
Not gonna lie I clicked for the stats
😍
You should check out Akata Witch. Based on your top books, I think you would enjoy this series as well. I listened to the first one on audiobook on a whim and was pleasantly surprised.
