Great video....just a tip, there were 2 different mags for these...commonly called old & new. One is 8 shot with square floor plate ( like your original) and the 9 shot like your new one. The difference is in the followers.....that's why your pistol no longer has a last shot hold open and when you remove empty mag the slide stays open. When you then insert another mag ( loaded or unloaded) the slide will close when the mag is fully inserted. If the mag is loaded, it will of course chamber a round no slide racking or slide release required. Makes for fast reloads....it's really a good system. Mauser actually had a prototype in 9x19mm...but military chose the luger there is also a 1917 .32acp that is mechanically identical th the 1910 , just larger. Thanks again .
@TheKinzlerBros
7 ай бұрын
Thanks we appreciate it, I didn't know that but, on this one the top of the mag release broke, which holds open the slide when empty. Even without a clip it wouldn't stay open. Thanks for watching
Wow, these restoration videos are such a Zen moment. It is so satisfying at a deep level to watch you begin and then complete each step... looking forward to the FN.

Reasons, probably. Small, light, discreet, cheap ammo, easy to use, not so loudy I guess... Yes, some might argue the .25 is an anemic cartridge, but getting shot 3 or 4 times is not nice, whatever the caliber. In such short distances and even more if it's aimed to the face, even a mouse gun can give anyone a bad day. And it does comply with the rules of engagement, considering the reason to use a gun is to cease your attacker's intentions, whether by killing or seriously wounding him, or just scaring the shit outta him and alerting the neighbors.
Awesome job! Great addition to the brought back from the dead collection!

It usually means another gun had to die so another could live. Just the way it is.
Try taking a piece of glass and wet dry fine grit then wet polish the flat surfaces of the frame and slide. 1500 will make the engraving pop.

Aurora's Rat Patrol definitely has a strong reference to Squad Leader. Since they both have to do with WW2 America, the Soviet communist Russia, and Nazi Germany. I also remember this scenario name from Avalon Hill's Panzer Leader, that's operation good wood.

This was the first gun I ever shot about 60 years ago. Dad had a nickle plated one. I hoped to inherit it but he gave it to my uncle who's house got robbed a couple of months later and he lost it. Along with a model 1894 Winchester lever action with an octagon barrel that I also very much wanted.
