Ойындар
In this video we will be going over how to install the Gulikit Hall Effect Joysticks. These sticks should remove any stick drift because they use magnets to detect the movement.

Dude super helpful. Used this as my guide for the whole process. Thank you so much!
Awesome guide. Thanks so much for creating this
awesome tutorial!!!! i will say shouldve mentioned the stick recalibration in settings since i had to do that for my left one but after that they work flawlessly!!!!!
I do not recommending to disconnect the cable on 2:50 ... Its a nightmare to put it back on.

Same here, I agree. That cable is a lot shorter than the other side and I had a terrible time reconnecting it. After it was all back together, my ZR didn't work and I had to reopen, and fight with it all over again. Luckily, 2nd time around it seems to be ok now. Do yourself a favor and work around it without disconnecting

@@MD-ot3nl the metal thing should face down when you clip it for the right joycon and it should face up if you’re doing it for left

The person who posted this video should honestly pin this comment. I thought the ribbon cable for the Joycon was a pain to reattach, this ribbon cable was WAY worse. It really isn't necessary to disconnect it.
Do not disconnect the middle board ribbon cable, it is a nightmare to put back on, and is easier just to leave it off to the side.

I should have seen this before starting... I'm on the second joy con and it's really getting on my nerves. Most of the time I spent on the first one was just getting that cable back in
Thanks for the video helped a lot but it seems the splatoon joycons are a little differently shaped on the mid lar battery holder not much but just the shape is off on green
I rlly gotta start looking at things more before I start buying them on Amazon
Hello bro, I have a question that I hope you can help me, (I'm from Spain, that's why my English is bad) I bought these joysticks and I removed the rubber that you removed to put the color blue, I also did it to change the color to blue because It's great, what I did notice and that's why my question is that when removing the rubber from the joystick it unfolds, as happened to you, the anti-dust rubber that is under the stick, that thin rubber that is meant to protect from dust, and then when putting again the stick notice that this rubber is no longer so attached and if you look it dances a little more than normal is this normal? I don't think it's a problem but I wanted to confirm a greeting, I don't know if I explained it well or you understood me

Help, the same thing happens to me, did you solve it? 5:17
I need to find or make my own rubber replacements dome / dust covers as I lost one :(
When purchased will we be getting one Joystick or both. Very excited to work with these.

We sell them in sets of two, so if you buy one pack you'll have enough for an entire switch! 😃
Aaaaaand I broke it. Edit: i didnt break it and it actually worked! But I probably didnt need to replace the joycon anyway, probably could have used IPA to clean it.
Whatever you do DO NOT remove that cable at 2:50. Leave it on and work around it.
Broke my controller trying to get them ribbon out. Definitely not something to try when your unfamiliar with ribbons
Telling people to simply pull up on the connector for the battery isn’t a good idea, people are going to snap the wires
I don't recommend this replacement if you need to ever use the stick buttons. My wife plays a game where she needs to use the buttons and after a few days the left stick just stops clicking and won't read left/right inputs. Happened twice.

I've not had this issue. Are you sure the ribbon cables are seated correctly?

@@ZeldagigafanMatthew yes, they worked for a few days or so perfectly. Maybe my wife presses down really hard on the sticks, but we got OEM Joycon Joystick replacements and I installed them with the cardboard backing method and they've worked for weeks now, idk man.

@@AntonioEligius maybe you got a bad unit, sorry it happened tho.
I like that these sticks exist, but this is one of the worst purchased i've ever made. Not ever worth this level of hassel.
Please provide better instructions when it comes to disconnecting the battery. You said to just pull up. I did this and it ripped the wire from the connector, now the battery doesn’t work. I should have looked at the amount of views / likes before watching because this is an amateur tutorial. Please beware of this video, the controllers are extremely delicate. Watch a professional takedown video instead.
