Gula Melaka Ma Lai Koh 椰糖马拉糕 | 马来糕
Ingredients （材料）：
150g gula Melaka / palm sugar (椰糖）
100ml water (水）
2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (炼奶）
80g corn oil (玉米油）
3 eggs（鸡蛋）-grade A
150g plain flour (普通面粉）
1 tsp baking powder (发粉/泡打粉）
1/2 tsp baking soda (苏打粉）
8” bamboo basket （8寸竹篮）

interesting.......no yeast or custard powder......much simpler recipe. This reminds me of the yellow Chinese sponge cake my mom taught me how to make when I was a child.
Inmlikenyour version of malay ko. Here in the Philippines, Palm sugar is expensive, can i use dark brown sugar or muscovado sugar? What can i replace for condensed milk? CAn i just put hot water to my powdered milk?
