problem is most scooter frames would twist/distort under the kinda torque this likely produces. perhaps a super heavy duty one could be modified to take it... really this is close to the size of the scooter a friends father got thats based on the design from a riding lawn mower, motors under the seat, not nearly this powrful though, its just got like a 5hp honda motor in it(way more then it needs for how he uses it..going to the place down the road for breakfast then to the store or bar, then back home....(alot cheaper to run then a car, he didnt like the electric one his insurance got him before his knee sugary it only got around 15miles max, and took almost a day to charge with the charger it came with....so he bought one he found someplace online or in a catalog.... i do get what you are saying but, really it dosnt matter much that they didnt start with a retail scooter, but that it fits within the specs/design size of a mobility scooter. i will say, something like this but with a smaller 5hp motor could be alot of fun for my gimpy ass, could get to the local stores with ease, at faster then 5mph....... ;)

You need two brakes, They can both be on the back axle but different levers applying the pressure to them. Lots of Chops and Bobbers used this method so they have a clean front hub.

GUYS A MOBILITY SCOOTER IS A SCOOTER FOR A DISABILITY OR LIMITED MOVEMENT PERSON. So it doesn’t matter if he built it from scratch, if it’s a scooter with four wheels and a seat it should counts

Now that is a badass build! Who cares about it being a mobility scooter or not..you got to have balls of steel to drive it!!! Also the aluminum body is nicely done..

Big deal it's relatively easy to throw a 2 stroke motorcycle engine into "your own frame" I'd like to see a REAL mobility scooter with the original electric motor or a souped up "electric" motor. That would be a real achievement.

I agree with what everyone else says this is no mobility scooter. Its an imitation. The frame should be a modified mobility scooter frame and wheels should be standard etc. This is completely wrong and is more of a bad attempt at a go-kart record. I was thinking of going for this record but this is silly. If it stands I wont bother wasting my time with a zx10 powered bike with three wheels :p

If this is a mobility scooter i could just add a higher seat, a handlebar and a basket to any car that could go 100+ mph? i think the chassis should be from a mobility scooter atleast not from a go-cart

So a few years ago my mother actually got in trouble with the cops for taking her mobility scooter on the highway attempting to go to Dollar General (I fookin swear to GOD Mother....) and now I live in fear that she's going to come across this somehow and try to acquire one of these.

I hate to say it but this should NOT have been accepted unless you created a new category for "World's fastest MODIFIED mobility scooter". The criteria as originally drawn up by Collin Furze in 2014 is that the scooter MUST NOT look like it was modified. Your scooter looks custom to the hilt. You're miles better off turbocharging a 125 cc pit bike engine and throwing that into a scooter chassis, running 7lb of boost and using a high octane fuel such as E-85 or 105 octane petrol. It'll hide better than a 600cc engine and still deliver 100+MPH on the rev limiter with the right gearbox if your tyres don't explode first!!

I don't see why you would have to register this for the road. The Americans with Disabilities Act makes it so mobility devices are allowed anywhere the public is allowed to walk and occupy. You don't need to register mobility devices even if they are motorized. I was thinking about this as there are so many laws against electric bikes. I wondered how a motorized wheelchair was allowed to use certain areas along with peddle bikes, but not electric motor bikes.

adrummerdude2 ... The Americans with Disabilities Act doesn't apply to places that are not in America, that's why... There's a whole rest of the world out there that fits in that category. Also, this is a heavily modified go kart... not actually a mobility scooter... just looks like one.
