I chose Hans Christian Andersen, because I hadn't really gotten into the game until that fateful afternoon where I summoned him for the first time on FP. I absolutely lost my shit. The guy who wrote The Little Mermaid is a Servant in the Fate series? One I get to use?! Nah man, this is tops. He stuck around by my side ever since - we witnessed tragedy and triumph together, cleared every Singularity as a team, and formed an unshakable bond that not even the Grand Caster himself could hope to overcome. I didn't care if he was low tier, but then someone told me he was more or less high, so I just couldn't *not* use him. Working on 10/10/10ing his skills now, but every other aspect of him has been maximised. Still hasn't gotten any taller, though. We're working on it. Edit in 2020: whoa so apparently this has a bunch of Likes now Glad y'all enjoyed this comment ♪ Edit 2 in 2020: a few people have responded in such a way to make this clarification seem warranted, but just so you know, what I meant by "I didn't care if he was low tier" was that I *wouldn't* have cared even if he *was*, and I didn't have the game knowledge at the earlier stages to determine what was or wasn't good - but he still would've gotten all the love regardless. Hope that helps clear up m'meaning ~

@@neko4069 That being said, grailing doesn't do much for him. He's incredible due to his skills, not his stats. Of course, when you're a fan, that's all the reason one's need to go ahead and throw all the grails at him. Of course, @Charles said he *thought* Hans was low-tier (which, you know, he appears to be when you don't really know the game), but was told afterward "nah, Hans is good civ", which he absolutely is. As a f2p who only started three months ago, Hans has been a precious help, even if I didn't really realize what he could bring to the table until Camelot forced to shape the hell up.

Wrong choices. Ushiwakamaru is the correct answer because at level 100 she gains "head pat for dmg" which each crit she does, she gets a head pat which give hidden Atk+. Other than that nice vid.

Can confirm that Summer Ushi has a variation of this skill as well. Did a little digging in the game files and found she has "Headpat (Play) EX", only available at level 100, which increases her Quick effectiveness for every crit she lands. Not as easy to pull off since she's an Assassin, but nice to know they kept the trend going with her summer version. :)

@@falconmage89 If it makes you feel any better, Hans is a budget Merlin and Gramps is (ironically) considered to be fairly bad at the role of Assassin since he's basically a zerker with an Assassin class slapped onto him (Jack actually ended up ranking above him in Japan, then completely eclipsed him once Skadi came).

First he presents the options, in a technical, educational way. Then he sais the most important thing- "do what you want, have fun". What a great guy. I wish I could like this video twice

The hardest part with grailing for love is when you love a bunch of characters. Though I'm patient enough to get them all to 100 someday. So far I have grailed Shiki Assassin, Banana Oni, Ruler Martha, d'Eon, Herc, and Kuro to level 90, with OG Cu at 80, Hans at 70. But yeah grailing for love is the best reason to grail c:

@@C4shaRaM4 So good I got him to 80 now actually some months after my initial post. He's also getting a pretty hefty buff in the near future that replaces his 3rd skill that removes the defense demerit, increases the stargen amount and will be targetable for a character.

Grailed Summer Martha. Got her on a whim because "hey I like Hayami Saori's voice." When the summer event was ending I Grailed her to 90 and have brought her along through Camelot and Babylonia and lemme tell you she was a true anchor in Camelot with her Ruler resistances and Buster deck with Buster NP. Thank you for punching things until they die Saint Martha.

A lot of people stress min/maxing every aspect of gameplay. For some people that is fun. Becoming as strong as possible is fun. Clearing challenges with weird team comps is fun. But that's not fun for everyone and I just wanted to stress that. Sometimes we just want to see our favorites :)

When I used my Grails while I was brand new to the game, I thought it was just nice to see some love for some 3* I liked and a 1* which I enjoyed looking at and appreciating. Jing Ke, Euryale and Asterios. Pretty much wanted to see them in gold/silver border because I liked to show my appreciation and love for them. They all sit in Bond 10 now but I hope to get all their skills to level 10 one day. Jing Ke has already met that and I have no regrets. Illyasviel is level 100 ever since Prisma Causeway was first out and Chloe is going to see Illya there on the next grail, sitting on level 98. A bit of an unrelated note, but Irisviel was also loved before the two came to NA. I got their skills 10/10/10 as soon as I could. It was definitely worth all the effort just to see their smiles. I love this game and its community. I also love your content~

Euryale is definitely worth grailing, even from a mechanical standpoint. But I've also really enjoyed her relationship with Asterios, and while I haven't grailed either, I leveled Asterios solely because of it.

I'm currently grailing Billy the kid. I just recently managed to np5 him, and I've loved his style from when I summoned my first copy almost a year ago. Part of it's also that here in this party of knights, Grecian badasses and divine weapons, we've got a guy who's just good at shooting things. Watch out Solomon, you might be the King of Mages, but Billy's got the most powerful magic spell of all.

I couldn’t pass up grailing Jalter to 100, that combined with Jack/Merlin is a menace. Cu went up to 80 and Kuro went up to 90, and I’m saving the rest for waifu Ereshkigal at the end of the year.

Eresh is good civ. I grailed Jalter to 100 as well after she blew me away during Rashomon. That damage output is really insane.

I gave in and grailed Jalter during the Salomon pillar farming. Jack's stars and Merlin's buffs are borderline broken alright :)

If I had all the good dps servants then maybe I wouldn’t have grailed Jalter but I’m mostly f2p and just got lucky in 2 rolls for Jalter, I don’t even have Herc lol. So i kinda needed a good all around dps servant that could kill literally anyone and this worked the best out of my options

I grail my top tiers & most-used servants during events. Jeanne Alter lvl. 100 Chloe lvl. 90 Georgios lvl. 70 Cu lvl. 80 Medea lvl. 80 Planning to Grail Arash & Spartacus maybe once each for farming purposes. xD

i just started played about a week ago and I have already gotten an Edmond Dante’s and a Leonardo Da Vinci

I grailed Altera to lv100, after Extella i love her character and she was my first SSR. 😍

I grailed Mama Raikou to 100. She is an amazing farmer and I also use her for most content. Still trying to decide on my second grailed servant... maybe Oda archer since I love her so much and she is an NP5 farmer .

Thats why i grailed Kojirou. The Regend!

My currently grailed servants are: Archuria at level 100 Santa Alter at level 90 And Euryale at level 80 Soon to grail: Other Seibas once I get them. Also, thank you for including my past comment on your video. Great content as always.

I almost felt called out when you mentioned giving love to the fox wife. Both normal and summer tamamo are at level 100 and I'm just waiting to get more qp to get tamacat to at least 90.

I was afraid to use my grails, but thanks to your video I was able to come up my mind and decide in witch servents will I go to use. These are Altria, The king of Knights, Ereshkigal and Emiya! Many thanks to help me out!!!

I've used some grails mostly based on utility. I gave three to George and two to Herc and Cu. Im saving them for later used, but I think I'll give Fionn two just for the lols :P Thanks for the guide! Keep up the good work!

Grailed Arturia since I owe the king of knights my absolute loyalty. Currently i´m also considering grailing Jalter or Mordred. Damn Mordred was badass in Apocrypha :D

Most definitely had to get my boy bedivere grailed. From being one of my favorite servants and also one of my most useful I just couldn't take those grails away from him

This "tips screen" just like in game are amazing :D

I grailed Waver :P my first 5 star ever and carried me through all the singularities it's only what he deserves

I've just been using my grails on characters I like and use a lot. So far it's just Musashi and Ishtar. If I get Jalter, Jack or Cu they'll be level 100 as well for sure.

So many to grail so far Angra, and Taiga, along with Boudica and few others have been grailed once or twice but man some of the one stars should be higher and class differently looking at you Sasaki

As a new player who restarted to get Heracles , this is a useful guide to plan later on!

My friend and I were talking the other day how he saw a lvl 100 max skilled Paul Bunyan and it just made me smile seeing someone maxed her out.

Scáthach was my first 5* and MVP, so I thanked her by grailing her to 100. Haven’t regretted it once.

So far, I've only grailed 3 star servants. I have Cu, Kiyohime, Ushiwakamaru, and Jaguar Warrior. They're some of my favorite servants in the game so that's the main reason why I did that, and I just raised them to level 80 (normally capped out at 70) but I might go higher on some.

I'd say that class is also an important aspect to consider when choosing a servant to grail. Casters and Assassins for example have a lower damage multiplier than other classes and act more as supports or niche killers, so raw stats don't make much difference; on the other hand, Berserkers and Extras have strong class bonuses and can be used against multiple classes as well.

Level 90 FSN Cu and Level 100 Kojiro. No ragrets. Both have saved many teams.

Everyone else seems to have serious and well-thought reasons of grailing their servants and then there's me who's grailing Robin Hood just because my friend dared me to 😅

I love that any servant is viable with the right set up and effort to make them strong. There are definitely game breaking servants and efficient candidates but you wont lose much if you just grail your favorite. 👍

After coming back to Fgo for about a year away I finally fully grailed Ushiwakamaru and I'm happy

Gonna stop in and say "It's your account, if there's someone unpopular you like? You give 'em grails anyways because half the fun of the game is using who you like best and seeing them live up to their full potential". I have a lot of respect for people who grail servants you'd never think would get a single one, talking people like Blackbeard, Leonidas, William Shakespeare, Mata Hari, Jaguarman (Taiga is great so you get extra points if you do this.), King David, Mozart, the list goes on and on. I do my best to personally friend people who have obscured grailed servants.

I used up all my grails... 5 on Ozy (I was planning from the start to max grail whoever was my first SSR), 4 on Musashi (waiting for 5th on Shinjuku), 2 on Chloe, 1 on Zerkerlot and 1 on Cu FSN.

Definitely Arthur Prototype if I get him ;D if not my Gil Archer and Caster

Grailed my Santa Alter for sentimental reasons. I joined FGO during her first run, and I loved the event so much. She carried me through the first few singularities, and honestly? She deserves them.

I used my grails on Karna. He saved my ass more times than I can count, so he definitely deserved to reach M A X I M U M P O W E R

I still haven't figured out who I want to grail. I'm been blessed with EX luck (while being a dolphin) so I'm drowning in 4 and 5 star servants. I don't NEED to grail anybody, but I have so many awesome servants that I don't know who to do so for love. My first thought Is Ibaraki, but I'm also super tempted to do so for Paul, and be that guy who has a grailed Paul on their support list. lol.

So far I've grailed 2 or 3 servants based on love and "how well they've served me". A STRONG example of the latter case is my Leonidas, who was the first servant I've ever grailed. All because there have been a few times where that muscle head has seriously SAVED my sorry behind.

I grailed OG Nero to lvl100 for both love and power reasons. She can be an incredible solo machine and paired with my Tamamo (and another Support Tamamo or Hans or Mash) she can easily be used as my main damage dealer for almost anything. Apart from that I grailed Euryale to 80 for efficiency and am currently unsure on who to grail next

The only way for me to use my grails is for the ultimate goddess waifu, skadi

Grailed Dantes to 100 (Just because he's my first SSR in NA, as well my first NP2 SSR and he's badass AF) Grailed Lancelot Saber to 90 ('cause I've been a fan of his performance when I first played JP back in 2016) Grailed David to 80 (Just because he's been useful for CQs + the gold border looks so good with his Bond CE) Grail Plans in the Future: Achilles (Top Priority, he's my favorite among all Greek Heroes, and Fate/Apocrypha LN and Anime just solidified my likeness for him) Li Shuwen [Assassin] (Bad-ass Grandpa + been a fan of Bajiquan, if FGO is doing something right, it's making old men look awesome, Hassan and Yagyuu alike, but I've been anticipating Li Shuwen even more) Miyamoto Musashi (Like Saberlot, she's one of those servants that impressed me from the get-go back on JP 2017)

8:44 ALREADY ON IT! Jack is going to be my first fully grailed servant (already at level 96) and then it’s going to be my Jalter

Loved the vid! I personally have only grailed Herc to 90 out of pure power. I am a little stingy with my grails, but I might grail Jalter to 100 if I wanted to. Just waiting for the perfect character (Jack) to come into my hands.

Ushi, Caesar and Nobu are on my short list of characters I'll probably grail once I get that far. Most likely Drake as well, if I somehow end up getting her.

Working on grailing my Jeanne d'arc. Honestly she's always been such a connected servant to me litterally the first ever SSR i've gained in the beginning of my story i was so lucky i pulled her so early and she's been a savior in MANY MANY battles ( ESPECIALLY GAWAIN... ) so.. it's really only the most natural thing to do to at least congratulate and thank her so much for saving us.

I used one grail on Asterios, I'm mainly going to use the grails for him since he was there with me since the beginning and has always saved my back even if he is just a one star i love him out of every servant the most

I'm using mine in medusa,Ana, and gorgon

Going to grail both Salieri and Shuwen Assassin to Level 100 soon so that I can watch their attack moves more.

One thing that wasn't mentioned here was the grailing of farming servants. Arash and Spartacus for free options, and Fran and Zerkerlot from the gacha benefit tremendously from grails, and in return the player benefits tremendously from them, as granting them higher damage output directly affects their viability and ease of use in both the daily grinding and during events, especially when there is a lotto involved. Considering that 90% of the game is repeated grinding, that is something hard to overlook.
