Guess who made an appearance? 🤔🙂
** So while working on these Massey 360s, I guess we needed someone with a little more experience to remind us of what we are doing wrong! Haha.. So dad "Robert" or "Bob" makes an appearance 🙂

That smile on your dad’s face is telling that he was feeling nostalgic.
I like your dad’s personality. Maybe in time he will feel more comfortable to pass on his vast amount of knowledge relating to earlier farming practices

If your Dad is not in another video ... EVER, I feel BLESSED to have gotten to see him at least once. I respect his privacy but that man is a WEALTH of knowledge gained by experience. Those trial and error lessons are the ones we remember the most. Please tell him we are HONORED to have gotten to see him.
So thats how you get the older generation out... older equipment! Nice to see Mr. Mitchell!
Hey Mike, loved hearing from your Dad, would be awesome to hear from him more often. I have a few videos of my Dad kicking around and now that he has passed they are some of our most treasured possessions. Love the vids!
You forgot to take your shoes off as you got into Ernie’s cab. Most likely shoes are required if quick escape is required due to mice scaring you. 😂🐁🐀🤣
Thank you Mike for letting us meet your dad, that was awesome.
Someone with experience in farming gives your channel a new dimension. And glad he mentioned the ease to setup this old equipment compared to the space shuttles you have nowadays.
I admire your calmness during the rush season of seeding time especially with all the land you have to sow. You still take the time to enjoy the history of your farming past. Its great. Good luck with the rest of the season
Great video Mike, good to see the boss imparting his knowledge 👍

Can we have a family history about your farm? I think it would be cool to understand how everything led up to this point.

I think he's ran through the history awhile back. I think it might've been when he was cleaning up his grandparents cabin for his wedding last year... Idk exactly what video it was.

Look after your Dad Mike, You never know when they will leave you. I'm 50 today and my dad died 18 years ago and my mother this year. Feeling all too lonely without family around me. I have good friends around me but birthdays are not quite the same especially without my Dad.
Yep. Your dad is just as awesome as I pictured him.
We got robbed of a stuck video! Mike you disappoint me. Was looking forward to the grandson(fender 724) pulling out grandpa(ernie aka Massey 1105)
Your dad is awesome
About time we got to see the boss
Nice to see your Dad in the video Mike
Super cool to hear from your dad. More dad stories please. You should interview him Mike.
Super cool that your dad was able to assist in this wideo. Thank you for having one of the best channels on KZread and have a awesome day 😀
Great Video Mike, my Late Father ran a 3m Massey 30 Grain/Fert Disc Drill from new on this farm from 1973 & mind it was a cracking piece of Kit had lots of similar things to these Drills your showing us. That Seeding chart under hopper lid is brilliant, Kilos to the Hectare & Ilbs to the Acre.
Can see how happy and proud you were when your Dad came out and chat on camera. Still a young looking man!
Nice to see your dad with you guys.
Might be best Mike Mitchell video ever!
I like how long it took to properly connect the myiad of hoses!! Wow!
So cool having Dad around and still teaching you young bucks the ropes of seeding.
Hi Mike, I is nice to go back to the old school way of doing things.
Absolutely love this video. Thank you dad for making an appearance so we could meet him. Thank you Mike and your brother as well. God Bless

allways listen to oldbeards. no matter what the job is, u know nothing compared to them :D
I remember being 6 yrs old, riding on the back of a drill while my dad was sowing wheat. It was 1980 and since we didn't have packers,I stood on the platform behind the hoppers. In Ga I've very seldom seen a mult-drill being used. In the early 80' I remember him finding the center of the field,so he could start bottom plowing on that line. We had non-flipping /standard plow,so you started in the center and worked out to the edges. I helped with harvest on a wheat farm in Byers Colorado in 1999,they were sowing with 60 ft drills like yours with green Steigers. Good memories!

We had an 856 IH cab-less with multipower as our big tractor. 4 bottom plow would bring the smoke.
Great video from an old scotch farmer🏴 and now a older truck driver in the uk 🇬🇧
I truly love it when I see a son working an learning from his father with Massey Ferguson equipment. Reminds me of my dad before he past 7 years ago an we had Massey equipment as well. Not going to lie ,,had a little tear in the eyeball , the video brought back very good memories to the surface, an that why MASSEY FERGUSON is favorite equipment. Good stuff 👍👍👍🇨🇦
Great to see your dad, great video😀👍
Thats awesome ya get to hang out with ur dad, he seems like a pretty cool guy🙂.

Yeah! There was no running on top of the drill or any kind of typical Mike stunts being played 🤔 We love what you do Mike ! And seeing your dad in a video was awesome!
Hi Mike, I'm sure a tour of Boot Hill would go down well with us all young and old. And if Bob would be able to do a bit of history on the kit would be as you say AWESOME. Thank you.
Great to see your dad please say hello to him.
Great video, its awesome to see your dad out and giving you young guys a lesson on old discers.
Great to see your dad
Hi Mike I was born on a farm in Lancashire England and in the late 1800s early 1900s it was farmed by a chap called James Rose . He emigrated to Saskatchewan in the early 1900s and farmed there the place where he settled was named after him as he was one of the first settlers there known as Rosetown if you know that place 👍
Great video Mike
Those are fun moments talking with dad about old equipment! Great video Mike! Thanks for sharing.
That was great meeting your Dad ,like his smile and you can see there is a lot of knowledge and experience

Nice Man for sure..you are a lucky man!
Good to see your dad hope to see him more he could tell us history of the farm
Loving the videos on the older equipment.
It would be awesome to get your dad on camera some.. I've been watching farming KZread for years.. The best content is sometimes from the elder farmers that have been living the industry for their entire lives.. I really enjoy Robert Welker from Welker Farms..Always good stuff!!
Great to see your Dad in a video Mike, have a good one. 👍
Amazing how little stuff rusts up there compared to very moist and warmer midwest
We plowed our farm in west Texas with what we called a one-way.That looks like our one way with a wheat or seed drill mounted on it.
Nice, seeing froward to actually putting them to work. It's seed, so you seed. They knew back then I guess. When did it change to planting, they aren't plants.
Hello from Germany, nice to see your old equipment working, very nice to see your dad in this video. Ernie has a really nice sound when he comes to work.
Hi Mike, I'd love to hear the whole history of when your family arrived to Canada and what they did the first year they arrived and so on until these days
Get your Dad on video all you can. You won't regret what it takes to get that footage.
Love to see more of your dad and for him to tell history of the farm and the old ways of farming
Hey Mike Sweet video. Glad too meet your Father. Be safe . Brgds from Lithuania

Love seeing you with your dad and the Fact he could seed a whole field before you even get your air drill set up, magic stuff Mike, pure magic!
Mike! Your dad seems awesome! Def wish we could get some stories and info about the good ole days!
Very cool your dad was in this video. It would be great if you could get him to do a video with you and talk about the history of your farm and the challenges they faced. Thanks you Mike for taking time to make videos and talk about ag and your farm operation.
That was really cool to have your dad come out and share his knowledge. You’re a lucky man Mike to have that gentleman!! Thank you for sharing this!! Stay well.

I'm glad your dad made an appearance! 👍 I I'm sure everyone can agree. Be neat to hear him tell some stories. Maybe history or fun and bad times or something like that. Also favorite and not favorite equipment to run.

Thank him from me, and thank you for your awesome channel.
Great to see your Dad in the video. What an awesome guy... would not mind seeing him more in the video's...

Boy Mike your Dad seems way younger then I was thinking !! Wish he wasn't camera shy. Maybe this will ease him in another video at some point lol.
Great to see your dad.
Love the Massey equipment from the 70s,80s,90s. Those look very well taken care of
Great that your dad was is a video Mike. Cool guy. Likes to joke around about the younger generation, just like my dad.
Your dad seems like he's a good man.

Great to see your dad in the video, he has quite a sense of humour too. Your family ran quite an operation back in your youth with three sizeable seeding outfits. Fun video.
Dad seems like a Kool dude hopefully he drop by in some more videos to drop some knowledge on you yonge fellows lol
Siempre son muy entretenidos tus vídeos. También ando con tractores y máquinas. Es muy interesante como hacemos lo mismo pero de diferente forma.
Would be nice too see that seeder in action behind MF 1800 or 1805... 😄
I see lighting working with you, how many times did you hit the pin, LoL 😆 🇦🇺 ❤️
It’s crazy to think that’s what you were using just 20 years ago. Very interesting video.
Cool to see your dad👍
So awesome to see your dad in a video. Seams to have a great personality, and it rubbed off on you all in the family.
Enjoy the older machines. If it were in Indiana there would be rusted tight with trees growing
This one is a good video old fashioned I like it they did it with no GPS what was second done
Awesome, to see and learn how that all went with seeding in early days in Saskatchewan👌🌱🍀👍
