Hog Manure Application | Nuhn Quad Tankers pulled by Versatile 4WD Tractors
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video I am out in the field with Neese Inc out of Grand Junction Iowa as they pump, load, haul and applicate Hog/Swine Manure. The video was cut short due to rain but I was able to get a little bit of all the action. The Hog Confinement building have a manure pit underneath them and the liquid manure is pumped out and loaded into the Nuhn Quad Tankers the are being pulled by Versatile 4WD Tractors. One the tankers are loaded the manure is being injected into a harvested field of corn and will be used as an organic fertilizer for next seasons crop.

Absolute unreal set up for manure spreading. The best I've ever seen
Now that's spreading it around. Nice and flat so no run off 👍. Enjoyed the video Mike thanks.

They’re running injectors, what run off?
I've watched Andy at farming fixing and fabricating spread a lot of manure, but the tandem tanker looks perfect for those big acres pretty amazing to me.
Very impressive. Big-Time operation. Thank you Mike.
What a great tanker fleet😁👍 all of them in one field looks impressive👍😉 Nice video again👍👍
And the interesting thing about these quad tanks is it comes in a few different capacities ranging from 8,000 gallons (2x 4000-gallon tanks) all the way up to 15,000 gallons (2x 7,500-gallon tanks)
I think this is one of my favorite videos. You’re awesome Mike
Nice seeing videos from my neck of the woods. Our renters have those guys pump manure for them out of majority of their hog buildings
Them versatile tractors are one of the best looking tractors ever
Hello and greetings from Ukraine! Good farm work.
tha was a great video brings back alot of memoires from when I worked on a 100 cow dairy back in the mid 70s that job was always mine and I loved it we would start mixing before morning milking, we used Badger equipment I think a 2500 gallon tanker with the propeller on the back we used a old M Farmall on the pump and worked the snot out of it it was a tough old tractor and pulled the tank with a Case 1030 open station they were fun times but they ( the farmers I worked for ) always made me eat lunch out side away from the house , easy work.
This Video is Awesome to see this many Units in one Location.
Great video Mike.👍
Good job
Great vídeo Mike.
Wow, what a setup 👍👍 that’s poop spreading on 💯
Awesome video Mike I love watching your videos man it takes me back to my custom farming days thanks for the share
Mike my friend thats a good video of versatile
That was awesome. Kind of surprised they would pull the tankers in tandem behind those tractors. The ground was flat, and not much traffic.
Good Day, Mike. Chihuahua, México.
Quite the operation here !
Hey Mike, you always post videos of farming techniques that I have never seen before. Nice job on this one. No wonder why I like Mike. 👍 Happy subscriber 😊!
Holy crap great video ( had to do it ) . Love them Versatiles. Wondering did that make the 450 snort?
Very good video appreciate it

Will I be the first today? Greetings from a sunny and snowy Sweden! 👍
Look so grate thanks for this amizig video
Good video.
Mike, great work !! Are those Versatiles sporting LSW tires ? They sure look good.
Impressive units to watch work. That's a lot of effluent per round. Would they normally empty the shed tanks i one day?
I made the mistake of watching some videos of political issues this morning so, I turned this video on to watch all of the politicians promises get buried.

I was cleaning out my calf shed the other day and it was too wet to haul. So as I piled it up close to the road it hit me. Theirs now a sign in front of it that reads " The Biden Agenda, free for the hauling."

Well worth the wait, great footage of iron in its natural habitat
Wow, just wow.
Great video Mike! I wonder can you haul manure faster with tankers then let’s say dragline? I know with tankers you can go further and there’s very little set up and tear down times as well.

For hog building they tell me this way is quicker than a dragline. If you had a large lagoon like on a bigger dairy farm and putting on a high rate dragging a hose would be faster.

Hi from France. What is the volume of both tanks, or the loading capacity? I think it's above road regulations limits for my country. All the best for your forthcoming videos.

It varies, but according to the manufacturer’s website, they range in capacity from 8000 US gallons all the way up to 15,000 US gallons.

I'll take the fragrance of cow slurry over the horrid smell of pig sh*t any day. But, I will say different smells are an acquired smell after a while. I have a freind that runs a human sh*t truck and he don't mind it lol. I farmed with my parents and I like the smell of slurry even when it blows into the city where people have no idea what that smell is while I'm silent but just laughing. True farmers love the shit smells deep down inside 😂

This smells like Niverville Manitoba, literally!
Try and get close to the cab of the tractor so we can see who is inside , and the experience Of being close would we cool when the tractor is working
Yummy,, I bet the smell was wonderful. Biscuits and sausage gravy for lunch?😅😂🤣
Mike, do you have any idea what a custom service like this charges? All that equipment comes with a cost so I wonder how the economics works out.
@farmhandmike
Жыл бұрын
I really don't know how they charge, by the gallons hauled I would guess and for the farmers who just have a few contract hog confinement buildings its probably more economic to hire a custom hauler versus owning the equipment to use just a few days a year.
@MrMoty91
Жыл бұрын
Most guys would charge 1.5-2 cents per gallon depending on how far they were applying from the building
Gibt es da auch Tiere???Oder sind die immer eingespert???
I noticed that when the front one is full they don't fill the back one is that because when the front one gets so full it fills the back one I'm very curious cause I have no experience with a setup like this I've only run a single liquid manure spreader

Big time pig time.
pig sh** oh man i bet that stunk!
What’s the point of having so many outfits in the field when they’re spending most of their time waiting?
Is it safe to say this is a crappy video lol haha 😆
Hey Mike, what a shitty video😆 sorry had to make the joke. I really like to see the big USA farm equipment at work. I do have a question though about the manure systems in in the USA. Why do you have tanks and separate manure pumps over there? It's messy and you need 2 tractors to spread with one tank. Here in Europe we have tanks that fill themselves they have a manure pump or vacuum pump onboard so you only need one tractor per tank. The only drawback with this system is that it takes a little longer to fill them when the manure is thicker, but we have a solution for tis problem ofcourse manure agitators. And also why do you Americans use such big manure tanks? We in Europe use smaller tanks because of soil compaction. And the benefit of good manoeuvrability of course because the roads and fields are much smaller over here in Europe. If we have fields far away we use manure containers these are small movable manure pits which fit a entire truck load of manure. This saves a lot of driving time from the farm buildings to the fields. I really prefer the European way of manure handeling because it is a lot less messy as the American way.
Oh God please save us from this shit!!!
