6:35, Ashton, don't be shy, you look fine, cheers!
Hey Mike, at the sound of your voice, my 3 year old daughter crawls up on my lap and ask to see the Lady farmer and her tractor.
I remember a cartoon in The Regina Leader Post, back in the late 70's. Farmer throwing a grain shovel in the back of his farm truck, talking over his shoulder to his wife saying, 'I'll be back tonight, I'm going to Manitoba to get our farm back'. Best wishes from Northern Manitoba.
Video been up for 1 hour and has over 4k views, that's better then Hollywood these days. Lol
Mike... what did you say? I COULDN'T HERE YOU WITH ALL THAT WIND!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Mike, I do not know if I have said this before - I am amazed at the mechanical work needed to keep your labor saving equipment running. I am also amazed at the intricacies and in certain cases delicacies of the equipment. Equipment that you need to do the massive tracks of land you farm. Thank you so much for sharing and God Bless you all. Praying you get the right amount of moisture.
Thank God Frankles made an appearance, I was getting worried. I know this is an old video, I'm just getting into the channel.
The degree of wind is determined by the logging chain hang on the farm pole😁

We use 1/2” chain 😂
The new farming fashion statement: yoga pants, runners and a "bunnyhug". LOL.
Mike you are one lucky man you better take good care of that girl
Ashtyn answers NEVER to your question about being comfortable about being videoed and then provides us with a BEAUTIFUL SMILE. You will eventually win her over and then the LEADING LADY will most likely be competing for your job. 😁📷🎥📸📹😁
Mike don't get carried away with the greasing, over grease can bad also 👍 🇦🇺
It is awesome when you think about Lil' Ashtyn having all that power at her fingertips, and firing up that big Bourgault. It sounded awesome!!!
Dude, You hit the jackpot! What a gal.
You don't have to say that Ashtyn is awesome, constantly! We already know that.

You and Ashton make a great team. You are both fortunate to be able to work together
I didn't believe in the flat earth subject until I started watch your videos! Keep uo the good work
Ashtyn is feeding you Well!
I am seriously impressed with your lunches good sir
Y’all are awesome. Every video just gets better!!!
Always interesting. God Bless you and your lovely wife.
Ashton. The only one that wears sensible farm shoes
She's the best veiw to look at around you folks , and best Worker I'd bet . Say hello from Ireland..
Tractor hydraulic systems should have a tank level indicator and warning buzzer in the cab. Too many times the first indication the operator has of an hydraulic leak is non functioning hydraulics because the tank is empty.
Seeding time... Never a dull moment
Unbelievable wind. Be safe out there. God bless
The key to keep land from blowing isn't necessarily moisture, it's having residue to hold the top soil. Mike I'm not telling you this, I know you know, just making the comment. I farm I'm Kansas and we have more problems with blowing after a rain when it's hot out if there is no residue. The top crusts over and that is prime conditions to blow when it's windy. Another thing many don't understand is the way to minimize blowing on bare ground is to till it and break the crust. The key is to not have bare ground.
Great video Mike
Ashtyn vs Mike .... auger remote control , ......... 1 - 0 😂
Thank you so much for the video!! Really enjoyed watching this. I am from England and also film agricultural machinery, Your very welcome to have a look. Thank you!!
Mike, I feel the shaft in the auger is bent , when you span it by hand in the last video the shaft looked bent and know with the noise and how its spinning it does look bent. As you already know this would kill the bearing and is probably why it broke the retainer bolt in the first place. Im not trying to be ''that guy'' telling you your business as i obviously cant see it from Ireland , but from the video it looks that way. Just an FYI I may be totally in correct. Kind regards . Thanks for the upload
I come from the northern part of Denmark. We have very sandy soil. 40 years ago it was common practice to plough the fields autumn and seed in spring. If it was a dry winter/spring there was dust everywhere og er had more than a summerbreeze. So I had sand in my underwea after a day om the tractor. Without cabin.
Ashtyn was like Wait did... Did you fixe my my rill eh why did you fixed it?
A few more acres heading for Canada . That a lot of wind to deal with good luck.
Ah yes, the look of panic when you thought the spout was in the tank and realize it isn’t. I know it well.
@OwenDavis-jn5ti

Is it? I thought it was because it started loading fertilizer in the seed because the auger wasn't emptied all the way.

Why is it holy?
In the wind at least you won't have to pay for sandblasting material if you need to do any prep work on it😀😀
Mike, you almost need a safety harness when you are on top of the cart when it's so windy! You take care.
Ashton, it’s ok. We understand, I could tell by the fidgeting of the sweater you were uncomfortable. Just But be comfortable in anything you do, we love the farming aspect of it all.
I'd love to see you Demo a Case Steiger Tractor with the Goodyear 1400 LSW tires on it pulling those Carts. A comparison of the Tracks to the LSW Tires on traction and compaction.
Holy crap!, I saw a tree at 4:06!

You get more packed in your lunchbox for one day than I eat in 4 days. How do you stay so thin with these elaborate meals your wife packs you?

Perception is that cereal farmers sit in tractors most of the time, but just seeing Mike walking around , climbing onto, over and under all his equipment to fix it, grease it etc.. I reckon he gets plenty of excersize during the day.
Love it
Part 2 of 2 let's go
Got to love sask wind eh lol
Deer sheds 😍
was wondering when the part 2 was coming ahaha
Ohhh you got it to gather lol she was going in hard
Its windy out there😎
Well that blows 😃😃😃.

And I thought we got bad wind here in Ireland!
You better get bigger trailers or one more as triple, if you're teaming up with Ashton when seeding, Mike! :D And a tip: Put velcro inside your hat! Haha!

@@wssides OK! Thanks for you tip, Bill! I will test it by myself first. I've a good trimming machine for animals I can use in Autumn! Haha! I've only catched in my palm a rear view mirror glass, with Cyano glue on backside, when I nearly lost it. I could stretch out my hand thru sidewindow instead! ;D
Hey brother love from India
You need to get some slippers for in the cab of your tractor.
8:27, shhhh, that's the only moisture you'll get, lol, cheers!
Will you have an end of season wrap up video on what you do to the drills ?
6:45 I see a tree! A tree!!
As we say in Scotland, man its stoorie !
Seeder seems reddest when the wind starts blowing
Where did Mike ever find Aston. She is one in a Billon ! Yes; Billion !!!!!

with all that wind, you would think saskatchewan would have way more wind farms.
Jeeez you guys need some hedges.... a lot of them
@wssides
3 жыл бұрын
Hedges get in the way of large equipment when they are close enough together to do any good.
How many hours typically do u put on tractor during planting seeding
It blows like that because the only thing between you and the North Pole is deer. 😂
les filtres à air doivent être ... un bon souffle feuilles ...
Mike can I buy those antlers? 😆
Oh man that face 🤣😂
Imagine using sprayer drones than getting that wind.. LOL.
Surprised you've not gone into wind farming
What's up mike?
How is the stuck-count this spring? 😜😜😜🚜🚜🚜
The grease fittings on the pillow and flange mount bearings lube only the area in the self aligning surfaces not the ball bearing.
@oldtimefarmer3405
3 жыл бұрын
No there is a hole for the grease to get to the ball bearings
Mike, did you say you were suffering with 'wind'? You said 'it blow your hat off!' That's a bad medical condition.......Ha Ha Ha
I've heard antler sheads sell for a pretty penny. Idk if that's true but....
I am not a farmer ,, but I sure enjoy these video's ,, so now that your married ,, does Ashton still get a pay check lol
There goes your top soil no good Need rain to hold soil from blowing away
Can anyone tell me how those steering cylinders work? Like what controls them? Manual from the tractor? Thanks.
Mike! 1167?
I can’t even imagine how much grease you guys use you literally have thousands of points to grease even if your not getting them all regularly that’s a lot of greasing
@zeroiskingin3516
3 жыл бұрын
Imagine the costs in maintenance if they didn't lube up frequently 😳 As a JD parts guy, a lot of people take greasing for granted even though we mention that over 70% of our visits are due to parts that aren't maintained like they're told to
OMG I hate when my car parts are rattiling to the point of missing screws, I have to order parts where half the parts I don't know the part number of for the larger part I just need to put in [make] [model] [year] drive shaft but... screws, why don't they give replacement screws with the parts too just in case they fall off on the highway, like bumper bar screws. Yes, my car is... unhealthy but, with time repairs will be made
Did you think about getting the 1000 vario MT?
you trying the new Fendt 2 track soon ? sorry if you already said.
How big is the field yourr doing there
Would planting tree's around the fields help provide some wind breaks ?
@wssides
3 жыл бұрын
Very little on such large fields. For many years when equipment was small and summer fallow was universal many fields were divided into 40 acre strips by shelter belts to cut wind erosion and to hold snow on the fields.
Ashtyn > Mike 😂 sorry Mike
Mike, i have a question: How many guys are running during seeding? Obviously 5 guys/girls seeding, then 2-3 spraying, and... 4-5 trucking? 1 rolling? Is that a semi accurate guess?
Hey mike what part of uk is Lee from? I’m from uk but farm in Australia
Did i see a tree in the horizon?....08:58
Where is the video of the spillage between 6:23 and 6:24?🕵️
Was that a tree in the background there
What are planting now?
