@@AuthLing I’m an English speaker - from South Wales, UK. My grandfather was Ukrainian - though technically a Polish citizen, as you can probably tell from the spelling of my surname. I know a reasonable amount of Ukrainian, and often hear the parallels with Polish - but I’ve never studied Polish, or seen the sound shifts, laid out.

A to nie поїзд, pociąg po ukraińsku?

Поїзд and потяг mean the same thing in Ukrainian. However, потяг and pociąg mean "train" while поїзд (train) and pojazd (vehicle) are false friends.
