Surprisingly I was able to guess all of them with the exception of Ancient Greek because I wasn't sure you'd consider it a dead language (as Greek is still spoken). Was very cool, I loved these! Please do more. :)

@@weltschmerz0 nice :) Even though he has at least a slight "accent" (away from the standard pronunciation) of all these languages, to people familiar how these languages sound, I think they can be identified VERY fast, mainly using a combination of intonation and sounds/sequences of sounds. What languages do you speak?
I messaged you back in 2015 when you were at Harvard, you might not remember but I asked you about contacting Noam Chompsky. Anyway, I am into indigenous languages and I am in Guatemala learning Chuj de San Mateo, and Q'anjobal which is proving a challenge now at almost 70 years of age, compared to when I learned German at 5 and Spanish at 18 and Sign Language at 60. You are an encouragement to all language learners and cementing the truth that the human mind is amazing.
Please put out more content! I love seeing your progress over the last decade.
man, was just watching that video of you speaking farsi when you were 15, and wow you have improved so much!! i mean, you were fantastic before but had an arab accent, but now it is so much more persian! well done, and i am so happy you decided to keep learning and practicing farsi all this time :) much love to you
Dude … its so flipping fun to hear you dance through such different languages. And you topped it off with the Classics!
Tim is back! I can't believe it. ❤️
You were one of my initial inspirations for getting into learning languages actually :D Now I am quite good in Arabic and Spanish, but also learning Persian, Hindi, Latin, Sanskrit, Portuguese and others :)

Thats not ”just”, thats very impressive man. You speak four languages
Only didn't get Greek immediately, but then I already speak Arabic and Hebrew, studied Latin in school, and I've watched more anime than I should have.
Man, what were you doing for the entire 2 years of not being on social media . So happy that you are back
Omg long time no see! We’ve missed you!
Tim is awesome!
I could guess every language except Ancient Greek, even though I don‘t speak either of the languages in this video. Btw great to see you back on KZread Tim, I hope to see more videos in the future 🙂
I must say that your Farsi accent is very good!
I wanna guess too! This looks fun!
Gotta love Tim! I will admit I got very few of these right - I've got some more work to do on my own language skills.
I love your Arabic! You motivate me to carry on with my studies.

Guessed all of them except Greek and Latin - need a refresher in Classics, apparently! By the way, your Arabic is amazing! Did you study it with a Maghrebi speaker? My native dialect is Shami/Levantine.
I got them all! I really wanna try my hand at this with you sometime
Wow I actually got them all right! The Ancient Greek one was kind of a guess though, and you gave away Latin too easy with the reference to Caesar’s death :p
Do you stopped making videos? i enjoyed your channel very mutch very good inspiration
Such inspirationn.. Salam dari Indonesia 🙏🏻
hey im wondering, how did you start learning a language? id want to speak russian cuz its similar to my mothertounge so...
I'm surprised the first person missed the "Isreal"
I never thought I’d see the day where Tim would either be back or his comment section would be full of $ € X bots 😭
Hey Tim, just wanted to say that your farsi was spoken very well !
When you speak Hebrew you have a bit of a french accent and it's adorable
TIME IS TREMENDOUS! he can learn a language and speak it in 6 months and that too long time ago.
I would love to participate. Can we sign up somewhere to do this I guessed all without your hints.
Genial!!!
Well, I'm greek and I couldn't understant greek! Had to rewatch it and recognised a few words. Latin was much better though! Still amazing job you do there!
Pls come back
She said Farsi so much for Arabic! One would think it would be the other way around. 🤭
Hi Tim! Have you ever considered learning Turkish? You've mastered all the other languages in the middle east. It would be interesting!

He knows, not as much as Arabic or Persian but ge knows in a decent level.Btw,there are still languages like Kurdish(with at least 3 different dialects),Assyrian,Azerbajcani Turkish, and Armenian(due to some Armenians living in Syria) in Middle East. But yeah due to languages he already now,if he wnats he can speak all ME languages,at some level.
got em all within first 5 words 😂
First one is easy, Hebrew. I'm fluent in Hebrew and French, and my mother tongue English.
I wish the contestants would go with the flow and gave more spontaneous answers, I was like: Say something, dude!
Omg I love you
How can she jump from guessing turkish, russian and romanian?! They are such different languages!
bruh has anyone ever told you that younger you in the thnkr interview looks like ren amamiya this shit uncanny
OMG hes persian is REALLY GOOD!

He gave her many hints! Yisrael = Israel Betach, is also "Of course".
Easy, Arabic. I am American Israeli so I know a few words in Arabic as well.
Have you ever tried Sicilian?
Can u speak any Skandinavien languages
Your accent sounds very French in Hebrew, but your Hebrew is really good
Tim: do you speak Spanish too? 😃
Did I hear the first line of Genesis in Hebrew there :)
Got 4 right
I got every language, except Hebrew for some reason 😅
Hi Tim ! I looking after you for while and now I found you and you are not active anymore 🥺 من وقتی که ویدیو شما رو دیدم فکر میکنم تو مصاحبه تلویزیونی با تلوزیون استرالیا بود.
Hebrew on point 🔥
He wouldn't have trouble communicating with locals in a lot of countries.
Can you timestamp your video please

I originally misread the title as “guess the language with _other_ polyglots | tim doner” and was so confused at how so-called “polyglots” couldnt even guess basic languages like chinese and farsi and hebrew, but then halfway thru, reread the title, and realized it was “with _American_ polyglot | Tim Doner”. Lmfao 🤣 🤣 im sorry To the first two ladies for yelling at the screen about how they could call themselves as “polyglots” when they couldnt even guess basic languages like chinese. But, i admit, it wouldn’t really make sense to play “guess the language” with polyglots anyways, lol.
Hey guess what. By 2027, I was born in 2005 and will beat your record and become the new youngest hyperglot at age 22. I am fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, and am taking on German, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Latin, Greek, Russian, Aztec, Nahuatl, Navajo, Hindi, Urdu, Mayan, Cherokee, Ukrainian, Polish, and Turkish
