Guess the Language with American Polyglot Tim Doner
Check out the English FluentWorlds app: apps.apple.com/us/app/learn-e...
This video was so much fun to make! I challenged random people to guess which language I was speaking. Some of the languages were alive, but some of them were dead, making it much more challenging. Check out the full video to see how many of the languages people guessed correctly. Play along yourself and let me know how you did in the comments!

Hello Tim from 2015

I watched him alot back in 2015 as well. Really cool to see hes still present on here. Would be cool if he could post more often, but its great that hes still around at least.
Tim Doner, always a shining light in the bleak monolingual American landscape. I hope that one day, when you are so inclined, you'll try this again, using some of your less recognizable Central Asian and African languages but with non-American interlocutors.
After years I can hear you, OMG. Tim please make more videos on KZread.
The funniest thing is that you are saying the name of the languages haha.
Tim - man you disappear for ages and then pop up with awesome vids like this one. Keep posting more! You inspired me to learn languages. Finished B1 in German, Level 1 in Farsi, Turkish and Italian. So I could guess German, Russian and Turkish in this video. Couldnt guess the ones for Babylonian and Hebrew though.
It's so great to see you after so long mate you inspire me a lot in my language learning!!!✨🙌
This is such a cool idea! So glad to see you posting on here once again Tim! 😃😃
always love seeing a new video from you
This is so sick, Tim you’re so freaking talented bro its wild!
Glad to see you back Tim!
Nice to hear from you again, Keep it up Tim. Peace and love from Syria
I'm so glad he's back!
This was amazing! Great job!!!
This is awesome, wish you would upload such videos frequently.💫
Great fun! Thank you Tim.
Remember watching your videos some time ago cool to see your uploading again :)
After a long timeee!!!Great
Thanks god!! I was waiting for that for a long time🎉
Nice to hear from you again 🤩
I found 3/5, not that bad ^^ I think I can speak on the behalf of many: we missed you and we're glad you are back 🥺
You have returned! 🙌
Tim is back and all grown up!
Imagine being Tim and turning on the universal television, how interesting even if the show isn't, it's such an ease he can practically speak to almost 85 or even 90% of the population of the world.
WOW! Tim, I've just listened to a video of yours speaking Hebrew, but that was 12 years ago. In this one, 11 years after, your Hebrew has changed dramatically (for the better, of course) and even your accent is quite good (much better than the one you had 12 years ago...) [If you need any help improving your Hebrew, feel free to reach out]
Awesome video! Would love to see more Farsi vids 😉
Dude, please show up more often!
Welcome back 🥰
Tim has finally returned.
I recognized all the languages that are still alive but I guessed Sumerian instead of Babylonian… I was close tho! 😅 That was nice, it’s been a long time since your last vid!!! :)
amazing omg.. Keep going on..
We miss you Tim!!!
Hello, Tim! I would like take your challenge! I enjoy learning languages like you as well. I am currently learning Welsh, Esperanto, Japanese, and German on iTalki. ^^
.واو ستا ژبې ډېرې خوندورې دي .
Welcome back
Daha önce izlediğimde Türkçen bu kadar iyi değildi muhteşemsin 🥰
A nice video, Tim. But I just want to say one thing. The language which is spoken in Azerbaijan isn't called Turkish but Azerbaijani language. But they are similiar languages as they are tukic. By the way you are great and the first polyglot who inspired me to learn languages. Thanks!
Тим, Я скорее единственный твой зритель с Кавказа )) Недавно для себя открыл твой канал ) Parlo anche in italiano , mi piacerebbe parlare con te in qualsiasi modo . Un abbraccio e buona fortuna !
Tim, let's meet up either online or offline this year! Muhteşem olabilir kanka!
I got them all right, even though I don’t know all the languages. (I am best in German of all the ones you used, followed by Russian, a tie between Hebrew and Turkish, and Babylonian.) I got Babylonian because I heard “Enkidu” and I even recognized you were saying Gen. 1:1-2 in Hebrew. (I actually already memorized Gen. 1:1 in Hebrew. I also know Deut. 6:4-5 in Hebrew and know how important it is in Judaism, even though I’m not Jewish.)
How do I get in the next version of this video?
I'd really like to participate in one of these episodes. :D
I can't find you language app in Android phone

I guessed all of them right except for the Babylonian one. Next time you play with me, okay ?
I got all of them right, including Babylonian - "Enkidu" gave it away 😉

Haha same 😊
Dude you gave some away by naming the countries. But seriously I got 4 without the countries
Hi Tim
Bro where have you been
Cool guys, In my case I wanna learn hindi Professor Doner 🙏🙏 Sadly in my country english is not an official language that is incredible ... I wanna meet this guy (Tim Doner) because i wanna learn a lot of languages I am studying psychology and nutrition.
German, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew
I guessed all of them right ברוך ה'. German I guessed cuz I speak Yidish. Turkish I guessed because I know a little Uzbek from my friends. Russian my uncle is chief Rabbi of Ukraine. Babylonian cuz the Torah has Unkelos. Hebrew Of course cuz I'm Jewish. 😂
It's Gary Brannan's son!
Greetings from Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬
I knew every language, I even guessed the babylonian correct. I only confused hebrew with armenian.
Babylonian sounds so cool.
Ojibwe update!
A bit of mispronuncistions in Hebrew and slight accent in Russian, but really cool! Also, the fact that he speaks reconstructed Babylonian is super cool.
Will there be a new Teen Polyglot challenge?

I'd like a "grown up" polyglot challenge 😅
hiii tim
and as we say in Arabic : عوداً حميداً
I’ve studied German and I speak Russian and can understand Spanish to a fair extent. It’s always crazy to me because, once you know a foreign language, you can’t just turn off the ability to understand it. Like, sometimes I’m watching something in Russian or German and I’m just like “wtf I know German” Am I the only one who has these weirded moments?? Lmao
